I've mentioned this one before, but the first one that comes to mind for me is

    Forever Young - Tyketto

There's heaps more that i consider 10s. I'll have to have a good think about it.

    Maybe,

    Midnight Love - Roxus

    Jet City Woman - Queensryche

In A Darkened Room - Skid Row

    Healing Touch - Saraya

Love Is A Killer - Vixen

Face Down In The Gutter - XYZ

    Hang On Lucy - Wildside

Waitin' On A Heartbreak - The Defiants

The Loneliest Place In The World - Ten

    Spooky - Riverdogs

Those are just off the top of my head, but there's many more.

I must be just too fussy, or using the wrong criteria to judge cos I'm not managing to think of m(any) 10s...and nobody better say 'Typical woman' :007:

I'm just thinking of songs that i love and can't fault. I guess that makes them 10s for me.

Been listening to all the songs mentioned by everyone. haven't found any I don't like yet.

From yours, we listened to Ten's song twice - it's awesome

    Ten have some great ballads.

Gary Hughes' lyrics are the closest thing to poetry you'll find in Hard Rock IMO.

    Check out,

    Valentine

    Till The End Of Time

    You're in my heart

    Gary Hughes solo,

    At The End Of Day

  4. Was blown away by this as i'm sure you all we be too.

Got me thinking about how many absolute master guitar virtuosos there have been that have gone unnoticed or unrecognized because they don't look the part.

If she was hot we'd all know her name and she'd be up there with the greats.

  5. Cold Chisel are legendary.

A great example of two lead vocalists complimenting each other.

I haven't really been interested in Jimmy's stuff after "Two Fires". I believe he had huge tax issues and ever since that album i just get the vibe that he churns out as much as he can to make as much money as he can. I hate to say it, but i think he's the biggest "whore" in the Australian music industry.

As for Ian Moss, probably the complete opposite. Not enough material from him over the years. He achieved commercial and critical success with his "Matchbook" Album, but that's about it really.

  6. My father is actually Mark Weitz. He still records and sounds just as good as always. If interested let me know.

    Very, very interested!!!

Tell your Dad he's an absolute legend.

I've been listening to this style of music for a long time and his voice is right up there with the best of them.

One of the most underrated and under used voices in the business.

Any info on any other recordings he's done would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for posting mate and please thank your Dad for giving me many years of listening pleasure.

  7. Ron Young from "Little Caesar" was the bikie/biker who hits Arnie with a billiard cue in the beginning of "Terminator II".

Flea's been in a few - "Dudes", "Back to the future" and bandmate Anthony Kiedis was in "Point Break".

There are heaps of Rock artists who have played themselves in movies.

This is one of my favourites.

  8. "One of the more misinterpreted songs of all time, word was that "Turning Japanese" refers to the Asian facial features people get at the moment of climax during masturbation. In a VH1 True Spin special, they asked The Vapors about this song, and they explained that it is a love song about someone who lost their girlfriend and was going slowly crazy. Lead singer Dave Fenton said: "Turning Japanese is all the clichés about angst and youth and turning into something you didn't expect to." It was inspired by Fenton's relationship problems."

I still like to think it's a song about fapping.

    What can i say, i'm a romantic.

  9. Here is one that kind of threw me and obviously as the song implies I too turned Japanese watching. Kirsten Dunst= :tits:

That's amazing mate. I saw this for the first time yesterday and was thinking of posting it myself tonight.

BTW, does anybody know what The Vapors were referring to when they used the phrase "Turning Japanese" in the song?

Lets just say that Kirsten Dunst has been responsible for turning me japanese on several occasions.

Do you like this cover of Stone Roses' 'I am the Resurrection' by Merrymouth?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIynyHwuZwc

Can't say i'm very familiar with much of "The Stone Roses" work.

I just checked out the original, but neither that or this "Merrymouth" version is really my cup of tea i'm afraid.

Ah, but are you a tea drinker?

    Yeah, what kind of tea?

I am a tea drinker actually. Not that i have a cup of tea very often, but if given the choice between tea or coffee i'd go with tea everytime. Never been a coffee drinker at all, which i'm glad of when i see the amount of money the guys i work with spend on it. I don't know what it's like in the UK and Canada, but down here the price and pretentiousness of coffee has gotten a bit out of hand.

All of a sudden somebody who works at a coffe shop is called a "Barista" and god help you if you offer somebody instant coffee. I have friends who have spent thousands on fancy cafe style coffee machines who are horrified when they visit and i pull out the old "Nescafe Blend 43". Now that's a man's coffee.

EDIT: Seems to be a one-off reunion show this summer.

You never know. If this reunion is well received it may lead to something new in the studio. Maybe they're testing the waters. Fingers crossed.

Judging by the "going bald" thread, it looks like these guys had more hair on their chests than most of us do on our heads these days:(
