  1. There are a ton of Michael Stanley Band cd's for $3 a piece at one of the local pawn shops but I never bought any due to not knowing who they are. I'm going to pick this one up today to hear how they sound.
  2. Hey, no problem! We need to start making this an event. We'll make a map of the area and hit each place every so often (at least Pittsburgh, Akron, and Cleveland.) Good day one and all! So you guys didn't have any problems with both finding a cd you both wanted at the same time did ya? I'm can just see 2 guys in a fist fight in some hole in the wall music store over a mutually discovered hidden gem
  3. Trouble Tribe--S/T Got this in the mail yesterday--it's a lot better than I remember it being but still pretty run of the mill for the time it was released.
  4. Joe Perry Project - I've Got The Rock 'n' Rolls Again
  5. I just picked up Heart S/T Original Master Recording. I don't know what makes these so special but the music store was asking $16.99 used for it and it had been sitting there for probably close to a year now so I asked the guy why it was so much. He had no idea so he sold it to me for $5.99. Also bought Trouble Tribe S/T--used to have it on cassette a long time ago and I think I liked it. Guess I'll find out shortly.
  6. Nelson--Because They Can It's not too bad, just call me Mellow Yellow Oh, and this may be a stupid question but is the song Won't Walk Away a remake? It sounds like it could be a Rick Springfield tune.
  7. Aldo Nova - Aldo Nova I don't know why I never got this sooner. Great stuff!
  8. Good to see you got things squared away! Sometimes a little miscommunication can lead to a lot of headaches.
  9. The entire boot camp part of that film is awesome with tons of one liners. I never get tired of seeing that drill sergeant go to town on everyone. My dad was in the Marines from '63-'65 and said there was one sergeant who could have been that guy, but all the rest were pretty decent.
  10. Policeman: "What's in the car?" Turkish: "Seats and a steering wheel." Snatch Tia's Boyfriend:"Ever hear of a tune-up?" [Giggling] Buck:[Giggling] "You ever hear of a ritual killing?" [Giggling] Uncle Buck
  11. Got some nice ones this weekend: (these were all new) Nitro--II H.W.D.W.S. U.D.O.--Animal House U.D.O.--Faceless World TNT--My Religion Tesla--Into The Now (these were all between $2 and $5 each) Hericane Alice--Tear The House Down Galactic Cowboys--Space In Your Face Nelson--Because They Can Aldo Nova--Aldo Nova Ugly Kid Joe--Menace To Sobriety The Joe Perry Project--Let The Music Do The Talking The Joe Perry Project--I've Got The Rock 'N' Rolls Again Brother Cane--Brother Cane
  12. Just amazing. It will be contaminated for 48,000 years. Might "possibly" be able to inhabit the area in 300-600 years. It would almost seem crazy if it wasn't true.
  13. Hericane Alice - Tear The House Down (I have played "Dream Girl" about 8 times today...great song!) btw, anyone know where the band came up with the name Hericane Alice? is it a regional knock-off of the word "hurricane" or what?
  14. Bangalore Choir - On Target Was kind of cold to it when I first heard it but it just gets better every spin.
  15. The Storm-S/T. Needed something mellow for a Sunday night.
  16. Very true--the extra songs included are great so it does take away a lot of the initial sting over the sound and packaging.
  17. picked up W.A.S.P. - Inside The Electric Circus/The Headless Children double disc set. I only wanted Headless Children but they didn't have it in stock and against my better judgement I bought it. It's put out by Sanctuary and I'm a little disappointed with it. First off the sound on the discs are awful. I don't know what they did to transfer it from the original recordings but it's pretty muddy. Secondly I was expecting a nice history in the Liner notes about the two albums and some artwork or pics. There are no pics and I think the notes were written by a 12 year old. Very uninformative and boring. And the word "whilst" keeps appearing. whilst?? Oh well it has all the bonus tracks and everything so I probably shouldn't complain...but whilst? Also got the XYZ s/t reissue. Wow--those guys at Axe Killer really know what they are doing! Wonderful sound - 5 stars!
  18. Sorry MJ I see your point, I don't feel like looking at a bunch of shirtless pretty boys in leather pants. No more pics from me . The funny thing is back in the day my friends and I had all the band pics from the rock mags with the guys wearing just that all over our walls. And it was considered cool! No wonder my poor dad was always looking at me funny! Hardline - Double Eclipse
  19. Now playing Ace Frehley - Trouble Walking w/Helix - Back for Another Taste on deck.
  20. Today I picked up: Accept - Balls to the Wall remastered Alice Cooper - Special Forces Also bought XYZ S/T Axe Killer reissue NEW on Ebay last Sunday for $10 and am still waiting for it. If it's sent media mail I'm in for a long one because those take almost a month to arrive in my neck of the sand.
  21. I wasn't a big fan of that one at first but it really grew on me and now it's one of my favs. Listening to Warrant--D.R.F.S.R. (yeah thats right...I'll admit it!! )
