Yeah, there was never a chance the booster wasn't going to be mandatory. Will be interesting because I feel like with each level of fucking idiocy they lose a few more of the morons who have hungrily devoured everything we've been fed so far and it must finally be dawning on even the most diehard freedom haters that there is no end whatsoever to any of this. At some point there I'm sure there will be some valid, unified resistance to all this absolute garbage. Will it be third booster, or the 23rd? That I'm not sure of.

I really hope so, but I'm not optimistic.

He reminds me a bit of Merv how he barrels forwards in his run up. Another great Victorian character from the game.

Yeah, and he was instantly adopted by the crowd, echoing the iconic "crowd imitates Merv" action.

  3. Forget mandatory double vaccination.

It was just announced down here that certain workplace sectors will require mandatory booster shots.

That's just the start and of course, it will end up being mandatory booster shots for all.

FFS!, I don't have any more testicles to give!

I guess I couldn't really accept or believe it and i've probably been naive, but the last couple of days have really driven home to me the fact that none of us actually have any rights whatsoever.

We have found ourselves in a position where we are truly at the mercy of the powers that be and it's not a localized thing. This shit is Worldwide.

Been there done that, it is nerve - racking, when got a 14 young kid at other end.

Dusty, you, know how we have immortals in front of Gee e.g. great man Lillee ? Well there is new one is going up featuring Scott Boland.

    It wouldn't surprise me.

  5. One for the Aussies and Brits.

Boxing Day, MCG, Ashes Test 3, Day 3.

Scott Boland's 6 for 7 will go down in history.

As usual, I find the rule of thumb when watching Cricket is,

As soon as you walk away from the TV, a wicket is taken.

I saw him take his first wicket on day 3 and decided to go to the supermarket and get supplies to spend the rest of the day watching Cricket.

I returned within an hour and it was all over.

The end of day 2 was sensational enough, but day 3 was beyond Epic!

Again, only the Aussies, Poms and other Cricketing Nations understand.

BTW, I live about 15 minutes away from a small nondescript regional Aussie Town called "Sunbury", which is the birthplace of "The Ashes".

    Again, only as above.

That write-up nailed it. I love the heavier guitar sound (though I quite like their more recent albums as well - some really good stuff in there!) but melodically, lyrically, and atmospherically it's still classic Dare. And Darren's voice has aged phenomenally.

I'm actually excited for this one.

Yeah, if they're going for more of a "Blood From Stone" vibe then I'm also excited.

  7. Teer - Devil In Your Eyes.

Killer track that just popped up from a great youtube channel I'm subscribed to called "Hard Rock Heaven 2"

I checked the HH database and there's an album from a band named "Teer", but it doesn’t contain this track, so I don't know if it's the same guys.

My usual downloading sources came up empty.

Anybody ever heard of these guys, or have the album?

See what I did there Cody?   ;)

  8. Here's a couple from "Outlaws & Moonshine".

A great example of Hard Rock Country.

A band that's featured in the HH database, but I could definitely see these tracks being performed by a current mainstream Country band/artist.

  9. One from the "Little Caeser" debut, which I love and a couple of Legendary classics.

The Def Leppard track may be contentious, but of course "Rocket" (being a great tribute track to earlier Rock acts). Is a play on "Rock It".

BTW, its "We're fighting with the Gods of war" for those who are interested.

I have a new goal for Dusty, I assume you played Rugby, b4 I die I want to get Dusty into pads and a helmet to show him there's a huge difference between the 2, and your just gonna have to believe me, my time playing Rugby, which was only 5 months, was much more enjoyable because I didn't have to wear all that gear, it was extremely frustrating learning Rugby after playing football my entire youth, I liken it to fighting, I'm sure you've boxed and fist fought b4, so you know those boxing gloves don't make a windmill feel much different, but your jaw isn't shattered after you take the hit.

    You assume wrong my friend.

Being a Victorian, I grew up playing Aussie Rules.

I see what you're saying but the over-riding point here is still being lost. I think resentment for Djokovic himself is clouding this story vigorously.

