Just a quick comment on Steel Panther - only really listened to this once but 'Tomorrow Night' is utterly awesome! Excellent hilarious lyrics, a huge riff and great chorus. One of my favourite tracks of the whole year!!

To be perfectly honest, even the Bai Bang songs don't sound that great to me (even putting aside the production - if that were possible). So I'd pass regardless. Mitch Malloy is different, great sounding songs but crap sound... Yeah in comparison to the debut the production is poor - the vocals are a bit buried IMO

2 examples of awesome production in 2011 is Work Of Art and Dynazty (Euro).....both sound awesome and that's even on my shitty car stereo. Bai Bang production is crap......so is Mitch Malloy II......

Their lyrics are not smutty, they're juvenile/teenage-porn nonsense that is funny once and embarrassing afterwards. Reckless Love etc might follow the 80's cheese, but they try and keep it subtle enough so the quality music does the talking. SP don't keep it subtle, and so their (otherwise pretty good) music gets lost in the smutty and mostly pathetic jokes. Sure it's fun on first listen, but they are not a band to be taken seriously as a top-act nor one that makes albums with any longevity at all. A novelty band. 100% backed. Good music ruined by the ridiculous lyrics. Or good music enhanced 100% by awesome lyrics....more like the truth.

White Widdow - Serenade

Yeah it's pretty classic in places. Maybe not quite as good as the debut but as the Cap says, songs like 'Tomorrow Night' are amongst the best stuff I've heard this year - awesome riffage & chorus :-)

Well that's an understatement. I think they should be lucky if Def Leppard doesn't sue them over "Addiction For Love" - TOTAL "Love Bites" rip-off. I really quite dislike this album and just about every song on it. Haven't heard the debut, but this in no way gave me any urge to check it out. Unsure what DL would gain from sueing a band like GD... & if should they persue it, I'd be curios to know their thoughts on Loud Lion among a few other bands. In this day & age, if you listen closely to some of the albums you've bought, you'll find some interesting similarities with past albums of other artists. Someone should sue Def Leppard for being so shite now

Reckless Love Again! Just crammed full of hooks. Excellent album!

I'd replace a few tracks (mainly "Into debauchery" and "Run to your mama") but overall I think this is a pretty good compilation for starters. As with any 'best of' you hardly ever get the ones you want - cant believe they couldnt find a place for Dont Care About Your Bad Behaviour Illegal Fun Innocent Boy Sorry For The Shape Im In What Did I Do They would all feature in my top 15 or so........ Bastards is an awesome inclusion, I love that track. But with no extra tracks new or unreleased I cant really see this selling masses of copies ??

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Roll on.

Debut album which must be the shortest album in history clocking in at just over half an hour (makes Destrophy look like an epic!!)....but the truth is along with this killer ballad there are at least 3 or 4 other utter gems on this, not least the super catchy and EXCELLENT 'I Came Here To Love You'.
