That 80s electronic drum sound

This might sound weird but I really enjoy that early electronic drumkit sound that often gets described as "dated". I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions of rock albums I might like that have that sound? Like this for instance:

I didn't listen to your song but when I think of drum machine I think of the song All I Need Is A Miracle by Mike & The Mecha nics.

I fucking love those old Roland and Simmons early 80's synth drums, the octagon head simmons kit on all those old New Wave early 80s shit, like Big Country, Genesis got into them heavy, as NY said Mike &TM, Prince used them, Talking Heads, the greatest synth sounding kit in the history of recording was Tony Thompson on that first Power Station disc, and guess what, they were acoustic, not a synth used on that album, they are just compressed to fuck then gated to the point it started to alter the pop, plus the ferocity Tony smashed them equaled out to imo the single coolest drum sound on any album ever, ya know all those Hi-Tech bands used electro drums, just about everyone of them, yeah im way into that shit, I have a replica program on my Roland interface and it is an exact replica of the Simmons SDX, you cant even tell a difference.

You know I just read an interview where Dave Grohl said he used to rip Tony Thompson off all the time when he drummed for Nirvana and he considers him the best drummer. I have (and like) both the Power Station albums. Yep Genesis in the 80s, Mike and the Mechanics, I can't get enough of that drum sound. Glad I'm not the only weirdo!
