  1. Flight A powerful film about a pilot that struggles to come to terms with his alcohol addiction. Stars Denzel Washington, John Goodman, and Don Cheadle. The Man with the Iron Fists A martial arts film starring hip hop artist The RZA, Russel Crowe, Lucy Liu, among others. Fairly straight forward martial arts film. Redline An anime about intergalactic road racing. Intense action. Incredible animation. High-energy soundtrack. If you like anime, I'd recommend it. Django Unchained This one is being considered Quentin Tarantino's best work to date. I agree, it is very well done, but I must also admit I had a difficult time watching it.
  2. Did Dave make out there, too? KIX are incredible live. I envy all those bastards out there. I wish I could see them at least every other month.
  3. You didn't know Russel Crowe could sing? He's got his own band.
  4. Why do you hate to mention Adriangale?
  5. I thought he was talking about music, too, but it's just basketball. I love Jazz! Exciting, creative, unpredictable stuff. Actually, I was just bein' a wise ass. I honestly know next to nothing about jazz (the music, or the basketball team)... just that it ain't my thang. A guy in my office is a major jazz head, tho, and I gotta say he has gotta be one of the most musically-pretentious motherf*ckers I have ever met....this dude will look @ the CDs on my desk and ask "So when are you going to grow up and listen to real music?" or "You still listen to crap like this at your age?" ... he doesn't know how lucky he is that I haven't slapped the f*ck out of him yet. Heh! Let me know how that goes down. I do agree, a lot of jazz heads are "musically-pretentious motherf*ckers." That could be said about a lot of genres, but seems more prevalent in Jazz. Me? I'm just the most well-rounded man you'll ever meet. ;}

  7. Now this is what the fuck im talking about, so now your going to tell me that youve only seen it on cd one time in 98 for $5000 right? Nope. It's available through Retrospect Records. http://retrospectrecords.com/products/rex_hunter.html
  8. Yeah, I downloaded the album from the Motor City Rock website, but the sound quality isn't so great. Very groovy stuff. I need to track down a copy.
  9. 'Tis true. His knowledge is terrifying at times. I think if put my focus into just this genre, I might be able to know as much as he does, but alas I love too many different styles of music.
  10. Last time, I didn't even know there was a schedule to print off. Some people were showing me them while we were waiting to board, but some of the show times were changed anyway. There will be schedules on board, which will all be updated, should any changes occur. So, I won't bother printing one off. I will check it out to get a feel, but I'll just wait till I'm there.
  11. Yeah, it's that "sappy sentimentality" that really killed this one for me. Not to say without it this would have been a great film, mind you. The robot fighting stuff was fun to watch, though. They should've just made "Rock'Em Sock'Em Robots: The Movie" and had robots beatin' the shit out of each other for two hours, with no human characters at all. Honestly, that's what I was expecting.
  12. Taken 2 I enjoyed it. Like Geoff said, good for what it is.

  14. Have to admit, I don't get how a weak sound represents a rough looking band. Again, just talking about Crazy Lixx as I've not heard Crashdiet. I've seen a lot of bands live and I've never heard a band on stage with tin drums. The drums usually sound HUGE. When I see a band live I love a good crisp set up with the band sounding as heavy and clear and clean as possible. And that's how I like my albums to sound too. I think it's all nice and noble to say how a raw sound is nice, but when raw means a paper thin sound and piss-weak drums... not sure how that represents a rough hard rock band at all... personally. A big production job always gets the best out of every instrument on the record. Can't see how that's possibly a bad thing in anyone's book? Believe it. There's a difference between sounding raw and sounding like shit. One sounds raw. And the other sounds like shit. Edguy had this problem Tinnitus Sanctus.
  15. Wall of Silence. You probably have it, but I had to say it. Easily one of my all-time favourites.
  16. You can sleep when you're dead! Actually, there is plenty time for sleep. The last show ends around 2:00 AM, and the first show in the morning is usually at 11:00 AM. Enough time to get seven hours sleep, wake up, shit, shower, eat, and do it all over again. Also, multiple bands have multiple shows, so you should be able to catch nearly everyone you want to see. I can't wait. It's all I've been thinking about lately.
  17. Ha! Nope, haven't seen them, but it sounds like something you'd throw on your car. I don't put stickers on my car ever, unless I found an 'I love my pug' or 'I love my puggell' sticker. But if I did I would entertain this possibility. It definitely made me laugh when I first saw it. Let me get this straight Geoff. So.. If you found a pug sticker, you would get a stick figure sticker (representing yourself)... Then you would have the stick dude bend the pug over the table with his rod jammed deep inside...? You are one sick man, Geoff!
  18. Ha! Nope, haven't seen them, but it sounds like something you'd throw on your car.
  19. My kids think he's hilarious. They beg me to bring his Dare To Be Stupid album with us anytime we go for a ride in my truck. That is awesome! Well done, sir.
