All I Know pre-sales this week. I have the master - it sounds great...the artwork is done (with a new band logo for the cover)...and it will be released october 29. Same date as another release which I will announce any day now (was hopin to do today...but alas)...this other new title is (I think) a kick ass release from a Swedish band making their debut and sounds like Eclipse, but with a twist. Loving it News asap.... Then there is one more release to announce for 2010...a little heavier this time around and might also announce this later in the week. Still trying to get hold of Andy at Angelmilk Records to see if I can take over the release of the titles I signed while with that label, as clearly nothing is happening on that end.

NOT new Slamer album, but will be released as Terry Brock solo album (hence the slight change in style and the heavier angle). But same line up as the debut "Slamer".

Alias is an acoustic set as part of the VIP only package. So I'm guessing it's Freddy singing and possibly Freddy playing guitar as well. Freddy's flying in from LA and Steve DeMarchi is coming in from Toronto. And they might bring a 3rd guy to round out the sound. 30 minute set.

I'm amazed....no STUNNED....that anyone loving this music could describe WET as generic. Fuck me! Don't mind if someone doesn't buy into it or whatever....but generic it isn't. Influenced completely by the genre it represents yes, but fresh, punchy, heavier than expected and sparckling performances. Love it to death. New Mastedon is quite amazing also. Blanc Faces a little safe, but very very "nice"... and Leverage is kicking my ass currently.

I keep hearing Ken Tamplin is the singer but it cant be, can it? I was soo hoping Mark Spiro would be singer seeing as he's voice is on those very early demos Giant did. Yeah Spiro would be a great choice. Tamplin would not. I'm also of the belief that without Dan Huff there is no real Giant, but I will still listen with great interest and totally agree with Tim. Tamplin in Giant would be a f*cking disaster - totally would not work. Spiro, however, could actually work quite well. His solo career's taken a bit of a dive (is it over?) but he still has the ability to shine and could again in Giant, I hope. As long as he'd realise it's Giant and not his recent overly mellow solo stuff. Not Spiro (well and truly MIA). Not Tamplin.

Now way will there be a Signal re-union. Been there, tried that already. Long story, but it won't happen.

Old demo...one of many!

From reading an interview with her/him, the album that was released under the name Marcie Free, Tormented, was older stuff, much the same as his debut solo album, but she/he also stated that she/he never had anything done to his/her vocal chords, meaning it should be the old Mark Free voice. She/He did state though that they would need to go through some excercise to get the stamina back for singing, as they have been pretty much unused since the op. There have been NO albums/songs released since Mark became Marcie, however I have heard her sing recently (she is still working a little but no actual releases) and it's the same old classic Mark Free voice - in fine form The Marcie Free record Tormented was unreleased/remixed songs from before the change.

I agree completely. Just magic.... I was at one stage talking to the original line up of Signal (without Marcie) teaming up with Eric Martin for a classic AOR album. Just another idea for Angelmilk that won't ever get anywhere
