Their last couple of releases have been a return to form for me. . I dare say it will stick to the usual Magnum formula, but looking forward non-the-less

New album is out for a week and no comments ?? Strangly I was disapponted after first listen, maybe not good to listen to it over headphones. More playing caused songs to grow a lot as I still need more time for it. It is different album than excellent The Serpent Rings. It is less epic, less different arrangments. But it has shorter, more to the point songs with several good or great choruses and BOb sounds great,  less raspy as few albums back. It is doing great in big German market as it is at #5 in general album chart there. It is #51 in UK.

I strongly dislike what's become of this band, to be honest. I keep giving the new albums a crack in case they would do something closer to the period I enjoyed from the band, but they're light years from that, which is cool it was only a small phase in their career. I think the album's horrid, to be honest, but that's about on par these days. Like Ten, but possibly worse - but more well produced.
