Yeah, this one is a little gem.
I love Carsten Shulz. A definite hired gun with many projects under his belt, but I do find him to be hit and miss.
When he hits though, it's great.
"Evidence One" comes to mind.
It's close, this isn't as good as those albums, but it's definitely one of his big hits.
You should check out "July Reign" Cody.

Craig McLachlan & Check 1 - 2 Mona.
Terrible.
Of course in those days, off the back of "Kylie", every TV soap celebrity was releasing a song.
"Neighbors" was particularly known for it and I'm sure Doggy, that this is one of your favorites.
It's amazing to think that the same guy is playing the same character in the same TV show after all these years.

Taylor Momsen.
Yes, of course. A perfect example.

Good one.
The little red haired kid from "Different Strokes", pops up in "Terminator 2" then releases this.
What a ride.
It's a solid album for sure.
Lead Vocalist, Danny Cooksey.

Dang, I can only think of celebrities that have released awful songs, but I suppose that would be too easy for one of these lists!
I'd say Bad4good but that almost feels like cheating

I mean obviously all of David Hasselhoffs stuff
Actually Johnny Depp did some good stuff, but a lot easier to do with Alice Cooper singing...Hasselhoff is a good one, but as with everyone (except the Germans) i've never taken him seriously.
I do like this recentish track though. Very tongue in cheek and ultra corny, but I definitely don't hate it.

Yes the Barbusters, let's not forget Lenny on bass guitar...
Which reminds me
Well, if we're talking about the Legendary "Michael McKean" and the other Legendary "Spinal Tap" guys, then I've gotta throw this one in.
For the record, "Lenny" was great, but "Sguiggy" was hilarious. Very early TV memories with those guys.

Okay Dan, are you saying the completed 2021 best of lists won't be released until we guess this...
...or is this a stalling tactic?
Actually, on second thought, I reckon even if the lists are ready to go, you should delay their release until we guess this last top 5 inclusion. It's enthralling.

Think about the genres at the very core of what this site is about. We're not talking fringe styles here.
Obviously, this statement is the key to this "Enigma wrapped in a riddle".
If you'll allow a question, is this Band/Artist featured in the Main Site database?
I'm very curious now. I hope this album lives up to the hype.

Keenu Reeves.
I actually saw "Dogstar" and Keanu perform as a "Bon Jovi" support act in the early 90's.

I may as well throw in a couple of my favourites from last year.
"Durbin" or "Thy Row"?

Surprisingly no one has yet mentioned the actor Jared Leto and his band 30 Seconds to Mars. They sold millions of albums...
Yeah, that's a good example.

This one came to mind immediately. I guess maybe only us Americans will remember Tina Yothers and her long standing role as Michael J Fox' little sister on TV's Family Ties.
This video is meh, but I couldn't fins an "official video" for her band Jaded, but there are plenty of song videos with stills of the band.
Taking about "Family Ties".
I'll see your "Tina Yothers" and raise you a "Michael J. Fox"

Absolutely remember Tina Yothers.
I remember as she got older they tried to make her look more glamorous, but she was never a hottie.
There was an episode of "Family Ties" that focused on Jennifer's singing that featured Christina Applegate as a member of her group.
It's very cringe worthy.

I'm not sure we can trust the final result now guys.
There may be Russian collusion involved.

Not too much more from Bravewords....
Swedish metal band, Secret Society, recently announced that guitarist/engineer/producer Andy LaRocque (King Diamond) is mixing and co-producing the band's new single, "Devil's Call", at Sweden's Sonic Train Studios.
Secret Society features Rick Altzi (Masterplan, Herman Frank), Morten Sandager (ex-Pretty Maids, Ronnie Atkins) and Paul Sabu (Alice Cooper, David Bowie). Stay tuned for updates.
Assuming you are on Facebook you can see their site....personally I can't see it and will never join up...
https://www.facebook.com/secretsocietyofficialband/
As with you, I'm not on Facebook and never will be.
I just use it for stalking purposes.
Thanks for the heads up on these guys anyway.
I'll have to investigate.

I was gonna wait for someone to inevitably post this one, then I thought fuck it.
Here's a killer example of something very unexpected.

Here's 3.
The pick of the bunch is "Jimmy Nail - Ain't No Doubt" from '92.
A killer track from a very unlikely source.
Only the Brits will know the reference, but we used to get "Auf Wiedersehen, Pet" on TV down here.
To then see Jimmy Nail releasing this was mind blowing.
I almost forgot, when it comes to the first clip, one thing springs to mind.
"I'M RICK JAMES BITCH!"
When it comes to the second clip, two things spring to mind.
-
That's good stuff.
I love Rick Altzi, but I missed this band.
Anymore info?

KILLER TRACK!!!
My initials also happen to be DG.
Don't worry though, my portrait is securely locked away.

I think it may be a generational thing, whichever the way the pendulum swings.
In the past the new music of the "kids" was always more popular than the "Golden Oldies".
The worm seems to have turned.
I reckon in times to come, the "new" music now, will become the "old" music that's more popular than the "new" music of the time.
Rinse and repeat until the pendulum swings again.
A Gem that you FUCKERS NEVER TOLD ME ABOIUT!!!

This project gives "Evidence One" a run for it's money.
Carsten's only a guest Vocalist (2 tracks) BTW on the second album.
