  1. how about the Bus Boys? Not exactly aor, but rock..
  2. THE GODZ-POWER ROCK FROM U.S.A. is a bootleg from the Black Rose label. TRIGGER-TRIGGER was never released on c.d. format The early AXE albums were issued on c.d. If they are original, They're very cheap. It's just my opinion. I've bought from them in the past (Axe and Head East) and they were boots.
  3. I think the best Head East release is the s/t or (street sign album).. I like that one all the way through.. but "Never been any reason" from the flat as a pancake release and "If you knew me better" from the Different kind of crazy release are my fave songs. rickinmd
  4. any Sweet fans out there? I saw them last summer and thought they really rawked!! more info on their web site www.thesweetband.com
  5. Hi, I see both of the AA cd's for sale on ebay. The seller is from Bulgaria (red flag)? I just wondered if you thought they were legit. They are reasonably priced. Rick
  6. Hey guys, i have the remastered edition of Thunder with bonus tracks, bought from ebay from the DuranDuran fan site.i,m at work now so i can't give you the label details.if you need them give me a pm. Dave The Duran Duran Fan Club ones are the ones Backster has mentioned. i remember seeing something about one called "Thunder Eyes'?
  7. my first concert was in 1976: Bachman-Turner Overdrive Kansas Trooper at the Capital Centre in Largo, MD. another show of note: i saw AC/DC when they were just starting out, open for Kiss at the same venue. They only played for 30 minutes, but i was hooked!
  8. it amuses me how people are still digging at this album a year after the joke got old Old or not... It's still a joke nuntheless... And Bob & The Boys are still a bunch of Cuntry boys. i will always quote the great Ray Charles on this one....."Music is Music" i liked it, regardless of style....it still had jons vocals and richies solos i wonder how Jason & the Scorchers fit into this topic. They have rocked many a country cover.. but some might consider them country as well.. I call them cowpunk.. I like them. Lot's of energy!
  9. I heard some new andy taylor stuff a while back. didn't really sound anything like thunder. can't remember the web site though..
  10. WE WANT MORE!! WE WANT MORE!!
  11. Congrats to Pete and the rest of the guys in the band. I hope this is just the first of many great albums to come!! sounds great to me!
  12. oops, forgot the date : May 30, 2009 Yeah... Not far from me either. Not sure If I'll go... only because Rocklahoma will be coming up. Also... Not sold on the venue for this show. PS ~ I'm going to check out Alcatrazz & Seven Witches tomorrow (Saturday) night at Jaxx in Springfield, VA. cool! I've been to Jaxx a few times. not lately though. enjoy the show!
  13. oops, forgot the date : May 30, 2009
  14. Classic Rock Metalfest in Maryland! Info on Melodicrock.com. Dokken, Ratt, Kix just to name a few..Right in my backyard! (30 min. drive). Guess I'll have to skip Firefest and hit this one! Although the bands in Firefest will probably never play in the U.S.
  15. Cool! I've seen them several times over the years. "Somebody like you" is one of my faves! Enjoy!
  16. does anyone have info on a plan to get there from the U.S.? Where you would have to fly into and stay? Would you have to rent a car to get there? I'd love to go, but not real thrilled about going outside the U.S.
  17. I'm looking forward to seeing Billy Squier live this summer.. I heard he is touring..I just hope maybe it's Billy the rocker this time instead of Billy & the blues..Last time i saw him was in Toronto a few years back with Styx and Bad Company and i was disappointed. His web site says he will do songs from his full catalog: from the Piper releases to present. A couple of shows i went to last year were: The Bad Co reunion in Florida Grand Funk, War, The Sweet in Michigan.. I was determined to see The Sweet. even though Steve Priest is the only original member (2 are deceased), they rocked!! didn't get to see much of Grand Funk though.. Romantics, Loverboy, Eddie Money in Atlantic City.. thought Eddie was a little off on this one.. Loverboy (didn't play long enough) and Romantics didn't disappoint though.. Some I'd really like to see: that i've never seen Alias (reunion tour) Haywire (infrequent shows in the Nova Scotia area) Head East (probably won't make it to SD though..) I did go to Vancouver (by the way, I live in MD) a few years ago to see: Harlequin Headpins Prism Kenny Shields & Streetheart Great show! Only problem was because of a curfew, Streetheart only got to play a couple of songs...
  18. I'll bet you got the "invalid number" message because the fuckwad isn't a registered ebay member anymore. yep, you're right!
  19. sounds like this could be the "rockbrazil1970" that i've asked about. some of the same titles and goes by reginald.. coincidence? don't think so..
  20. i've been a supporter of WW for over 10 years. they're the best! Thanks Roger and Cassandra!
  21. cool song..awesome guitar solo! one of my faves! i'm listening to "Jackflash" (cdr).. the ones i saw recently on ebay were kinda pricey. really like the first track and number 10..stuff in the middle didn't do much for me.
  22. i won a couple of cd's from this seller about (6) weeks ago. no cd's as of yet. i got a response from my first email but none from my second. i took a chance on this because it was a great deal (too good) and from Brazil (not that there aren't good folks from there) but it raised red flags to me. Anyway, I'm only out $20 bucks, but i just wanted to let you all know about this seller. I tried to submit a claim and was told it was an "invalid number" (it wasn't, i copied it directly). live and learn.. chalk up another one for "if it's too good a deal, be wary"..
