  1. Excellent find. Works out to about $17.00 shipped to the U.S. according to the one I put in my cart. Best price by far thus far. -Dan
  2. Not likely anytime soon. $25+ seems to be the going rate. Your best bet is to wait for used copies to appear on eBay, or the inevitable Russian/Asian unlicensed out-of-market copies to pop up.
  3. Just got this from NEH Records ($25.99 shipped though the 15th). Forget the U.S. version. It's as useless as tits on a bull. The U.S. version omits the DVD, which is the real reason to buy this set. The DVD is Live in Japan 1994, 16 tracks, previously only released on VHS. This is the first time it's available on DVD. Ignore the Amazon listing specs, which states that it is PAL region 2. It is PAL, but it is NOT region encoded (the disc says "Region 0" right on it). I popped it into my computer's DVD drive and it played immediately. The 2 CDs of hits are a good cross section of their best, but with at least one HUGE glaring omission. Mozart and Madness, quite possibly one of the greatest instrumentals EVER, deserves to be on this compilation. (Dead Winter Dead is horrendously underrated as a musical work)
  4. No such animal as a "good price" on this one. Exchange rates (at least against the U.S. dollar) suck. It's going to run you at least US$20 under the best of circumstances. I got mine from NEH with the current free U.S. shipping deal, which put it at $19.99. I've not seen it cheaper anywhere else. -Dan
  5. Kissin' Dynamite's debut, Steel of Swabia, was one of my honorable mentions for 2008, but darned if it hasn't garnered more replay than some of the award winners from that year. Not necessarily innovative, but darned well executed and produced. No wonder they're on a major label (EMI). I just got their sophomore release, Addicted to Metal, a few days ago. This picks up right where the debut left off, perhaps just a wee bit heavier. Stylistically, they're a blend of Accept and Edguy, with an occasional classic Judas Priest vibe, but attitude-wise, they're straight '80s glam/hard rock. It's a combination that works well. As with the first CD, this disc has it's share of metal anthems, specifically the title track and the closer "Metal Nation." The over-the-top attitude is right out of Manowar's repertoire, just a lot more fun and sounding a lot better. Two of my favorite tracks from the CD (both full-length 320kbps): 1. Supersonic Killer. Very Edguy in execution with a bit of a Judas Priest vibe. 2. High Enough. You don't see many Damn Yankee covers out there. The underlying guitar riff on the verses is a bit bizarre, but the choruses are very well done! Samples of all songs on the HH page. Front and back CD pics below
  6. Frontiers Records signs MOTLEY CRUE singer VINCE NEIL for the European release of his new solo album. “Tattoos and Tequila” out in Europe on June 4th anticipated by the digital only release of the title track single on April 16th. Napoli, April 2010 – MOTLEY CRUE singer Vince Neil upcoming solo album “Tattoos and Tequila” has been signed by Frontiers Records for release on June 4th in Europe. The album’s title track will be released as a digital download and will be available April 16th in Europe at all digital shops. The music video along with the single was made available for download on www.vinceneil.net earlier this year, but now it can also be seen on the Frontiers Records Youtube channel following this link: Vince Neil recorded the new album in the winter of 2009 together with his band, formed by bassist Dana Strum, guitarist Jeff Blando (both of Slaughter) and drummer Zoltan Chaney. The album will include 2 new songs: “Tattoos and Tequila” and “Another Bad Day” both produced by Marti Frederiksen (Aerosmith, Ozzy Osbourne, Def Leppard etc), plus a selection of classic cuts from some of the Rock giants that have influenced Vince Neil throughout his musical career. The cover songs were produced by Vince and Jack Blades (Damn Yankees, Night Ranger). In a recent interview Vince Neil stated: “This album has nothing to do with Motley Crue, Tattoos and Tequila is basically my life” and definitely the new record shows a new, yet familiar side of Vince’s abilities. “Tattoos and Tequila” tracklisting will include: Tattoos & Tequila (Album Version); He's A Whore (Cheap Trick); AC/DC (Sweet); Nobody's Fault (Aerosmith); Another Bad Day; No Feelings (Sex Pistols); Long Cool Woman (The Hollies); Another Piece Of Meat (The Scorpions); Who Will Stop The Rain (Creedence Clearwater Revival); Viva Las Vegas (Elvis Presley); Bitch Is Back (Elton John); Beer Drinkers and Hell Raisers (ZZ Top)* * Bonus track available on first pressing in digipak VINCE NEIL As frontman for Mötley Crüe, Vince Neil came to exemplify all things rock and roll: the sound, the look, the outrageous lifestyle. Neil’s unmistakable voice leads some of the greatest rock songs of this generation including “Shout At The Devil,” “Home Sweet Home,” “Girls, Girls, Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood,” “Kickstart My Heart,” “Same Ol Situation,” and the recent “Saints of Los Angeles,” which was nominated for a Grammy Award in early 2009 for Best Hard Rock Performance. As a solo artist, Vince’s Top 200 Billboard albums, Exposed (which reached number 13 on the Billboard Albums chart) and Carved In Stone have spurred the hits “You’re Invited (But Your Friend Can’t Come)” (co-written by Neil with Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw), “Can’t Have Your Cake” (co-written by Neil with Steve Stevens) and “Sister Of Pain” (co-written by Neil with Jack Blades and Tommy Shaw). When he is not performing or raising money for charity (the foundation founded as a tribute to Vince’s daughter Skylar whom he lost to cancer in 1995, to date has raised over $2 million to help combat childhood cancer), Neil is also an accomplished businessman overseeing his latest entrepreneurial efforts which include Feelgoods Rock Bar and Grill in West Palm Beach and most recently in Las Vegas; Vince Neil Ink, a Las Vegas based body art shop; Tres Rios tequila and Vince Neil Aviation. 7. Watch this guy's other videos. He's a fucking GENIUS!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVw4-hpp96w&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnFBhAietac&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLkOYHYQ2tc&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cr8KiihK3ks&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=narHqBWkauI&feature=related
