  1. Interesting that everyone, here and on Facebook etc basically was saying "QR are dead" "no Kevin, no QR" etc

Now they replace a singer and QR seem to be seen as an unmissable act.

I have been guilty of this to some degree also.

Have to hand it to Frankie. Everyone is quick to bag him for beating a dead horse, but if this guy stays with the band singing, there is a fair chance they could do something fairly good in the future.

Good on him for believing when everyone else didn't.

  2. Watching SP live on Facebook and enjoying it.

What they do live is exceptional. They are in Hollywood and it's much more laid back than when I saw them in Melbourne.

Godsmack drummer Sully and Eagles Of Death Metal bass player up on stage

Jeffrey Ross sand a couple of songs terribly.

Playing lots of covers and samples etc.

    Good fun.

  3. I kinda missed the whole Randy Rhodes thing.

I've heard some of his work, and while it's great, even excellent and exceptional at times, I often feel that he is a good example of early death elevating him to much higher regard than he would have normally achieved.

When Eddie Van Halen dies, he will be seen as an iconic guitarist, but if it's old age that gets him, he won't even be regarded as the god that Randy is seen as.

I hope writing that doesn't piss people off too much, I don't mean it in a demeaning way, more as an observation based on how I see RR.

  4. OK, so I saw a post on Trumpbook about this so I opened it.

    Curiosity got me.
    I didn't hate it.

Still no interest but I guess I was expecting utter utter shit because of the posts here and it was better than I expected.

No inclination to go back for more though....

  5. I'm sure I can think of more but these are my top 3 essentials:

Masquerade - Masquerade (The swedish band) I can listen to this with no skipping, from start to finish

Master of Puppets - Metallica - as much as I hate them now, I cannot deny that this is perfection

    Operation: Mindcrime - Queensryche

If I can still add some more, I think I consider these all-killer, no-filler:

You Can't Stop Rock N'Roll - Twisted Sister

Slippery When Wet - Bon Jovi

    Stage Dolls - Stage Dolls

I could go on and on...

    What is Stage Dolls?

Given the company, I'll check them out

  6. Play a Tokyo Motor Fist song after this and the difference is huge.

Yeah, I'm not even gonna try this one out.

I like TMF because it's not as soft as recent Ted stuff, but it's still about as soft as I want to o personally.

Which makes this Unruly Child off the table fr me...

  7. I hear a graduation between the last two Trixter albums and the TMF record.

For me New Audio Machine is more like traditional Trixter with batter production than the 80's

I can only really see Live For The Day and The Coolest Thing suiting Ted's voice.

Human Era is much close to TMF, and I think Ted could have easily substituted on the following songs (and probably others as well)

    Every Second Counts

    Beats Me Up

    Good Times Now

    All Night Long

Personally I like the way the Trixter are produced more that I do TMF

Tattoos And Misery and the old Skid Row song, Walk With A Stranger, are amazing tracks.

I still really like TMF, but it's just a different style with different band members with a different sound.

I wouldn't say Steve 'saved' songs for a project, just used the appropriate songs for the others involved.

  8. Ali.

I think I got confused between versions.
At some point I liked this movie enough to buy it, but having rewatched it I'm not sure why.

It was OK, but pretty much a mess, chopping and turning all over the place and leaving out lots of stuff.

Will have to look for the one I wanted to see.
