  1. I just posted this one in another thread, but it should have been one of the first I posted here. Very dark with an even darker back story.
  2. Usually we all are, about everything. I dunno?, he may have New Zealand blood.
  3. Ian Dury - Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. Words we all live by of course, but this nice little pop ditty is referencing the three main tenets of Mysticism. Ian gets it.
  4. Here's a "prophetic" one from an iconic Aussie band who didn't exist at the time.
  5. Talking about obscure Robin Williams cameos, have you ever seen "Shakes the Clown"? Starring the Hilariously Legendary Bobcat Goldthwait. I don't know if you know this, but good old Bobcat was banging the ULTRA HOT "Nikki Cox" in her prime. A very worthy addition to the "Titties" thread. RESPECT!
  6. Not sure. "Can I do it 'til I need glasses" was another good one.
  7. A bit of a vague-ish thread title, yes, but you'll know what I mean by these two examples. Off the top of my head, these were the only ones I could think of. Basically, when Bands/Artists mention themselves in a song. The way "Jaded Heart" did it in their "Anastasia" cover was a nice homage, knowing they couldn't use the original lyric. Anyone know of any others?
  8. "The Fabulous Thunderbirds" popped up in my rotation today, so I thought I'd bump this post of mine from '20. I really, really, love "Wrap Up It". A very cool band.
  9. This show is looking like it could become a cult classic for "our kind".
  10. Ha! Yes! Classic movie I discovered on VHS when I was about 10. There's another similar classic movie called "The Groove Tube" I discovered around the same time. I remember watching Kentucky Fried Movie when my mum walked past the TV during one of the raunchy scenes. She wasn't happy.
  11. I don't know what I was thinking. This should've been the first track I posted. I Salute you all!
  12. Not available in my Country mate. What was it?
  13. Another obvious, but very worthy inclusion. Without these guys we might not be here today.

I'm not gonna be a Fauci apologist, but yeah, his family being threatened is not cool.
  15. Here's a couple of Aussie bands you might not know Cody. Both created by Legendary Aussie muso, Joe Camilleri. Back in 1979 "Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons" had two huge hits that I'm sure all Aussies here have fond memories of (I've posted them first). Then, in the late 80s/early 90s he wisely decided to form a band with the equally Legendary Vicka and Linda Bull called "The Black Sorrows". Another much loved Aussie band. I don't think many non Aussies would have heard of "Jo Jo Zep and the Falcons", but "The Black Sorrows" may have had some international success, I don't know, but what I do know, is that "Never Let Me Go" is a kick arse track! These eight tracks were a huge part of the soundtrack of my life.

I really hope so, but I'm not optimistic.

    Cricket !

Yeah, and he was instantly adopted by the crowd, echoing the iconic "crowd imitates Merv" action.

Forget mandatory double vaccination. It was just announced down here that certain workplace sectors will require mandatory booster shots. That's just the start and of course, it will end up being mandatory booster shots for all. FFS!, I don't have any more testicles to give! I guess I couldn't really accept or believe it and i've probably been naive, but the last couple of days have really driven home to me the fact that none of us actually have any rights whatsoever. We have found ourselves in a position where we are truly at the mercy of the powers that be and it's not a localized thing. This shit is Worldwide.

    Cricket !

    It wouldn't surprise me.

One for the Aussies and Brits. Boxing Day, MCG, Ashes Test 3, Day 3. Scott Boland's 6 for 7 will go down in history. As usual, I find the rule of thumb when watching Cricket is, As soon as you walk away from the TV, a wicket is taken. I saw him take his first wicket on day 3 and decided to go to the supermarket and get supplies to spend the rest of the day watching Cricket. I returned within an hour and it was all over. The end of day 2 was sensational enough, but day 3 was beyond Epic! Again, only the Aussies, Poms and other Cricketing Nations understand. BTW, I live about 15 minutes away from a small nondescript regional Aussie Town called "Sunbury", which is the birthplace of "The Ashes". Again, only as above.
