  1. There is a Korean "Stars" that inspired a thread of mine a few weeks back that is brilliant. I have always loved Stryper's version of Shining Star. Dweezil has some nice covers: Baby One More Time on the Ready To Rumble soundtrack and then off his Confessions cd he has Don Osmond singing lead on his cover of Stayin' Alive and of course his cover of his pops song My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama. And lets not forget the entire (minus 2) self titled Fozzy release. I am certain there are a mcmillion more... Oh for infamous covers there is obviously Priest's Green Manalishi, Great White's Substitute, Face The Day, Once Bitten Twice Shy...
  2. Hysteria The Def Leppard story. Found this while ruttin' about on YouTube last night and it appears to be a VH1 affair from 2001. Nothing here you probably don't already know but still an OK watch if anything to see Anthony Michael Hall play Mutt Lange...
  3. Two, actually. A Sony XBR 65X900B in my computer room, and a Samsung 75HU8550 in the living room. The latter is what the 4K Blu-Ray is connected to. Buying sets when they go on clearance the year after they come out, when the dealer has to make room for the new sets, can save you some serious coin. The 75" Samsung originally was well over $5,000. I got it for less than half that. 75"? Shit, that's way too big for my place. My 52" is probably the perfect size. I wouldn't want to go any smaller, and would possibly consider going up to 60", depending on the size of the trim around the screen. Also, $2000 is still more than I'd want to pay. Funny regarding the size comment. I though 49" was going to be teeny, but it fits the room well. I initially wasn't entertaining anything under 52", but the sale price grabbed and me and the rest is history.
  4. Some quite competent Brazilian Hard Rock with modern undertones. https://www.facebook.com/badlucktrain https://youtu.be/LWGYiPsdP4A?list=UUn2WvDbd4iXBEdtN62U7DIw https://youtu.be/b7QyS7_nUTE https://youtu.be/OJr47azR2nk
  5. Just after Christmas we picked up a 49" 4k LG at Costco for just under $500. It was an amazing one of sale and I have yet to see this TV poke up again at this price. I am not an electronics geek, but my first foray into this arena and I like it.
  6. Not too shocked no one gave these guys a try, but certainly should as the name certainly is not a reflection of the melodic hard rock they are throwing down. Nice stuff!
  7. This one is appealing to me as it is a nice blend of modern hard rock/sleaze and goth. I am certain many will bash them, but in the end they are still a good band. https://www.facebook.com/hellboulevard https://youtu.be/k7hk5PUhj3Q https://youtu.be/mpQ6ZJEn43E https://youtu.be/8pl-_1Fq5RI
  8. Missed this obviously the first go round and so did everyone else, but I stumbled upon some YouTube video's and these guys are really good. Here are some vid's for your consumption. Enjoy! http://fatnelly.com/index2.php https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fat-Nelly/350732290809?fref=ts https://youtu.be/tIIUjSxzXvU https://youtu.be/OqTN-TmrvKQ https://youtu.be/HPyNxyS9kao
  9. Great soundtrack, I have it on vinyl. Of course he didn't reach the same heights of majesty as Conan's soundtrack. Were there any truly great sub movies? And I cannot recall the soundtrack at all. Who's on it? Not "who's" but "whom"...Basil Poledouris.
  10. You don't like Ryan Reynolds? I love the kid. His comedic delivery is great. That recent film he did where he killed all his co-workers and his cat and dog talked to him was excellent. Can't think of the name of it right at the moment even though I can see the box cover clearly. Voices was the movie and again it is excellent. This DP affair does look good. Sidebar: what's with the new wave of having actors that have already been a superhero, be a different superhero, is it me or is that just weird? Ryan was Green Lantern already right and Ben Afleck was oh crap what was that guys name...
  11. Watched the trailer and it could be a bit funny if not sterile, but to answer your question Keef in 3 words or less "The Cup Song" and then she sings it in both PP movies no less and who knows where else. It's like in her contract or something to jam that POS down our throats in everything she does or something. On topic, started watching Insidious 2 and I have a beef. What the flip is with having noises being 10 times loader than the dialogue? I assume its a blatant attempt at the "jump scare" but all it really does is hurt my ears and piss me off cause I have to crank the volume way the flip up to hear the whisper talk and then get the plywood out to fix the shattered windows when the noise happens. I call lame!
  12. OMG. That is so blatantly a cry out to pay attention to me not my daughter. Look at my fishing lure jeans. I too shop at forever 21... And the song is very bad.
  13. I thought this one kinda sucked. It started off well, but really feel apart at the end. I would have preferred more of her family. I will pass based on the Kendrick person.
  14. Jack Brooks Monster Slayer Yea it's almost 10 years old but it's excellent with a killer score.
  15. No?! Really? Surely everyone is dying to see what other zany adventures Bill and Ted can get up to!! Seeing two 80 year old guys acting like gronks in a sequel to a couple of movies that should never have been made in the first place... that ranks very high on my list of desires. Yeah, that's kinda what I'm sayin'. If they ever make that third movie they could call it "Bill & Ted's Most Heinous Mid Life Crisis." Oh come on now for what those movies were they were funny and filled with most excellent tunage. Sure no academy nods to be had but still some fun mindless comedies and Keanu's best role to date.
  16. Etonian does release some nice stuff. Stormspell is great but more of a metal label. Demon doll does release a lot of glam stuff but they do a grip of CD-R releases.
  17. They are a previous band of Dean Fox from Knock Out Kaine I've never heard of Sinful Kixx, Dean Fox, or Knock Out Kaine. (Yay me! I score the Hat Trick of total ignorance!) ...so why is this CD selling for $900 exactly? Cuz you don't know about it. ?
  18. "The LA Guns 88' album in its entirety". What can't call it by title?
  19. It's been on my list for a long minute. I just need to find an evening where I feel like watching a film for 2 hours and 46 minutes. Trust me it flies by. I was shocked when it was over and checked the clock. Again very engaging and well acted. Doesn't feel like a long film. Could and would have easily watched another hours worth.
  20. Straight Outta Compton Excellent. Even if you don't appreciate rap music the story is compelling and if you were alive during that era it will bring back some memories. Ice Cubes kid is a creepy doppelgänger for his pops.
  21. So that Bill and Ted is going to happen? I read something that Alex and Keanu were going to take a run at it but they didn't think it would get legs. I hope so as the other 2 are most excellent. Wondering where that San Andreas can go that makes sense. The Rebuild. Or Welocme to Arizona Bay? And not that I am any way shape or form interested but I did see an advert for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 last night.
  22. Thought I posted their FB link, guess not. https://www.facebook.com/shotfband That said to answer the where are they from question: Brazil. Now residing in Berlin apparently. Brothers Lenny Terron - Vox/Guitar / Henry Terron - Bass/Backin.
