Jez
Forgot to add The Kix discs. Have had these on my wants list for ages, but never got around to getting them. I managed to snag the entire back catologue (6 studio discs - not the live) for the princely sum of £20. Dave and Nick will be proud of me!! I have a Blind Guardian disc and the singer's voice annoys the crap out of me, so you might want to keep that one in the back of your list to get IMO. I have about 4 Blind Guardian discs and I looooove Hansi Kurch's voice. I also have both cds he did with Jon Schaffer from Iced Earth, Demons & Wizards. I'll admit his voice is an acquired taste I guess but whatever reason I love it.
Fat Freddy
I've had several Blind Guardian CDs over the years, but the only disc that I've bothered to keep was SOMEWHERE FAR BEYOND (1992)... their recent stuff has been a little too "foo-foo" for me... I guess I've kinda gotten sick of the whole overblown symphonic/classical thing in power metal. I prefer more meat-and-potatoes kinda stuff... At this point I greatly prefer Hansi Kursch in Demons & Wizards

At this point I greatly prefer Hansi Kursch in Demons & Wizards I felt like on some of the songs on A Twist in the Myth they returned to or at least came close to returning to an older BG sound, well at least closer than they did on the previous two albums. We've had this discussion before about Demons and Wizards, but I loooove the debut but the follow up wasn't near as good for me even though I do like it. I love that song, even though it makes me cry... and I'm being dead serious. That's a long story that I dont' want to get into right now though. I don't know what your reasons are, and I'm never gonna ask you to tell me, but that is a very emotional song that just kills me everytime I hear it and it's done that to me since the first time I heard it. Hansi just owns on that song.

I want to get "Strangers in the Night" eventually. Unfortuantely UFO cds aren't that easy to find over here. Usually the only ones I ever see is a some cheap looking ten track best of. The one I got just came out and has 18 tunes on it and good history in the booklet wrote by Geoff Barton. I have a copy of their last one "The Monkey Puzzle" which is a solid album, but I've read that the one before "You are Here" is much better. "Rock Botton", "Love to Love", "Natural Thing", "Too Hot to Handle", "Only you can Rock Me", "Doctor Doctor" and "Lights Out". Out of the songs that are new to me after the first spin I really like "We Belong to the Night", "When it's time to Rock", and "Lonely Heart".
