  1. Which promotor brought out Winger & Ratt?
  2. Lita Ford - out (or was never in) Quiet Riot - out Warrant - out LA Guns - still in What a shit tour this has turned in to. I'd still like to see LA Guns and totally respect them for continuing but man what a disappointment going from 3 great bands down to 1. Why do so many bands get announced as coming to Australia and then cancel at late notice. Off the top off my head - Crown of Thorns and Jeff Scott Soto (who promised to reschedule) both did the same. There are so many bands that would love to come to Australia - how can we make it happen for them?
  3. I've never actually heard this album but being a Jeff Paris fan I have had this on my want list for a while. The original release was in smallish numbers and a Japan only release which is why a lot of people don't have this one. It does show up on E-Bay quite regularly but it is expensive. Now it has been re-issued (I'm not sure which label) with one bonus track 'Hygiene' and is available at MusicBuyMail for EUR 14.50 http://www.musicbuymail.eu/index.php?i=33687 01.Love Me, Do Me 02.Invisible Man 03.Tomorrow May Be Too Late 04.Fuel To Your Fire 05.Freedom Road 06.White People 07.Life Of My Broken Heart 08.Let It Out 09.Bottom Of The Barrel 10.All Night Long 11.Dancin' On The Ashes 12.Requiem For Stevie Ray 13.Hygiene
  4. Okay cool. I've bought from MusicBuyMail plenty of times before so I'll go with them.
  5. Stefan, where can you buy this from??
  6. So it's basically a second Soundwave festival. Don't know why they don't just call it "Soundwave 2". Yellowcard would be very cool to see.
  7. I heard a Whitesnake rumour. Very keen to see them again. Not sure what this "soundwave revolution" is? Where did that term come from?
  8. Couldn't agree more, along with Garrison, these guys are the best unsigned band ever.
  9. It's looking like only Quiet Riot have pulled out. Personally that doesn't bother me. As long as Warrant is in, I'm a happy man.
  10. I agree, excellent songs, each and every one of them. For demos they are of a pretty good quality too. I know there's more out there too - would love to see them all on an anthology type CD one day. Brilliant stuff, thanks a lot Todd.
  11. Anyone know if this is any good? http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/gradycain
  12. Wow, nice work on that list! Sure makes me wish I had a better paying job. I can't wait for that Whitesnake Monsters of Rock DVD. Work of Art, Kimball/Jamison, Jeff Paris, Journey, Big Life, 1927 - all very exciting. And Reckless Love - I'm expecting good things from their next album too. GREGG GIUFFRIA - tba (AOR) / Frontiers Records anyone know what this one is going to be like? THE STORM - tba (AOR) / Frontiers Records is this the Chlafant/Rollie band or someone else?
  13. Problem solved - There is a new noticeboard, looks good too: http://www.melodicrock.com/phorum52/list.php?1 The link to the old board is still on the homepage though.
  14. http://forums.melodicrock.com/phorum33/ If you click on the link it says: "Sad sad day.... MelodicRock.com Noticeboard 1999 - 2011 R.I.P." Nothing on the news page about it though.
  15. I'm sure most here will have something to say about this so called journalist who has written an article about Great White on the background of the 2003 night club fire. Personally I think he is scum. http://www.phoenixnewtimes.com/2011-03-24/music/honoring-the-people-who-died-listening-to-great-white-and-the-people-who-didn-t/
  16. A recent Warrant play list (March 2011). Sure Feels Good To Me Down Boys Big Talk Sometimes She Cries So Damn Pretty (Should Be Against The Law) D.R.F.S.R. Heaven The Show Must Go On Machine Gun I Saw Red Love In Stereo Sex Ain't Love Blind Faith Mr. Rainmaker Uncle Tom's Cabin Cherry Pie I'm pleased to see Mr Rainmaker on there. If I could pick a few more songs I'd like to see them play: Let It Rain Bed of Roses All My Bridges Are Burning Sad Theresa April 2031
  17. Aint ever done business with him, but yes, a top bloke, none better, don't hesitate to do business with him.
  18. Would be a cool item to own, that's for sure. There's no denying the greatness of this band. I'd be interested to know the value of this also.
  19. Yeah I've heard 2 of the songs from this album. Sounding really excellent.
  20. Hey nice review, well written. I still haven't heard the album myself, but I'm very much looking forward to it. I purchased the classic rock magazine edition and probably won't have it in my hands for 2-3 weeks yet.
  21. Welcome! Some nice play lists there.
  22. I've noticed this quite a bit lately, and it seems to be common among some of the newer Hard Rock / Modern Hard Rock bands on the scene. Basically if your album isn't made readily available and they don't reply to messages, then they won't be selling any CD's. At the very least, they need to put some info on MySpace/FaceBook or whatever their official website is, telling people where they can order a CD from.

    Journey

Some impressive statements there. I must admit I'm really keen to hear this.
  24. haven't they been in the studios for about 7 years now? Well yes, they've been saying that for years now, but this time they have actually entered the studio. Any hints as to what this will actually sound like? I have to be honest and say I'd be absolutely stunned if they actually produced something worthwhile. But it would be a pleasant shade of being stunned. I'm not really sure what direction they are heading in with thtis new album, but I can say the two new songs I have heard them play live are excellent. I'd be expecting something a lot more modern sounding than the classic 1927 sound but we shall see. To be honest these guys didn't write any songs that I didn't enjoy. I can play all three of their discs from start to finish and enjoy all of it. I don't know why, I just have a real liking for their sound.
  25. It is definately at the softer end of the Hard Rock spectrum, but I certainly wouldn't call this anything remotely like straight up pop music. IMO.
