If you sift through most of the modern junk on this disc, you will find at least 2 very melodic rock songs, Long Way Down, and Naked, with the possibility of a couple more, they sound as though they could be a very interesting melodic rock band, this album just happened to come out at that crossroads when they werent doing the post punk thing anymore, and hadnt decided to go alternative, so what you got was an album full of different genres of music, the ones of which melodic rockers sound very very good. Thats What I Think!

Yeah, they're not alternative at all. Just a very good melodic band. Their slower paced stuff is the best though.

Excellent band, great disc. 'Long way down', 'Name', 'Eyes wide open' and 'Ain't That Unusual' are all excellent commercial rock songs. Of the rest there is plenty of pretty cool stuff.
