  1. excellent pickup..."Precious Metal" kicks ass!!!
  2. Anybody have any updates about this site good or bad? I see they have the TRASH - "BURNIN' ROCK" cd that i've been looking for (mine is a boot ) but was weary about dealing with them after reading this thread...
  3. They talk a good game, but if you want to support companies that actually give a damn about their customers, NEH and Wishing Well are much better bets... -Dan Since I've heard alot of great things about NEH I might let them take my pre-order virginity & reserve my copy of the new TRIUMPH cd/dvd greatest hits package...looks like a goody
  4. Hey Jacob an excellent thread that I just now came across! Maybe I didn't see it cuz I had milk in my eyes from drinking out of my cereal bowl I LOVE cereal always have always will with some of my faves being Apple Jacks, Lucky Charms, Coco Puffs, Honey Bunches of Oats (peach & strawberry), Trix & Cherios w/ bananas...Hell I'll eat it straight outta the box if need be...
  5. Hey King I deliver mail also & get tired of the bad rap the P.O. takes when someone says they mailed something & then you get it & the postmark tells the real story...Now I know we're not perfect but damn...
  6. You do have a good point about that although his onstage banter doesn't bother me as much as some other bands because he seems to really be having a good time & it doesn't seemed forced. They did leave out some songs that I really wanted hear like "NEVER AGAIN", "FOLLOW YOU HOME", "ALL THE RIGHT REASONS" & "SIDE OF A BULLET" but I'll survive...Yes Shinedown should've played longer, would love to see them headline their own tour! Damn I forgot from the earlier posts' that you were going to this show...we could've said hello in person
  7. What an excellent band that was pretty much over before it even got started...had the "Shine" ep on vinyl when it came out. Andrew Wood's death was such a waste of talent...loved the tune "Chloe Dancer/Crown of Thorns"... listening to: GREAT WHITE - SHOT IN THE DARK
  8. Very well said brother...sometimes we're too busy dwelling on the NOT so important things about someone (hair/bandanna/reality show) & don't focus on the things that really matter (being a father/son/partner). Bret might not have the greatest voice or maybe Poison wasn't your cup of tea (I can think of some worse bands) & "Rock of Love" was sometimes hard to watch but you know what? WHO CARES?? This is a guy fighting for his life & he is a member of the genre that we all love & respect so let's give him a little of the same...
  9. Went to see Nickelback last night in Kansas City & once again they simply kicked ass!! This was my 3rd time seeing them & they seem to get better every time. Shinedown was also on the bill & it was my 1st time seeing them live & they were excellent as well...They did a scorching acoustic version of Skynyrd's "Simple Man" & had the crowd in a state of frenzy (that's the reason I think they had Shinedown play 2nd after Sick Puppies & before Breaking Benjamin as not to upstage Nickelback )
  10. TREAT - WEAPONS OF CHOICE 1984-2006 This is my first taste of Treat & I'm really diggin' it...How did I not hear about these guys back in the 80's??
  11. Just received these in a trade with Stefan: TREAT - WEAPONS OF CHOICE 1984-2006 CRASHDIET - REST IN SLEAZE (ORIGINAL PRESSING) on a side note I forgot to send Stefan his cd's but I just PM'd him & apologized & promised they would go out first thing tomorrow...
  12. Yeah just got home & read about it...here's hoping he pulls through
  13. Wow I didn't know about the Japanese versions of these cd's with the bonus live tracks...I started this thread all excited about these new reissues but now after reading some of these posts about the Jap issues I'm pissed off that we don't get those versions....
  14. Great pickup Junky one of my all time favorites...Shortino rocks Absolutely; Shortino is great and the Rough Cutt debut is amazing. Have you heard the 'Anthology' CD at all? There are some previously unreleased tracks on it, so I'm wondering if I need to pick it up... I have the 'Anthology' cd & it is worth getting...love the song "Prowler" which was originally one of the studio tracks on the 'Live' cd...Was lucky enough to see them live in 85 or 86
  15. Great pickup Junky one of my all time favorites...Shortino rocks My finds today at the used shops: PUDDLE OF MUDD - STUCK (very rare EP released in '94 before they were signed) VAIN - NO RESPECT (extra copy) SHADOW KING - S/T GUN - GALLUS STRYCHNINE - BORN TOO LOOSE TONTO TONTO - MIRROR FOR THE BLAME THE ALMIGHTY - BLOOD, FIRE & LOVE BON JOVI - NEW JERSEY (REMASTER) " - CROSS ROAD (DELUXE SOUND & VISION 3 DISC SET) GIANT - TIME TO BURN ROCKHEAD - S/T
  16. Thanks for posting that Wes...I hadn't had a chance to do much research on those yet...
  17. I don't think I've seen this posted yet, but I heard on the radio this morning that Bon Jovi is reissuing their whole catalog w/ bonus live tracks, new artwork & new liner notes. The live tracks will be from that specific albums tour which I think will be pretty cool. A friend of mine who owns a cd store in my area confirmed May 11th was the release date for these...The first 2 will definitely be on my top priority list!!
  18. RAVEN - NOTHING EXCEEDS LIKE EXCESS VAIN - MOVE ON IT TYPE O NEGATIVE - THE LEAST WORSE OF...
