Retrospect Records strikes again.........
T-BONE replied to Mullethead's topic in Retrospect Records
Sorry...I think alot of people DO CARE what they are buying, but maybe they have nowhere to vent about it. Not everyone has access to a webpage or a phone number to complain about things such as this, so you'd never hear from them. Besides, if they left a Negative for Sam, he just bans them from his auctions and spouts off anyway. He didn't make a "decision" to print them on CDR's for any other reason other than to cut to the cheapest cost and to maximize his pocket lining. Sure businessess want to cut costs as much as possible, but if the loss of customers is greater than the amount of cost you cut, you've gained nothing. -
Where in the World does Retrospect Records come from?

Do you have the right info Dan? I was pretty positive it was Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Not Peter Paul and Mary -
This thread is just to keep a running collection of names that James Arwine has used on eBay. This list will help when we notify eBay of his actions and of past names. Please stick to only this topic in this thread to avoid threadjacking. These are the names I've been able to fine so far within the HH Threads. Please add to it if you have more: Updated 05-27-08 Names and Addresses James Arwine 68 North Main Street Apt. # 2 Red Lion, PA 17356 J Michael Arwine 68 North Main Street Apt. # 2 Red Lion, PA 17356 OR Dennise Peresolak 68 North Main Street Apt. # 2 Red Lion, PA 17356 Charlotte Jackson 68 North Main Street Apt. # 2 Red Lion, PA 17356 ***OR*** Same names with: P.O. James Arwine Ripoff artist

And your response was?!?!????? Actually, since he got NLARU'd, you don't have to complete the transaction -
Their first website is http://www.alibirocksu.com It's still up, but the other I listed is the main one now. Anywhooo...This is the one I got my CD off of. Go to the LINKS page and that's where I ordered mine. Beware....I put this CD in my car CD Player, and because of the sticker label, it didn't really want to come back out all that well It made the cd a little too thick. The new drummer for Alibi is also the drummer in my friends band Gemini
-
Are you sure it's not Aprilz Fool? It must be because I also got a cheaply made disk when I ordered one. The lead singer is Anthony Timm. His new band is called Alibi. Their website is: http://www.alibirocksu.net/

And 2 victims out of 3 transactions....... -
I finally got mine this morning. I must say, it's one hell of a nice package for a re-release. They didn't skimp on anything!
-
He told me that they all shipped Monday for those who ordered on the 11th
-
Sheesh...I ordered it on the 11th, and still nothing
-
I'm still waiting

Lori Linstruth is an American who's been living in Sweden for the last 10 years. SHe's a very accomplished guitar player in the vein of Schenker, Malmsteen and Uli Roth. She's also the guitarist for the all female band Warbride. She's been working on a project started by Dutch musician/composer Arjen Anthony Lucassen called Stream Of Passion. Check It Out! Stream Of Passion Check out the full MP3 download called Deciever on the webpage as well as a Trailer and other samples

They are BOOTLEGS. The seller digital_metal does the same with DVD's. He makes them look all official, but never tells the buyer that they are self made compilations. Someone else made a thread about the Camp Classics seller a little while ago, maybe within a week.

This only goes up to approx 1983, but there's great info in there. I have the version with the Blue and Pink cover International Encyclopedia of Hard Rock and Heavy Metal It also can be found HERE

The Dirt - Motley Crue
-
I just noticed that there sure are alot of specific chick tunes on this cd...Claire, Nikki and Carrie
-
Did they re-record the tracks or just add the bonus tracks? I'm not recognizing the other 2 names on this lineup that's listed Kenny Hamberg: Drums and keyboards Michael Olszewski: Guitars and basses Frank Siccoli: Vocals tracks 1-10 Eric Thompson: Vocals tracks 11-12 Where's Mick Carrey? or is that Michael Olszewski's real name?
-
What Jim said I'm really liking the quality every aspect of this disk has taken from the cd itself, to the booklet and the production. Working with the band for the "reissue" or ISSUE since it was never officially released, was a good thing for the success of this piece
-
Looks like he's added all nice "official" looking jackets to the bootlegs as well

Another Word Of Caution
T-BONE replied to Delbert's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
I had a Newbie contact me about 3 weeks ago regarding a guitar I had purchased from another seller. He did so going through an auction for a pair of Subs I was selling. He asked for my e-mail so he could tell me something. I found this suspicious, so I logged on to eBay and responded, but blocked my e-mail addy. I asked him why he wanted to talk to me. He responded back asking for my e-mail addy again. I scolded him telling him it's none of his business what I buy on eBay and he has no reason to contact me. I notified eBay of this person. A few days later, another freshly registered Newbie outbids everyone and wins my auction and I cannot get ahold of the buyer. No responses, false contact info, disconnected phone. I also reported this to ebay. I have a funny feeling that this is the same person that wanted my e-mail addy to begin with and this was the only way they could get it....by winning my auction. eBay responded to me with a generated e-mail stating where I can get my listing fees back and all that, but now I'm more worried about my address, name, e-mail and other contact onfo that this scammer may have. -

Another Word Of Caution
T-BONE replied to Delbert's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
This goes along with the thread I started a few weeks back as well. I have recieved many e-mails like this over the last 5 years, but I must say say, that the last 3-4 months have been equaled to what I've recieved over the 5 years. They're really pouring it on... -
