Sorry mate, I listened at their Myspace a few days back and I thought it sounded well dodgy. Poor vocalist and as you say some well dodgy lyrics....esp that 'speedos' song. WTF. A million miles from the standard of say BF, HEAT, Poodles etc............ The 'Firenote' and 'Sara La Fountain' tracks are excellent, but will definitely be checking out the full disc for the others, before comparing (for better or worse) with anyone. The vocals sound ok though and I have heard a lot worse. The band have a good sound in general, without re-inventing the wheel. Will get back to you on this one!! I laughed at the 'Well dodgy lyrics' comment mate, after the 'band' you have been banging on about for the last month. Yeah admitted.......but the difference is that SP lyrics are classic, and that Speedos song was just naff...sorry. I guess I was a bit short on the Firenote summation, but with sooo much music about if it doesnt grab me from the word go, then its out Im afraid. However I wouldnt describe the 'Firenote' track as excellent???! I may have to have another listen tonight to re-confirm my thoughts. Ho hum.

It really is. The opening riff is sensational and I actually really, really dig this song. Should have made the CD. How can you not love a song that opens, 'Fuck yeah, we fuckin' rock, we love girls that suck our cocks...' These guys are fucking brilliant. backed awesome song.........esp when he screams 'I want to see you naked'.....and that solo kicks in. Haven't you 'grown out' of this lot yet mate! No cos it kicks my arse everytime I listen to it.....more so than any other release this year to be honest.

Last years final was actually much more exciting in terms of play. Roddick is a bit of smashing machine and relies too much on his serve. Have to add tho that Im confused somewhat - I mean, when I used to watch McEnroe at his peak it was even more boring. No rally lasted more than 3 shots on his serve. ie Serve > return (badly) > volley out. That was pretty much it.

I just downloaded 'I Want Your Tits' f excellent.

OK Im lovin these tunes way too much, so I had to download this EP off itunes & it is mighty killer indeed. 1. Daughter Of The Sea - great opening track, hard hitting verses and a good chorus. Real attitude to this song. 2. The Weight Of The World - killer modern hard rock. Production of Fallbrooke, but kicks their arse! Almost a SOTY vibe, very nice (& solo) 3. There Will Be Rain - fuck me this is a killer rocker....easily the best track. Like a cross between SOTY and Anberlin. 4. In The Night - the full song on myspace....& very nice it is too. killer end to a killer EP. I usually hate EPs but these 4 songs are too good to ignore. Cheers
