  1. Cassidy Paris - New sensation (had the digital copy when it came out, but finally tracked down a reasonably priced CD copy)
  2. Yeah obviously everything is down to personal tastes, but while nothing has been as good as the early days, I do think everything from These days to The circle has had some absolutely fantastic songs on them (with the exception of this Left sounds shite). And I even like a few tunes off What about now, but for me Burning bridges onwards has been utter dog eggs. 2020 was so bad I waited until it was dirt cheap before buying it, something I have never done with a Jovi album before, and I still think I over paid. I actually put together a Jovi playlist last night, and its amazing how many latter day songs were in it.
  3. Once again though, it's all gonna come down to personal tastes and what anyone classifies as AOR. You mention Magnum for instance. Many people will generally classify them as prog rock, not AOR. Cher I would barely classify as rock, AOR or not. Pat Benatar is melodic rock to me. Jeffersons Starship, is more pop oriented to me. But this just backs up my point that one mans trash is another mans treasure, and you will never be able to please everyone with these lists.
  4. I remain scepticle going on the last couple of albums that I really did not like, but I also retain a glimmer of hope just out of respect for their past work. All that said, I really could not give a shit what Hughs wife says as there is blatantly gonna be bias on her part. If Jon just decided to shit in a bucket and send it out as a new album, she would say it's great I am sure because her husband probably provided the undigested pieces of sweetcorn that adorn it. As for Mitch, he does believe anyone who dislikes anything by Bon Jovi is a "hater". I am certainly not a "hater" as I love the band. But I am also not some kind of blind fan who accepts any old crap a band puts out. I don't care if it's Jovi, Crue, Poison or Pretty Boy Floyd, if they release a dog of an album or a song that makes my ears bleed, I will be honest and give my true feelings, not suck on their extra long teets. Fuck me, I am starting to sound like @Geoff
  5. Thanks. How the hell smaller traders can get copies and Amazon can't is beyond me. Said it before, but there is something crappy going on between Amazon and Frontiers as Amazon always gets their CDs later than everyone else. They are the only label that always ships late on there. I was considering ordering a signed copy from her website, as it's about the same price as market place sellers are charging for unsigned, but of course postage nearly doubles the price. £21 for the CD, but £36 when you add in postage.
  6. So this is totally weird. I preordered the album from Amazon and they kept changing the delivery date, until it got to the point they said "we will let you know when it will be dispatched". There were copies available on marketplace, but charging over the odds. and as Amazon had let me download a copy I wasn't too fussed. I did go to a few other international Amazon sites and a few other sites that sell CDs, but it was either not available or overpriced. Looked on the Frontiers store and it is not even listed. Over a month later Amazon has cancelled my order and said they will not be able to get hold of it. As per usual, Frontiers never reply to any of the social media posts, so no idea what the fuck is going on with making this CD so hard to get.
  7. The point is, outside of the diehard fans, Mick was always the quiet man in the background with the other three getting all the attention. You have to remember that there are a lot of people out there who don't know everything about bands they listen to and believe what is spoon fed to them. How often did Mick get recognition? Not very often.
  8. If you watch the recent Q&A his goal was merely to get himself back into singing after his leukemia, and it basically turned out to be so popular that he kept doing them. If he did an original arrangement it would take longer as you essentially have to completely re-write the music and for something he was just doing for fun would probably mean he would no longer do them. I agree that if I am buying a covers album or have a cover recorded specifically for sale as a single or album track, I will always prefer a unique take (as long as it doesn't totally ruin the song) rather than a straight up cover. But I can understand when doing this for YouTube, doing your own take would be too time consuming, especially as just a side project.
  9. Director: "Hey CC, we need to do a video for your collaboration with Spike. What kinda video do you want?" CC ... sitting down doing copious amount of drugs "I dunno, just make it how you think I see the world"
  10. New single, Strung out on Sunset
  11. Might just be my old ears, but the vocals seem buried in the mix, especially on the first song. They do sound good, but just wish I could actually hear what he is singing. Oh and the videos themselves are awful. Bruce has many talents, acting is not one of them.
  12. Like I said years ago. Don't expect an album any time soon Forgot to post this ages ago
  13. Mick is starting to show who the real talent was in Motley Crue. For me he has always been underrated as a guitarist purely because of the band he was in. I remember an interview on one of the VHS tapes they released years ago (at least I think it was) where he said he does not understand why so many guitarists practice the songs they play before gigs, and he said if you don't know the songs by now, you never will and that he prefers to do random stuff and come up with new idea. He also said he does not care if what he plays is technically right, he just cares if it sounds good.
  14. I just do not get why they keep releasing these songs. They were not good enough for the album and are older than Mick Jaggers ball sweat. It's about time to write something new, with Slash and Duff involved in the writing process. Maybe then we might actually get something that sounds like GNR
  15. Another Chinese Democracy cast off. This time with an awful AI generated video. Have to say that I do like some of the Chinese Democracy era songs .. this is not one of them.
  16. I very much doubt that. From what I have seen and heard over the years, Olli made most of the main decisions with the band. Hell it was his band basically (which is why it went on hiatus when he joined Crashdiet). He got an offer he could not refuse. Despite not being known outside Finland, Popeda probably sells more records in Finland than Reckless Love sells world wide, and probably plays bigger venues too. It may be his fan boy dream, for all we know, but you would have to say that he must be making a lot more money joining them. Maybe he will return, maybe he won't. Guess we will just have to wait and see.
  17. Yeah this is defo gonna be an essential purchase for me this year.
  18. Didn't really do much for me, and the vocals are barely audible in that second video. The mix is horrible.
  19. So after re-reading both statements in the correct order, my take is that the band is on hiatus due to them waiting to see if Olli returns, but sounds like Hessu is not willing to wait. Just seems a bit of a mess of a situation where one guys decision has kinda derailed the band. Like many bands, the focus of this band has always been on the vocalist, and when that vocalist leaves the band is pretty much destroyed. If they carry on with a new singer, they will lose a lot of diehard fans who only care about the singer, and will constantly get comments like "It's not XX without XX on vocals". "No XX no XX". The other option is to call it quits, and then those same people who complain about new singer will be the first ones complaining the band has split. It's a no win situation. Replacing a vocalist in a band is the hardest piece of the jigsaw puzzle to replace. Sometimes it works (VH, Sabbath, AC/DC, Maiden) other times it doesn't (VH, Sabbath, Maiden, Warrant). With a band as relatively small as Reckless Love some might think its easier, but I personally think it works against them as their fans are absolute diehards for the most part.
  20. Actually I missed the official announcement and seems it's now just Pepe and Jalle continuing Dear fans and followers, As many of you already know, Olli joined the legendary Finnish rock group called Popeda at the beginning of the year. This will take 100% of Olli’s concentration and efforts for the time being. Consequently, we are announcing a break from touring and recording until further notice. Our work will continue as soon as the time is right. We are also announcing that we have parted ways with our drummer Hessu Maxx. Our decision was mutual and formed over a long period of time. We want to emphasize the fact that this was not a rushed decision. There is no hard feelings or drama involved from either side, as we all feel this was a natural developement within the bands internal relations. We want to thank Hessu for his hard work for the band, all the fun we’ve had on the road and all the great things we have achieved together over the years. We wish Hessu all the best for his future endeavours. We will come back. We always do. Our love for you will never die - because it’s Reckless Love. yours, Olli, Jalle and Pepe
