  1. Well, you're entitled to your opinion... no matter how wrong it may be. Seriously though, while it is not the strongest track on the CD, it is by no means "awful" by any stretch of the imagination. -Dan Not if it had been sung by the BACKSTREET BOYS or maybe one of those Idol Winners/Losers (Bo Bice or Adam Lambert maybe), but when you're talking about one of the top names in Melodic Rock then surely they can do better than a standard/mediocre journeyman-type song.... That pop-song sounds really out-of-place alongside killer Melodic Rock tunes like "All For Love" IMO. I guess I just don't get that. Personally, I loved Jaded heart's cover of Backstreet Boys' "Larger Than Life" as well as some of the other pop covers that hard rock and metal bands have done. *shrug*

  3. Being released in Europe. Nothing about a U.S. release. 2-disc and 3-disc versions. http://www.savatage.com/index3.html
  4. After watching the video, I think the Treat version is crunchier. If Treat (or one of its members) didn't originally compose the song, then I would assume it's just a cover. Heck, if Jaded Heart can cover The Backstreet Boys and Children of Bodom can cover Britney Spears, then anything is possible.
  5. Samples posted of all tracks! http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/glam...e=Coup+de+Grace -Dan
  6. Gimme a bit; I'll post samples of all the tracks over on the main site. -Dan
  7. Ok, this album has some REALLY good songs. Example: I'm Not Running (hi-res complete song) Starts off with a bit of a modern vibe, but then takes off bigtime! -Dan
  8. Listening now. Only 3 cuts in so far, but it is EXCELLENT! So far, 2010 is off to a cracking shot with this, Auras, and Wig Wam. -Dan
  9. Jeez. What kind of a moron would have a birthday TODAY? Some people's children...
  10. Just checked out the samples. Ok, but not better than Leverage by ANY stretch of the imagination. Lead vocals can be too shrill and strident at times. -Dan
  11. Just got done listening to the Auras disc all the way through. 12 tracks sure to make Steve Perry fans happy. Better than anticipated, actually. Here's a full length track: http://www.heavyharmonies.com/audio/auras_forgive.mp3
  12. Just got done watching this. Good concert, good audio, good video. This was recorded on the 2008 tour. Say what you will, they still draw one hell of a crowd. This has not been released in the U.S. I got mine from Amazon UK. It's region free, so it will play in U.S. players. Set Listing: Lost Highway Born to Be My Baby Blaze Of Glory It's My Life Keep the Faith Raise Your Hands Living In Sin/Chapel Of Love Always Whole Lot Of Leavin In These Arms I'll Be There For You (You Want To) Make A Memory Blood On Blood Dry County Have A nice Day Who Says You Can't Go Home Hallelujah Wanted Dead Or Alive Livin' On A Prayer You Give Love A Bad Name* Runaway* Bed Of Roses* * Not incorporated into the main concert flow; listed under "Bonus"
  13. ESPN is reporting that Brett Favre has retired and will settle in the Minneapolis area where he will co-own a bakery with teammate Adrian Peterson. Their specialty will be turnovers. However, speculation is that the bakery will close and reopen several times over the next few years.
  14. A teaser for those still on the fence or waiting for the DVD to arrive like I am: DVD sample posted by the label.
  15. Not really news. How many times have Kiss, Harem Scarem, and Thunder quit, unquit, requit, etc.? If they do actually hang it up and stay done, I would have the utmost respect for them. All that said, it will be interested to hear the new album, because their last one was my CD of the Year for 2007. -Dan
  16. A lot of stuff from the mid-late 70s I can get into, as that's where AOR got its' start (Styx, Boston, Journey, Foreigner, etc.). It's early '70s and 1960s material that I just cannot listen to...
  17. Mkay, I guess my original post wasn't worded well. The PAL-converting DVD player is $79, not the DVD. Although, with the crappy exchange rate and the high shipping costs, the DVD ends up in the $30+ range. -Dan
  18. http://www.fanzone.fi/brotherwebstore/prod...834&lang=en Just ordered mine. For those in the U.S., my assumption is that this is in PAL format, not NTSC, so you'll need a region-free DVD player that also does PAL->NTSC conversion. If you need a PAL converting DVD player, I wholeheartedly recommend this one for $79 shipped: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WKTG7...=heavyharmonies 1.Who Will You Run To Now 2.Runaways 3.Wildest Dreams 4.Midnite Queen 5.Game They Call Love 6.One Single Breath 7.Play It From The Heart 8.Chasing The Angels 9.Going Out With A Bang 10.Break Out 11.I’m On Fire 12.Heart Full Of Fire 13.Valerie 14.I Am Rock
  19. After being down for about a month, BrutalMetal.Com is now back up. It now has the same feature set as Heavy Harmonies, and uses the same site login database, so you only need to register at one site or the other to be able to login at both sites. More CDs will be added to the site as well. It's long overdue. If you encounter anything not working properly, please let me know. -Dan
  20. The winter driving rant was nicely awesome.

  22. Is there a full moon or something? We're getting an awful lot of driveby lamebrains today... -Dan
  23. I've posted samples for all the tracks: http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/glam...me=Promise+Land
