Grey
How well can you recognize a song by its non-musical intro? Give it a shot. Post your answers. Most of these come from a similar quiz I had on my website (now offline) many years ago. I added a few more to include bands that are frequently discussed around here. I have over 30, but I'll start with 8 (the forum limit for a single post). If no one guesses any, I'll post hints. If this goes well, I'll post more. 1 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/101.mp3 2 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/102.mp3 3 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/103.mp3 4 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/104.mp3 5 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/105.mp3 6 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/106.mp3 7 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/107.mp3 8 http://www.fileden.com/files/2008/10/14/2142802/108.mp3

Grey
only know/or think I know number3? can I say who I think it is? Sure. Although only 11 people have viewed this thread, I thought more people would have taken a shot at this. Most of these are songs we've all heard before. Thanks JE...I admit here (though I've admitted in other threads) that Duran Duran was my first "favorite" band so I would have been a bit disappointed in myself had that not come to me. Yeah, other ones, I am not figuring them out. Good thread Grey.

A quick search shows that you posted in the thread discussing the album. I would never have come up with Coldspell. I liked a few songs from their debut, but wasn't hugely keen on what I heard from the follow-up. I'll have a listen to this one again though, as I like the intro. Nice quiz. When do we get Part Two?
