  1. Well, I had been giving CD Inzane free pub via a banner ad, as I had recently actually had decent order results from them, but after this fiasco with MR, I've yanked it. No sense supporting supporting someone who is going to be that utterly unprofessional. -Dan

  3. Welllll..... the press release comes from tribunalrecords@aol.com and the masthead says "Tribunal Records News & Tour Dates". That MIGHT lead someone to believe it comes from oh, maybe Tribunal Records. -Dan
  4. CASANOVA's 20th ANNIVERSARY - DEBUT REISSUE IN APRIL Though CASANOVA may not have become a household name in the 90’s hard rock scene it wasn’t for a lack of great songs and drive to succeed. Their roots began in such classic and esteemed German hard rock/heavy metal bands such as Mad Max and Warlock. Formed in 1990 when Warlock super-producer, Henry Staroste, brought Michael Voss and Michael Eurich together to craft the debut album, Casanova, that took the hard rock world by storm. Well, the hard rock world outside of the USA that is. Touring Europe in support of the album, which eventually sold 170,000 copies, only helped to establish and strengthen their rapidly increasing fanbase. A devout fanbase that remains by their side, even now, 20 years later. Casanova has been out of print for years and was never actually released in the United States until now. With supplies diminishing over the years, the price of obtaining an original copy of Casanova has skyrocketed to prices exceeding the $100 mark. So with it being the band’s 20th anniversary we are extremely excited to present a new deluxe edition of the album which includes not only remastered audio, but seven (7) bonus tracks. This updated release of Casanova is the ultimate edition and more importantly a celebration of the classic hard rock sounds of CASANOVA! 5. Much better. Technical glitches obviously fixed.
  6. Speaking of Heir Apparent, one of the coolest cover songs EVER: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQQwd1XFBF4
  7. The low-fi option was disabled in the upgrade process. I've gone in and re-enabled it. You should now see a dropdown list at the bottom left of every page that will allow you to switch back and forth between the two skins. -Dan
  8. Samples of all the tracks are on the main site: http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/glamcd.cgi?BandNum=5231&CDName=New+Generation
  9. Can you post a screenshot of the "jumbled mess"? Thanks, -Dan

  11. Yep. As I work with it though, I think I like it. It's a bit more polished, some of the functions seem to run faster, the embedded media is a win, and I love the alternating nested quote colors - that really enhances readability.
  12. Not sure if anyone has noticed this over on the main the site, but the band pages and CD pages now feature links to share that specific band or CD via Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Digg, and a zillion other social networking services (some of which I'd never even heard of). So if you have particular bands or CDs you love, share 'em with everyone you know... or don't know... -Dan
  13. Read my reply a few posts up. It's at the bottom of the front page of the board. I'm going to try to figure out how to add that link at the top of every page, but for now, just bookmark that link. There's also the "View New Content" link at the top right of every page, but that's slightly different. It's the newest posts since your last visit. It gets reset every time you leave and come back. -Dan
  14. Mine was waiting for me when I got home from my trip today. Silver pressed as expected. -Dan
  15. I think the biggest difference will be that things are in different places than they were before. For example, what was the "View New Topics" link at the top (which is what I bookmark) is now the "Today's active content" link at the bottom of the home page. I'm going to try and figure out how to add that link to the top of every page like it was before. On the upside though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ysSxxIqKNN0
  16. Yeah, I hate change too, but in theory this version of the board has some additional features to it; also as long as I was transitioning from leasing a board license to purchasing a permanent license, it made sense to purchase the most current version. We'll get there from here. Things may just appear and behave a bit "odd" until everyone gets used to the new version, myself included. -Dan
  17. So it looks like we're back up and running. I'm still out of town at a conference, so I've had no time to do any tweaking, testing, or reconfiguring. The look is vastly different; as time permits, I'll be looking at customizing things over the next few weeks. If you run into things that don't work properly, or if you discover new features that we didn't have with the old forum software, please share. -Dan
  18. Ok, I'm still not sure on the exact timing or length of the downtime, but I do know a bit more information: 1. The board URL will NOT change, so no changing of bookmarks/links needed. 2. The board will upgrade to version 3.x, which is a complete overhaul of the look and functionality. This may be a little bumpy. 3. The good news is that things like embedded Youtube videos and other media files will be possible. So please bear with me as we may experience some technical diffi..... *BZZT*
  19. Hopefully hours. Might be days. Better not be weeks. -Dan
  20. Not sure when or for how long, but the board is most likely moving to either a new host or a new server with the same host. When that happens, current bookmarks will likely break, and you'll have to relink from the main HH site. -Dan
  21. ??? I never said the sound quality might be reduced, just the manufacturing quality. The ones I've seen in the last 1-2 years have gotten considerably better than 8-10 years ago. Some of the older discs were wafer-thin and the bottoms of the discs were cloudy. Only time will tell how these hold up over the long haul, comparatively speaking. Anyone else remember how you used to be able to feel a tangible difference between Japanese discs of the 1980s and 1990s versus their U.S. and U.K. counterparts? The Japanese discs were thicker, heavier, and made of a higher grade material. Back then it felt like you were buying something superior. -Dan
