  1. what do these guys have to do with BB Steal anyway?

I have to be honest. I didn't have the BB Steal CD beside me last night when I was looking at this site, but I was looking at the personnel of the band and I couldn't think of one name there that had a link to BB Steal. Have I also missed something?

Clearly you've missed someting G, apart from the fact both bands hail from Adelaide :beerbang:

So who from the band was in BB Steal?

Apparently "Louis Saez-Sanchez" was in BB Steal on bass in about 1995

I think his time with the band included a u.s tour otherwise he would have joined just after they returned.

BB Steal did a US tour in the mid 90s???

there could also be a european tour in 2008

i don't know personally , but i was reading it somewhere on one of the links posted early in this thread.

someone from the bands was in one of the incarnations of bb steal at some stage.

  3. The board is completely dead today. I guess it's a good thing because my bosses are everywhere and I can only have a look every now and then... but even with that in mind there's nothing going on here.

    Is it because Sambora86 left?

Or is it because I'm still here?

    Did he really leave?

i think he just got sent to his room

  4. The two on the left look like they might rock but the two on the right appear to be on their way to a Fall Out Boy show.

They've changed their image a bit since this shot was taken.

2 off them look 100% rock/metal, 1 of them looks 50% rock and 50% punk, and one looks total punk.

I guess that describes their sounds also, part rock/metal, part punk and part modern hard rock.

  5. All my downstairs sockets have fucked up for some reason, and I can't get an errection out until Saturday. At least I have a fucking TV upstairs and my iPod. Fuck it, I am not fucking happy.

When Geoff had a problem with his downstairs socket he just took some viagra and everything was fixed in a few minutes.

  6. I had a dream last night that i went CD hunting and found this cool shop... rummaging through the music i found a rare BB Steal cd single... so rare it doesnt actually exist, but hey it does in my head.... i then put the pile of records i was flipping through back in the muddy stream that flowed through so conveniently through the store...

Can i add this cd to the what cd's did you buy this week thread?

I think i've been to that cd store.

  7. Crazy Lixx - Silent Majority

Very melodic compared to the stuff I usually listen too, but pure 80's hair metal. Absolutely brilliant. I can see how this appeals to every one from you local sleaze merchant thru to your aor purist.

I was trying to think of a good comparison and.... Geoff, would I be far off saying 'Teargas'? Okay, it's more polished and a bigger sound, but the closest I can come to a comparison if Teargas 'Crazy' ep.

I guess in portions there is a slight Teargas feel to it, on the more melodic tracks obviously. I'm still waiting for my copy to finally arrive. :(

I haven't heard the Teargas and to be honest have never heard of them before but I do like the Crazy Lixx stuff especially the more Sleazy stuff.

Teargas have a sound similar to the melodic side of Crazy Lixx - not really a sleazy sound.

Dig up the Teargas EP 'Crazy'. However, if you see Teargas 'Dark Obsession'... this is completely different.

They always stuck me as similar sound to early Danger Danger. Big choruses like on the 'screw it' album, althouhg a little bit heavier.

  9. Hell n Diesel - Passion For Power

One of the discs I've been after since mid last year, and some great gritty, dirty scandi rock. Not as glam oriented as a lot of the other scandi acts hitting it big at the moment, but 100% sleaze fueled rock.

Combine Corabi era Motley, with Sebastian Bach solo material, and add equal measures of Backyard Babies and Airbourne and you get Hell n Diesel.

  10. Enuff Znuff - I just dont remember the songs.

That's almost my exact thoughts on these guys. When listening they're pretty good albums, but once I put it away there's not anything calling me back to have another listen.

I actually have quite a soft spot for 'Tweaked'. Not one I usually see on peoples favourites list, but i like this one.
