Jeff
Tried a search and didn't see any postings here. I'll be checking this one out. From Street Symphonies Underground Records The cd pays tribute to singer David Hellman (a.k.a. Dave Lepard), who committed suicide in January 2006 at the age of 25. heaven&hell
I've read about this a few times over on Blabbermouth but even though I love Crashdiet I don't know if I'd need a tribute album.
Geoff
Yeah, kind of silly if you ask me. All the songs were only recorded for the first time a few years ago and are fine as they are. I admit it's a very good band line-up and I'm kind of curious to hear them, but just as happy to stick with the originals. Maybe one day I'll hear it... Jeff
I agree it is a little early for a tribute maybe and for sure the songs are fine as they are...as are most songs that are covered. For me, I want to hear the different styles applied by these bands. For example I'll be interested to see how Peep Show applies their slightly harder, darker side to Breakin' The Chainz. Not a must have by any means for most people but one I will be interested in.

heaven&hell
Anyone pick this up yet?
glam_junkie
Yeah, i picked this up. Some good stuff on here and some avge stuff on here. All tracks (except 1 from memory) are recorded exactly the same as the originals. Think it is limited to 250-300.

What would have been cool if bigger bands would have covered these songs. I'd love to hear Motley, RATT, Vain, Roxx Gang, Pretty Boy Floyd, LA Guns and other older Sleaze bands do these tunes and hear what they would do. Of course this is only a dream scenario since those bands don't know who Crashdiet is but hey it would be fun.