  8. Update: This CD continues to completely and utterly dominate. That is all.
  9. That's because the board abbreviates the VISIBLE text that comprises a link, but not the actual link. If you are going to copy an existing link from elsewhere on the board, you can't just copy and paste the visible text; you have to right-click on the link and copy the link location itself and paste it. -Dan
  10. Yeah, surprised the fuck out of me. I'm not sad to see McNabb go, but in the division??? Apparently Reid did it because that's were Donovan wanted to go, as opposed to Buffalo or the Raiders (can't blame mcNabb for not wanting to go there). Fans are NOT happy over on the Eagles board...
  11. Are you guys using the link tool in the editor, or just pasting the link into the message text? I'm doing the latter and it works just fine.
  12. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=370162371666&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT Seems to work for me... what exact behavior are you seeing? -Dan
  13. Interesting to note that, as other people have mentioned, if you didn't know beforehand who you were listening to, it sounds incredibly like current and recent Gotthard. (and that's NOT a bad thing IMO) -Dan
  14. Not 100%. Nothing is 100%. On my personal scale, I would put it in the low-to-mid 90s. Album of the year contender? Definitely. Best album of all time (which is what a 100% should be)? No way. Andrew has gotten more and more top-heavy in his review scoring over the last few years... -Dan
  15. Would you guys knock it the fuck off with the foul language and the Christian references? Jesus Christ, that shit pisses me the hell off! For fuck's sake, there's no need for that shit.
  16. Just got done adding 3.5 hours of new and recent material to the HH radio feed at Live365. Now over 16 hours of material in the rotation. http://www.live365.com/stations/151867?play -Dan
  17. This, new Treat, and new Wig Wam, and 2010 is off to a roaring beginning...
  18. If that decision is the most prudent for your business model, then yes, that is exactly what you should do. If not, then no. I can speak only for myself, but this is a BUSINESS decision, not a PREJUDICE decision. Given the ease with which someone can win a PayPal item-not-received claim, if I cannot insure to a country, I won't ship there. Period. It has nothing to do with whether I like or dislike people there. I too, have had a higher number of lost item claims from Italy, but since I can still insure to Italy without difficulty, I continue to ship there. Has nothing to do with it, at least on my part. I won't ship PayPal-paid goods to Brazil because my insurance company will not insure to that country due to high loss rates. If someone from Brazil wants to buy from me and pay via Western Union Money Transfer or by sending cash by Registered Mail, then I am *MORE* than happy to ship there. If they will only use PayPal, then the only other option I can give them is to pay for Global Express Mail, which is tracked and insured. Registered Mail is useless on international transactions. Ultimately, it's this simple: Given the liability exposure that a seller has due to PayPal's requirements, if I cannot protect myself against loss, theft, or damage, I will not ship to that destination. -Dan
  19. My only (slight) issue with that list is that I have sold CDs to both Chinese and Russian buyers, without incident (so far). I do concede that the postal systems in both countries are sketchy, but I'd be a bit hesitant to block out buyers from those two places completely...Just my 2 cents...Jeff. That list is taken primarily from the list of countries that Shipsurance won't insure to. If I can't get insurance coverage, I don't ship there, as it's a PayPal chargeback just waiting to happen. China is blocked for more pragmatic reasons: While I can insure to China, I found that dealing with Chinese buyers isn't worth the hassle. I had a spate of buyers that spoke not a single lick of English and were trying to communicate through eBay with messages that were nothing but a bunch of Chinese characters. Trying to coordinate payment and shipping details became more trouble than it was worth, especially on combined purchases. My patience ran out and I blocked China.
  20. For giggles, I took a screenshot of Zane's post along with Andrew's reply to save for posterity's sake, since I'm sure that Zane will delete it as soon as he is aware of it.

  22. Pilot Records was the original label that No Rules was released on. No clue if these are original pressings, reissues, or bootlegs.
  23. Zane wanted to set up a merchandise table at MRFest 2, and Andrew understandably said no (there were other vendors who asked and were also turned down, so CD Inzane was not the only vendor). The bands playing the event can set up tables, but not outside/competing merchants. Zane had a hissy fit and started making lame statements about Andrew, MR, and MRFest 2 in his newsletter and on his web site, as well as selling promos that Zane had requested from Andrew to give to artists on his label. Andrew said "enough" and pulled all CD Inzane ads/promos at MR. Zane somehow thinks that what he paid for monthly banner ads at MR somehow constitutes an "investment" in MR. Zane is threatening lawsuit, allying himself with that J.T. Snakeryder loon, and using very juvenile insults (ranting and calling Andrew a faggot, etc.... sound familiar?) on the Noticeboard, as well as lashing out at some of the members there. People who initially were posting defending or recommending CD Inzane as a CD shop have all but disappeared since Zane has shown his true nature. That's it in a nutshell. Hmmm... I think I'll go to one of the largest web sites where my target buyer audience hangs out, and call the owner and the members names. Nice.
  24. Well, I had been giving CD Inzane free pub via a banner ad, as I had recently actually had decent order results from them, but after this fiasco with MR, I've yanked it. No sense supporting supporting someone who is going to be that utterly unprofessional. -Dan
