  1. great news! Thanks!
  2. i used to have their lp's back in the day. I believe there were (3) releases. I became a fan when i heard "I'm Leaving" on the radio. i know they have a song or two on a couople of soundtracks and a best of cd. i thought i read something about some new material. anyone have any info?
  3. Yeah mate that's the band and i love my 70's hard rock so i will check it out. i used to have the lp and it was worth picking up the cd to hear it again after all these years!
  4. Your welcome mate. A bloody good album it is too. i always thought that "Blazin your own trail again" was the best song from that lp that no one has heard..
  5. when i was growing up in the 70's it was BTO and Bad Company that were my faves. I would vote for: BTO-Not Fragile and Bad Co s/t or Run with the pack as a couple of the best discs of that era. honorable mention for Artful Dodger s/t... anyone remember them?
  6. things have been resolved. My apologies to this buyer.
  7. I have settled my dispute with this buyer. It was a misunderstanding on my part. I apoligize for jumping the gun!
  8. i am attempting to settle this dispute with this buyer and will retract my comments if able to do so
  9. sounds good to me! We need to try to protect ourselves against this kind of thing. It seems to be really getting out of hand. After my experience with wolfskin, I'm afraid to sell anything on ebay. If someone just wants to blatantly lie about something, there's not much i can do. It's his word against mine and the buyer seems to have the advantage.
  10. this sounds very similar to the one i am having problems with "wolfskin".. I sent him a sealed cd and he said it wasn't sealed and had stickers on the plastic.. it did have stickers on it.. he doesn't want to return it and filed a complaint with ebay.
  11. the above mentioned buyer's id is "wolfskin" if that helps any...
  12. thanks for the info! No, I usually rely on a photo from ebay and they didn't have one for this title. If i get the cd back, that will be fine.
  13. has anyone dealt with him? He won a cd from me and said it wasn't sealed (when it was) and now he is filing a paypal complaint. The cellophane had a couple of stickers on it that he complained about... Now I'm gonna be out $35 plus the cd.. This is why i rarely sell on ebay. any thoughts?
  14. one night stands was one of my faves back in the day. I really liked "stay here" in particular. Brian Danter has a new release on my space under "Danter". check it out!
  15. i picked this one up on friday and the new material sounds really good! This may be next to Loverboy, the comeback of the year!
  16. This line-up has : Steve Priest (original member) bass Stuart Smith-guitars Richie Onori-drums Stevie Stewart-keyboards Joe Retta-vocals I didn't realize both versions were touring at the same time. I guess Andy's version didn't want to hit the states. I'd be interested to hear how they compare. Rick
  17. I was at this show on 8/28. If you get the chance to see the current Sweet band, you should do it! It's the third time I've seen them on this tour (first two times were in Lansing, MI and Wilkes Barre, Pa) they rock hard and do not disappoint! This show was part of a free concert series on the boardwalk in Santa Cruz, CA. I wasn't sure if the crowd would be familiar with them. They opened up with "Action"and after a couple of hits "Fox on the run" and "Little Willy" the crowd was totally into it! The second set included the hits plus the band stretched out with "Windy City", "Sweet F.A." etc... Great Show and nice to meet the band afterwards for autographs. Saw several folks with Sweet t-shirts after the show. They made a great impression!
  18. sounds like a great show! Too bad it had to be a "family day" show...
  19. i like it.. some of it has a cheap trick vibe, not surprising since bun e carlos is the drummer. saw the video for " that kind of gir" and liked it..didn't like the cd at first but now can't stop playing it. Kind of a slightly modern power pop? What do you think? Rick
  20. I recently saw BS in Atantic City. Great show! He played about 1 hr 45 min and included at least (1) song from all his releases including one from Piper: "Little Miss Intent".. It's great to have Billy back and rockin again! I know the last time i saw him several years ago, he was into the blues thing (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I'm happy to hear he vintage stuff again. I'm going to see the newly re-formed Sweet for the third time in August in California. They must think I'm following them..saw them in Lansing, MI last summer, Wilkes Barre, PA in April and now CA.. They put on a great show and it's good to hear those songs again after all these years... Also will see "The Romantics" on labor day weekend in VA. Always have enjoyed their concerts! Rock On! Rick
  21. two of my faves for 2009 would be: johnny lima-livin' out loud steel panther-feel the steel Rick
