  1. I voted Van Halen before I realised that it may be interpreted as a vote for DLR VH which it isn't. To me there is the test run, then Sammy VH
  2. Vacation. Way better than I thought. They got this one right. The little brother steals the show with one liners. Not many movies have me sit and laugh out loud many times during the flick, but this one did
  3. Always liked Heir Apparent's version, but my favorite would be by Bobaflex. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-1D5N7Bzrk
  4. Wolf OF Wall Street. Enjoyed it the first time, and enjoyed more the second. Sharknado 3. Stupider than the first 2 but that's a good thing More fun.
  5. Awesome band name.... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . not! lol
  6. The term "supergroup" is being used pretty loosely here I think...
  7. Teen Wolf was on TV. I remember kind of liking the movie when I saw it. Not this time though lol
  8. Fast Furious 7 About what you'd expect. Kurt Russell was fun to watch.
  9. Temperature should be measured in kelvin, with 0 being absolute zero at -273 Celcius Not sure this one will come to pass though
  10. Tomorrowland. Better than I thought it would be. Kind of hide the story for the first half of the movie, and it nicely progresses. Worth a watch, but wouldn't be adding it to my collection.
  11. Science is metric. The world eventually will be. Like it or not, Americans (and other countries) are seen as way behind the times in not making changes. Inevitable...
  12. Pretty sure the turning right from the left lane is because of trams going down the middle and therefore cars blocking if they were to edge forward to turn right from the right lane. I guess it's a lot different when you live somewhere. I rarely travel into town and if I do I make sure it's during the right times of the day or on weekends. The worst is having to go in to get visas when traveling. 2 trips - one to drop off passport and one to collect. As I travel a lot so it's a pain. Other than that, most things can be done from the 'burbs
  13. haha, I was in Sydney a few weeks ago and kept on ending up on tollways bypassing the city. I admit I hate fucking trams. Just replace them with busses already who can pull in to the left. The turn right from the left is easy after you've done it a couple of times. I'd say this is more an AFL vs NRL thing Also, it rains more in Sydney annually than in Melbourne. Our weather gets a bum rap....
  14. re: Melbourne - just voted world's most livable city Not sure what there is to hate about it. I get that you may not be in love with it, never heard of anyone hating it... re: Treat - agree it was an average album for me. If Harem Scarem make the trip I'll be in. HEAT would also be good
  15. Pour Some Sugar On Me Part 2 I guess if I heard it enough I'd eventually think of it as it's own song. OK I Guess, but doubt I'd be interested enough to bother with a new Def Lep album, unless it gets rave reviews...
  16. Spy. Weird movie. Overall, watchable but here's why it was kinda average. It was over 2 hours long. They mixed up too many genres. There was crude and smutty comedy, slapstick comedy, long winded jokes, an action spy movie, tonnes of swearing, ditsy characters who were also ninjas and hard ass bosses who would never employ these fuck ups. I can watch any of those types of movies, but mashed together it didn't work. There were some funny moments, mainly Jason Stantham, but aside from that Melissa McCarthy was the same character she usually is and Miranda was straight out of her TV series....
  17. Mad Max Fury Road. Kinda just a remake of Mad Max 2, using the same formula including the same types of vehicles chasing down a tanker. Was Ok I guess.
  18. Yeeah I got that. For me it was kinda lame before I turned the movie on, and it was a bit too much "Rocky" What then confused me was that there seemed to be only one very small reference to southpaw in the movie, and it seemed irrelevant to the movie, let alone being the name of the movie...
  19. I'd love to get my hands on that song...
  20. Southpaw. Not sure what the title references. Just a Rocky rehash. 2 hours long and weird disjointed things happen during it that don't really have much bearing. Enjoyable enough to watch, but nothing all that new.
  21. My wife got me Kiss tickets today for Fathers' Day. I've seen them a few times so i wasn't desperate to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on tickets to see the same show again, but she managed to get a couple of $100 tickets on the floor in the Gold area so should be good. Will be fun seeing how she reacts to the concert
  22. The start of that song for some reason reminded me of DiAnno (the band who made one album) And in the spirit of that, I give you Antigua - the best song from the CD https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9_PRtxrwTY
