  1. Got this a week ago: Rat Knuckles - S/T(?) in cardboard slip but STILL SEALED AND FREE! My fourth of this kind
  2. Just got from the mail: BRANDY LIES: Firewater (SEALED AND FREE!!!!) Third time that this has ever happened to me!
  3. Bounce The Ocean - S/T $2.99 Slick Lilly - Rituals $2.99 Both in Mint condition but I'm not that happy with the music
  4. How could I pick anything else if KIX's Hot Wire and THUNDER's Backstreet Symphony are on the list? TESLA's Psychotic Supper and DD's retardate Screw It! were also great, but to choose anything aside from Backstreet Symphony as the best of '91? I don't think so.
  5. Just went to the post office and on my way back, I got side tracked by the numerous yard sale. One has this cool collection of Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Ugly Kid Joe and several alternative CDs. Since my cash is short, I just picked up one for a dollar: CONTRABAND - S/T And from the mail: DEATH IN TEXAS - S/T (indie from Minneapolis, MN)
  6. !@%# I WAS!!!! I JUST FORGOT THE TIME!!!! Anyway... Shark Islands - Law of the Order (MINT all throughout) $2 Dangerous Toys - S/T (MINT all throughout) $2 Restless Souls - S/T (SEALED) DIDN'T COST ME ANY CASH!!! (does anyone has this? there's still no comment/review for this album)
  7. This is probably my dream band: Jimmy Page - guitar Robert Plant - vocals John Paul Jones - bass John Bonham - drums
  8. One very enjoyable CD that you forgot, whiplash, was The (London) Quireboys - A Bit Of What You Fancy. But from the list... wow, can't decide! Probably go with Extreme's Pornographitti, Warrant's Cherry Pie & Baton Rouge's Shake Your Soul (w/c is to me bordering on becoming a children's nursery rhymes, but one hell of an enjoyable album). LOVE/HATE - great album but when the shock has worn out turns out to be just simple sleaze rock. Poison - Flesh and Blood - undeniably great - a totally different band Eyes - Eyes - of course, with Jeff Scott Soto on board, who would argue. One of the best hard rock songwriter.
  9. That would be good - Yngwie playing along side Eddie(!)(?) If Yngwie would ever step into the same studio where Eddie is. Or if Eddie would ever get out of his miserable hole.
  10. Yeah, those 70's early am singles and those Time Life CDs! Also love 80s new wave, classical guitar music (Segovia, Parkening), Praise & Worship, Kenny Loggins' Return to Pooh Corner and of course the BEATLES. I have gotten over the Blues, as of late.
  11. How could I forgot Jeff Scott Soto in this list. But have to admit, I'm more of a fan of his unmatched songwriting skill than his voice.
  12. Ronnie James Dio Marq Torien John Waite Matthew Nelson (or was that Gunnar with the big voice) Ann Wilson Janis Joplin
  13. Just 1 buy: The Spirit Valentine - A Shower of Sparks
  14. Facing the Animal was the album that raised Malmsteens profile in America. It was the first album on a major label since Fire and Ice. It's a shame he hasn't been able to follow that album. He needs to bring Mats Leven back or writing better songs would help to. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> "Writing better songs?" then Yngwie needs JSS! Haven't really heard everything that Yngwie recorded. He may have gotten a better vocalist than Jeff Scott but in terms of writing, only a few names in hard rock that I can think of, who can write better/stronger songs than him.
  15. Wishing I won't see anything interesting from the pawnshop that I frequent to because of lack of funds. But how can I pass these: THE MEADIA - S/T (still sealed) THE MOTHER STATION - Brand New Bag (Mint/Promo Copy - ignored this for the longest time, now I know what I missed. Great blues/soul/rock album!) TIME GALLERY - S/T (drilled on the side)
  16. just want to say I sell to those who want to buy...those that don't that is cool too O, how I hate when a member try to crucify another member. I already felt that. Yes, matters like this can be done through pm. I also understand staryder's good intentions BUT just what mbutt has typed on his post, he sells to those who want to buy. I think most of us here know where to get what on a cheaper price thanks to the sharing of info on this Message Board. So, he's not shoving his CDs to us. That is what I think about 90% of the advertisers here in the U.S. (who pushes ad agencies to come up with terrible ads), if one person doesn't want my product or service then I can always sell to the next person. Got what I mean?
  17. EXTREME's Pornograffitti!!!!!!!!!!! How can this be not included on the list? But the very first title that entered my mind when I saw the title of the thread was: L.A. GUNS' Cocked and Loaded <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Also entered my mind, AND THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE BEST SOPHOMORE EFFORT... Honeymoon Suite's THE BIG PRIZE.
  18. EXTREME's Pornograffitti!!!!!!!!!!! How can this be not included on the list? But the very first title that entered my mind when I saw the title of the thread was: L.A. GUNS' Cocked and Loaded
  19. I have asked this before, but somehow it got probably drowned by the multiple pages on the first thread. I would like to know your opinion about: THE MOTHER STATION It's a great blues and soul band, similar to The Black Crowes. Really would like to see it here but I don't have a scanner for the cover. And this band: UNDER NEATH WHAT Has the look of a sleaze band, but the sound? Any?
  20. How about the blues and soul band The Mother Station? This band is/was good.
  21. I think it's the boy band where Bobby Brown (Mr. Whitney Houston) used to belong to.
  22. Both from the same shop: Hard Margaret - S/T (will go straight to the mail to relivin80s) Passion - In Your Dreams! and some new ones!: Y&T - Contagious ($2.30!) Christmas with Frank & Bing (SO, WHAT! )
  23. Trying out some of Vai's records would push anyone more away from 'Solo' guitar records. Don't get me wrong, I think Steve Vai is the best (better than Satch, his maestro IMHO) but some of his stuffs are too weird even to musicians who buy these kind of records. I loved him more when he played with Alcatrazz and Dave Lee Roth. BUT!!! I think this kind of music is made directly for guitarists who are looking for inspirations and people who can make their heads spin. They're not for everyone. Better try Eric Johnson. His records (the ones that I've heard) have good "SONGS" (songs as we know them, w/vocals) in 'em and also have a good dose of instrumentals. Satch's earlier records have some instrumentals that are SINGABLE because he uses a composition technique that can put strong melodies on any song. But lately, he has gotten too weird, too. He now belongs to those batch of guitarists who made playing guitar a sport.
