  1. There are at least 5 killer songs on this album that are of 'Scars Remain' quality I do like that album. It doesn't get played a whole lot, but it's very consistent. Though that bloody nu-metal song puts me off so much. Hopefully they've left that side of their style a long way behind.... errr, no. 3-2-1 song is very NU-metal. But that wasnt one of the 5 songs I was referring to....in fact there are 6 that are killer. 321 is good as well (for a NU metalish type song).
  2. Havent you got a fuckin wheely bin I fuckin need one to hide all the fuckin bodies in. fuckin
  3. I need to listen to that again - struggled the first time round. np Lovex - Pretend Or Surrender Disciple - Southern Hospitality (again!) 2 VERY differnet albums, but both very good indeed.
  4. Disciple - Romance Me gets better with every listen

  6. Shit, not really sure what happened there, but I lost my entire post. Anyways Jez, about the Lovex disc........... I may have been a bit premature in my summation of this album. Im still not a big fan of the totally overproduced sound (soundwise comes across like a weird cross of Linkin Park and Kamelot??), but there are some good songs this. The first 3 as you say are all good and in particular I liked 'My Isolation' and 'Ordinary Day' when they rocked it up a bit and had some solos - very nice. Good call here mate as this could be a real grower and normally I wouldnt have given this the time of day. By the way I was joking about the pulse (but you are getting on a bit )
  7. Sorry mate but I listened to some samples of this and I wasnt blown away.....sounded like a spruced up Rasmus to me.............? Do yourself a favour and take a listen to Disciple's song 'Falling Star' - it absolutely kills this stuff stone dead. OK, so I might have been a bit premature in my summation of this album. I still dont like the totally overproduced sound (almost no recognisable drum sound - soundwise like a cross of Kamelot and Linkin Park), but there are some good songs on this. The first 3 are all good as you say and in particular I liked ''My Isolation' and 'Ordinary Day' when they rocked it up a bit and included some solos - very nice. Could be a real grower and a good call here mate cos normally I wouldnt have given this the time of day. PS - I was joking about the pulse (but you are getting on a bit ) Hmm - it's ok nothing special, I'll stick to the Lovex/Carmen Gray Thx. Check the whole disc out, rather than just soundbytes. Jez mate, Im starting to worry about you - how can you say that song is just 'OK'....it encompasses almost everything I love about rock music...massive riff, great chorus and a ripping solo. Check you pulse mate No need to worry about me mate, my pulse is quite normal, which is exactly the problem. I've heard stuff like this thousands of times over and this doesn't stand out i'm afraid. I just listened to a few other tracks just incase and the same thing. It may be stuff that encompasses everything you like in rock music, but it doesn't do it for me im afraid. It's ok, but we'll have to beg to differ on this one mate.
  8. Havent you got a fuckin wheely bin
  9. Falling Off The Edge Of The World - Black Sabbath
  10. I just dont get this......just thought it was all a bit dull. First spin impression tho.

Another win at the Weekend! 16 from 18. Jesus, even Im amazed at this run now. Will all end tomorrow night night tho - we are away to top of the table
  12. Pretty good return to form for these guys. Their 2006 debut was good and included a couple of killer songs, but now back with a new vocalist (who is awesome by the way - like a cross of Myles Kennedy and Bruce Dickinson) and a new EP. The last song (Pressure) is a little confused, with no recognisable hook and the 4th song - a ballad - is just 'nice'...........but the first three songs are all excellent (esp 'My Insanity' - excellent) and comes across like a more hookier Alter Bridge. Worth checking out.
  13. Some more thoughts - I would have left off the last 2 tracks and left this as a flawless 10 track album.

  20. Sorry mate but I listened to some samples of this and I wasnt blown away.....sounded like a spruced up Rasmus to me.............? Do yourself a favour and take a listen to Disciple's song 'Falling Star' - it absolutely kills this stuff stone dead.
