  1. This CD is looking to be like the rush to get an iPhone only to have a new version appear a few months later.
  2. They have music floating around if you are lucky to find it.
  3. Yuck. TRIBE AFTER TRIBE were terrible. Agree with you on that. DIRT WATER DAWGS (One of Jimmy's bands after TROUBLE TRIBE) was good though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxW4If5HnN4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJS9hKzgHI4
  4. Yes. Those shops all belong to a corporation called Trans World Entertainment. And it does not have a good track record for keeping stores in business. If I remember correctly, they had over 15 or so companies and now they have about a handful.
  5. Familiar with most of those. Jailbait have always been cool even with Simme on vocals before he went to Crashdiet. They kind of reminded me alittle of Legs Up/Sledgehammer Ledge. Italy has many many more glam bands hidden but as typical in the scene they come and go overnight or play musical chairs. BTW, the Nasty Noize address has 'rock' at the end.
  6. Thanks SUICIDE these guys are cool !! Where are all of these bands coming from they are all over and we are only finding a small amount of them !! Loads currently are in Europe and some good ones have vanished also. Some people seem to focus on the same bands coming out of Europe because of more press when there are many many more than just the standards fans always mention like: More Glam/Sleaze types bands for anyone to check out... Rakel Traxx Tabby Cats MySpace page seems dormant now but they were good. Hollywood Pornostar Jolly Rox Cathouse
  7. Yes. You better before they go under. I see them being absorbed by another company on their parent company with that survivalist sales plan. They already get lower wholesale pricing and most likely on consignment which makes me think they asked for record labels/distributors to lower their wholesale pricing so this $9.99 pricing would be worth it and were given a big 'NO'. They are probably trying to do to music what Amazon does for its e-books but it will not work.

    Skull Daze

Very cool. I thought I recognised Johnny.
  9. A failed experiment sure to send them under if the F.Y.E. bosses go with that plan. Next plan?...They might as well only sell CDR albums.
  10. Will now perform Harakiri as I have shamed the music world. To metalmaniac777, I will you my shame and the art files for the Strike Twice album. Please burn them in my absence as I can not bear this evil done to mankind on my soul.
  11. Agree with the "The L.A. Guns' CD released after Phil vanished for abit. That was terrible. Do not know why Chris decided to sing like a growling monster for that CD when he sang alittle ok in Cherry St. with his glam vocals for what they were worth back then. But I would not say that was a selling out CD.
  12. Nope. Pressed silver discs. I asked just to make sure. -Dan Actual silver-pressed (replicated)... or diamond-silver bottom CDR (duplicated), which people are claiming are 'silver-pressed' these days? Very curious because I would like to buy one if it is a real replicated CD.
  13. Jeez mate, you're hard to please. Suncity's artwork has been excellent so far... All of my Suncity discs have great artwork. Between them and Eonian I don't know who puts together better booklets. Well, for what it's worth, I think Eonian has the better writer... HaH.
  14. Most Russian pressings are lower quality as stated and there is a fine line between being a a legit pressing and a bootleg. Russia is on the international list of heavy bootlegging countries for music as most Russian replicators do not follow any international standard set up by IFPI for stopping pirating of music. Because most Russian replicators are not registered with IFPI (which is the international organisation that monitors pressings by music manufacturers by cataloguing licensed anti-pirating CD producing equipment), it is easy for them to produce legit licensed products while also producing bootleg product underhand for profit. Without any way to monitor what is being produced and sold...of course the bands get screwed. Any record label that allows their product to be pressed by a Russian replicator is running this risk. It is a buyer beware when dealing with Russian CDs.

    FRENCHKISS

Not sure this is on already since my searches always find nothing. But these guys sound cool to me. Frenchkiss Myspace From the one song, the vocals came across to me being very Jan Ek of BIG HOUSE/Michael Monroe... Or I am just deaf.
  17. Agree with you fully. The designer of Suncity and Eonian needs to find a new job because they really are terrible at what they do. Absolute rubbish.
  18. Amateur designers suck. Almost like the designer used his toes and fingerpaints to design that cover. Yes. They are New Yorkers. They did not want the over 'glamourous' look as those songs are not from that period of the band. That is what the designer told me anyway, that git. Agree with you on this. That writer almost writes like Geoff. And that is terrible. Off with their heads. More like the 'ROT' of the problem. You will get your good trousers dirty rolling around on the ground like that.
  19. Yes. The designer really sucks.
  20. Back in the day... 1) KINGOFTHEHILL: because Frankie's mic seemed to be on mute through the whole gig. 2) BLACKBOARD JUNGLE: When they opened for Slik Toxic and Faster Pussycat. Same mic problem as Kingofthehill. 3) TALL STORIES: Because Steve played the whole gig until he and the band and roadies realised his guitar cable was not even plugged in. Plus they were terrible. 4) NEAR LIFE EXPERIENCE: Some (Most) guitar shredders should not try and sing lead vocals. 5) FASTER PUSSYCAT: Industrial Taime sucks The worst a few years ago was MITCH MALLOY acoustic in a small English Pub in the Uni area of the city. Boring. The booze was much better than the music.
