I saw these guys open for Daughtry at SunFest in West Palm Beach, FL tonight. They just kicked ass. Awesome modern rock. Here's their MySpace page:

'Tired of you' is stunning... even if it is basically a re-recording of Hoobastank's 'The Reason'. But much better. :) The rest of the disc would suit Backyard Babies, Hardcore Superstar and New American Shame fans.

David has left The Exies but aside from Disturbance he was also in Black Cherry and Shame. The singer, Scott, was in The Bang Gang.

Pretty solid band but a bunch of motherfucking whiny ass crybaby divas!

Okay, so the whiny ass crybabies have done something I can fully get behind ...

From their MySpace page:

>> The petition

For as long as she has been in the public spotlight, Paris Hilton has knowingly and willingly broken the law, and her actions have gotten more and more brazen over the last few years. Her actions indicate that she feels the law doesn't apply to her as she has repeatedly flaunted the law in full view of witnesses, often paparazzi and camera crews.

A few of the many examples:

In June of 2006, she knowingly backed into a parked car and then sped away, in full view of the paparazzi. This is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 6 months in jail. Paris was never charged.

In September of 2006 she was arrested for driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher. In January, Hilton pleaded no contest to those charges and was sentenced to 36 months probation, her drivers license was suspended and she was ordered to enroll in an alcohol education program within 21 days. She never enrolled in the program and she was photographed driving her Bentley convertible just two days later.

Just one month later (on February 27), she was pulled over by Los Angeles County Sheriffs deputies at 10:30 at night for driving 70 miles per hour, without her headlights on, down Sunset Boulevard, which is a 35 miles per hour zone.

In March 2007, the Los Angeles City's Attorney's Office filed a motion citing Hilton for violating the terms of her DUI probation, asking for 45 days in jail, even though the law allowed Paris to be sentenced to 90 days in jail. Hilton violated at least three conditions of her probation; driving at 70 mph without her headlights on in a 35 mph zone, driving with a suspended license, and failing to enroll in the court-ordered alcohol education program.

This petition asks Governor Schwarzenegger to ignore other petitions asking for clemency and show the people of California that no one is above the law. This petition asks that Governor Schwarzenegger do everything in his power to ensure that Paris Hilton serve her full 45 day sentence. <<

So have all you fans tracked down the new album, 'A Modern Way of Living with the Truth'?

Just listening to it now. The first few tracks are all okay, but not much better. 'Different than you' is very nice.

'Stray' is another gem and 'Better now' is also cool. They have a really cool hard rock sound going on here, with a killer production job which helps them out a lot.

Anyone who likes their first 2 albums and other bands like Fuel and the slower side of modern hard rock should check it out. Certainly not for everyone (not even really me, to be honest), but a good solid heavy rock CD.

But they definitely deliver on 'Once in a Lifetime'.

I picked up one of their discs for a dollar $1. Not too bad, a little bland IMO.

They definitely don't have the flare of HCSS, New American Shame or Backyard Babies (as compared to above) but they were solid. A bit to modern and clean sounding for me, but a good listen.

    • As an elitist my first, second and third reaction was a resounding no.   But then after a little self reflection and attesting that I don't have to have a hard drive of beeps, bits and squeals made it OK.   As mentioned clearly noting the format is key.   I believe we have some "Band Made CDR's" onsite as well, but as stated those are official releases and no other format.   While we are going down the rabbit whole, why not include cassette's? Maybe even vinyl? But the caveat would be that the release fits the parameters of the site and no other format exists, cuz at the end of the day its getting the cool bands seen and known to the elite crowd that resides herein.
    • And while Young & Fabulous does the most excellent TPOH inspired 1980's glam fused rock n roll, the Upper Crust go old old old school and take it back to the 1880's, Once More Into the Breeches, baby. Both band are far to witty with not only their tongues but yours and your girlfriends jabbed into their cheek
    • You're either into that sort of thing or you aren't... I've been into gaming since Doom released in 1993...actually I even gamed before that on bulletin boards before the internet really got going....
    • Washington State has a boatload of glam bands for glamier than the likes of Heart, no disputing MLB, cuz Landrew the love god is well god. Teachers Pett Rail Gibby Lixx Show N Tell Perennial War Babies TKO Bang Gang Talks Cheap Tramp Alley Alice N Chains (pre Facelift) Diamond Lie Lipstick Aurora Bathtub Gin Whiskey Fixx Masheen Heck even the new (er) Prophets of Addiction ...to name a few, plenty more.

    • That tis funny, and I would watch you pillage for hours but I can't play them type of games, maybe its the motor skills, shrug?
    • Sounds like a brilliant marketing campaign "Who needs lawsuits, when you got Slurpees!"   I for one am glad that particular story had an uplifting and not tragic end, minus the profiling of course.   I tell you its addictive, especially if you get some like minded folks talking about this evolution or this mythical or or or. Fortunately my son still buys too many Pokemon cards and we play the actual card game regularly, that my friends is the best thing ever, when it comes to being a parent, sharing something special with your kids.
    • It's coming out in February 2022 so your prediction might be a bit off