Let's say it's Kokk Inmyass from Romania who wants to come here and play tennis. He has $40 to his name and just wants to play the Aussie Open to make his parents proud. He's unvaccinated, but he had covid before and he's in a country where over 90% of the people are vaccinated and it's leaders have lied, I mean, said to their prisoners, I mean citizens that we're going to need to live with covid.

Two weeks ago, before exactly what everyone knew would happen happened and the country panicked more than it ever has because what we all knew would happen actually did happen, you could walk into a crowded shopping centre, unvaccinated, and that was meant to be okay and a sign of us getting on with life. Until the panic stricken fuckers shut it all down again.

But my point is how idiotically pathetic this all is. Why is it an issue for anyone if unvaccinated Kokk Inmyass wants to play tennis with the same people he's been playing tennis with all year in countries that allow things to happen? What is the actual stripped back all bullshit aside problem? What is everyone so scared of?

And in giving Kokk Inmyass' exclusion the green light, what are you all okaying? Right now, at this minute, is the lowest amount of covid cases there will ever be in Australia again. For anyone who missed this two years ago, it's not going anywhere. We all got vaccinated and there's nothing more we can actually do, is there? So, if you don't let Kokk Inmyass play tennis in Australia now, you're saying that no one who is unvaccinated should and will ever be allowed into Australia again? Because it won't get better than this. And if people think it will, what is this next new special thing everyone is holding out for? Or is everyone just resigned to the fact that this is how the rest of our lives look and they're okay with it?

But there's a point within a point there. So if we deny Djokovic now, or Inmyass, are we saying that they should never be allowed into Australia ever again? And if we're not saying that, when will it be okay to enter Australia, if they remain unvaccinated, and why is it okay at that point and not now?

Because it was the most publicised story on the entire planet when it happened and everyone already knows it. I don't watch the news and know this, so it can't have escaped anyone.

Yeah, everything you're saying is right and I'm embarrassed by the coverage we're getting internationally.

It's a bit biased using that Romanian player as an example though.

We all know how much you love Kokk.

You ever been hit it pads and a helmet? there's a reason they could be so brutal, trust me those pads and helmet only make sure your chances of being killed or paralyzed are less likely, they are a huge incentive to be more reckless and unhinged then they would if they weren't wearing them, don't ever kid yourself. BTW those weren't cheap shots, it was perfectly legal when he played.

Hmmm... I not convinced of any of that.

In my lifetime the NFL has gone from something I lived for 2nd only to MLB to a complete fag getto celebration of the low class low brow geto crew, or modern day hip hop, last time I went to a Bucs game which was in 2017, I was blown away by the fact it was still a mostly white affair, I wouldve never guessed that by the way they represent themselves, on top of the fact they show 40 fucking minute commercial blocks, have eliminated all the hard hitting, im sorry but these are big boys, they know what their getting into, if they want to Chuck Cecil somebody they should be able to, I know it would regain my interest, football is one step away from bra and panties with flags, fucking pathetic.

I had to look up Chuck Cecil.

There were a lot of cheap shots.

Cheap shots while wearing full padding and a helmet mind you.

Down here he would be known as a "grub".

I'm not going to get stuck into someone for having the balls to do what many of us wish we could have done.

I agree 100%, but I would've had more respect for the guy if he had of said, "Okay Australia, if that's your policy, I won't be attending and you won't have the World's No.1 tennis player at your event".

It would have made our Government look even more fucking ridiculous than it already does.

I'm not justifying the circumstances, but I know people who have made the same stand and have had to make sacrifices. This guy wants to have his cake and eat it too.

When Ali made his stand against against Vietnam he said he thought it was morally wrong, stood up for his principles, refused to go and was banned from boxing as a result. He didn't try to wriggle out of it with a medical exemption.

As I said earlier, I think it's a bit rich to make a stand against something and then proceed to try and slip in through the back door with an exemption.

When it comes to the Australian Government or Djokovic, I don't have much respect for either parties TBH.
