Just watched a Dirty Harry marathon... Dirty Harry Magnum Force The Enforcer Sudden Impact The Dead Pool They are rather dated but it got me wondering...why haven't they rebooted this franchise?...they have rebooted everything else....

That would be weird. At the moment they have brilliant lyrics and are thus a brilliant band. It'd be weird if they just had boring "good" lyrics and were just another hard rock band. Ha yeah I knew that would be an unpopular statement, but for me it's true...I can't get past the lyrics on their albums. I thought I was alone around here with that opinion. I love the music but the lyrics make me cringe. It turns them from a legit rock band into a woman-repelling novelty. doesnt seem to repell them at their gigs lol!! I think its widely accepted that the lyrical content is just 'for fun'. Personally I find their lyrics hilarious and love their songs. All 3 of their albums have been splendid examples of perfectly executed melodic hard rock. Great music and the lyrics make me laugh...they are todays Spinal Tap....although much better musically....

300 - Rise of an Empire....excellent and very bloody.... Sabotage - pretty good action flick with Arnie as the star

A Walk Among The Tombstones - this one flew under the radar as I did not know about it until is got released on dvd...Liam Neeson playing a private eye...pretty good flick and worth checking out...

Right? Let's not get silly now. I'd buy a Pretty Boy Floyd CD and ask the person to announce it on the loud speakers across the store so I could soak it in. But let's be honest. These guys look absolutely fucking ridiculous in all imagery for this album. So far the music sounds good and I'm really looking forward to the album. But let's not get all defensive and dodge the gigantic gay elephant in the room. Big fan of their music, but they look sooo horrid. If you're cool being part of the annual Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, that's cool. Go for it. I'm sure you'll see a few posters of this album cover there this year. But it is not for me... What he said....of course if I really want a cd and the only way to get it is at the checkout then fuck what anyone thinks....I just think those guys should have rethought their image for the cover...

Some of the stuff I grew up on in the 70s is difficult to listen to today mostly because the production isn't very good....also my tastes have changed over the years...

I don't really mind if there is only one original member left in a band as long as the sound is the same...I get irritated when they change musical direction or sound completely different and still keep the same name...

English only for me as I do listen to the vocals...but bands are welcome to sing in any language they want...i just won't be listening...

I love 'Fire ...', but I don't think they ever came as close to brilliance as they did with 'Imaginos' It has been many years since I heard Imaginos and I realize that I do not have many of BOC's releases on cd....may have to correct that situation....

Lone Survivor - another Iraq war flick....okay I guess...
