  1. OMG.................how cute are you!!??!!??!! LOOOOOOOVE the song "She Loves"!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I finally got that decoded...
  2. Heavy Harmonies Radio! I might never play another cd again when I'm at the computer.
  3. I commented on this in another thread. But it is soooo true that I have to move it here... Shoot, it's very simple to determine sleaze vs glam. If their were no members in the band with blond hair and everyones hair was black then they were sleaze. If there were 2 or more members with blond hair they were glam. If only one member of the band had blond hair they were a sleaze/glam band. If any of the members had a hair color other than black or blond then they had some AOR influences. If more than one guy in the band had curly hair then they were pure AOR. The question of hair color vs color of their roots was brought up and that does indeed take you into the sub genres which I will not get into today. In addition, you'll know it's prog if the guy sings like a eunuch at an opera. But occasionally that might not be the case. And hard rock makes up whatever is left, unless it doesn't. Also, if the guys are wearing cowboy hats then it's country. But (and this is important) if only one guy is wearing a cowboy hat it's either Mandy Lion or the Village People depending on if the other band members have on hats (but not cowboy hats) or not. It's Friday! everyone have a GREAT weekend!
  4. Just watched the video--that was freakin' awesome! And I've heard that song before but can't figure out where.
  5. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........that's MY absolute favorite KD song!!!!!!! LOL.......even Bubba really gets going on the "oh ah ohhhhh's" at the end!!! WAS spinnin' here.....Heaven ~ Where Angels Fear To Tread........ But now I think I need to do some "Driftin' Back" myself.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sometimes I just shake my head in disbelief when I hear songs like Driftin' Back or Deosn't Matter that should have done something on the charts and didn't. It's too bad. Some bands just were never meant to hit the big time no matter how hard they try. Anyhoo, back on topic now playing The Firm - Mean Business
  6. A few others I would add: Little Angels - Don't Prey For Me (great disc) Blue Tears - S/T Hericane Alice - Tear The House Down Noisy Mama - Everybody Has One Disturbance - We Come Out At Night Cry Wolf - Crunch All of the above were picked up for between .50 and $4.00 each
  7. Killer Dwarfs - Method To The Madness. Although it's my least fav KD album it seems to make it's way into the car quite often. Love the song "Driftin Back".
  8. Sword - Sweet Dreams is a great album. I bought that back when their video for "Trouble Is" was being shown on Headbangers Ball. A tad heavy and dark but I like it. I think they were from Canada if I'm not mistaken.
  9. Today picked up: Bangkok Shock - Arrested For Success (this is much better than their album "Back On The Streets" - very Faster Pussycat sounding). Kiss - Destroyer (Remastered) and the wife is gonna be mad because I bought more music.
  10. Poison - Crack A Smile (and more) - I had a dream last night that I was listening to this so I figured why not. On deck is AdrianGale - Crunch
  11. I'm curious about how the Nelson - Imaginator album sounds. I've bid on it a couple times on eBay with no luck. Never tried seriously to get it because I didn't want to shell out a lot of money in case it sucked. If you could let me know your thoughts on it that would be great Jay. whoa, new smileys.
  12. I'm looking forward to getting the Astral Doors album. Just waiting until October <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do they have a new CD coming out in October Blue? If they do I can't wait until then either because it kicks ass! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nope, thats when the wife will let me get "Of The Son And The Father". She's cut me off from buying music for a while so I get to make a list and wait for my birthday in Oct. But I've heard snippets of this album and it sounds awesome.
  13. I'm looking forward to getting the Astral Doors album. Just waiting until October
  14. Feeling a little on the mellow side today so it's: Tom Petty - Full Moon Fever
  15. Well I searched for "obi strip" and came across a site full of nude photos of Obi-Wan Kenobe! j/k Here's the best definition I've found, but no actual definition of OBI-- What is an obi strip? It’s the paper strip that is usually tied around the left side of the album cover. The purpose of the obi strip is to translate the title into Japanese and provide useful information for the consumer. There are few exceptions in which companies such as CBS Sony issued albums sealed in shrink wrap and instead of the traditional obi strip used stickers. The effect on the value can be determined whether the obi is still intact. The older and the less successful titles typically would be more rare and hard to find with the obi. Artists like the Beatles and Elvis were big sellers in Japan which will make the press count larger, therefore you have a better luck in finding some of their titles. However, not all titles by these artists were popular which will put them in the hard to find category.

  17. Oh Hell Yeah that was a great find! Blue <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks, now if I could just stumble across an original Cleavage - The Demo for the same price...
  18. Today I picked up: Motley Crue - Theatre Of Pain (Remaster on Motley Records) and a nice little prize for $4.00 in a thrift store: Kinki Stunt MJ--I would never have even had a clue who these guys were if you hadn't sent a copy to me--THANK YOU!!
