  1. I understand it is your own decision what payments to accept, but if the buyer is willing to cover the bank wire transfer fees it is way better and secure than gaypal and makes no real sense to reject it from seller's standpoint
  2. He will if he establishes himself in the team... Berbo has been known of sharing his piece of mind with his coaches, and Sir Alex has a short fuse to match, so we shall see... City have caught the golden goose and with the current selection they could do great things. Snatching Robinho from Chelski is a big atestate for their intentions. I wonder what happened with the 2-nd Bulgarian in the team, Bojinov?
  3. I think Berbo made a mistake and should have taken up the city offer. He would have made great tandem with Petrov and Shaun for some attractive footie. City obviously got the cash and Mark seems the right guy to take them up to rub shoulders with the top 3, or even shock them all. Its been too long since Blackburn did it, I say bring it on. Its tiresome seeing always Manure or Chelski champions
  4. After the inital heat of the moment dissipated, I have relented a bit and currently apply this rule only to customers hailing from regions with questionable postal services (in general everything outside: Western Europe (Italy excluded!), Canada, Japan, Australia). So yeah, all established customers are good to chose their desired shipping method. I always tried to run this distro on mutual respect and on the assumption people would be responsible for their own shipping decisions. Unfortunately time and again I'm proven wrong, so I had to take some little steps improving this. There is a huge recent invasion from Russian, Greek, Israeli, Chinese, South American buyers which can use PayPal now, and all of those folks expect to save on shipping and receive their goodies. The only way not only to protect my back, but to ensure they will receive their packages is to enforce this rule. Nothing personal to anyone, hope you understand.
  5. It should be the other way around. Why would anyone want to invest extra money into silverpressed releases if their cdrs sell good? Because peolpe got cd-r's when they thought they were getting silver presed? In an ideal world - absolutely! I'm all with you on this. In reality, though, you either re-press immediately and make your fans happy, or keep selling the cdrs...
  6. It should be the other way around. Why would anyone want to invest extra money into silverpressed releases if their cdrs sell good?
  7. My account has been restored today. Not only I had to part with my funds and wait 10 days for paypal to fix it, but I also had to endure countless automated e-mails telling me how safe, fair, and secure their system is... what a joke! As a result, from now on, ALL international buyers at Stormspell Records are going to absorb high EMS shipping through paypal - my sincere apologies but I have no choice. Cheaper shipping methods are still available, but for western union, money gram, or cash payments only.
  8. A well-known duplicated CDR seller, avoid her at all costs.
  9. As of about two years US Postal Services do not offer snailmail/by_ship services anymore. The cheapest one can send a 6 CD package with jewel cases to Australia/NZ would be via first class for $13.60 given all CDs are under 4oz and no extra padding (the price go incrementally up with $1.65 per every 4oz extra!) Alternately, one can stuff 6 CDs with jewels in flat-rate priority-mail cardboard envelope for $11.95 (was $11 a month ago before the last postage price rise). I guess this is how Perris Records ships their packages and havent updated their prices yet. USPS online calculator to check prices and available shipping methods: http://ircalc.usps.gov/
  10. Apparently PayPal didnt see the custom slip number as legit proof, trackable or not. I told them repeatedly I'm in Europe at the moment and cannot fax actual receipt printouts and such - they just kept sending me same ol' automated e-mails... I saw where this is going and drained out my account, and as a result my account is now restricted until I put $60 back in it for them to steal
  11. This person: Loïc ROTUREAU 1 bi avenue du luxembourg 91600 savigny sur orge France This guy bought 5 CDs from me which I promptly shipped to him via Priority mail. The package custom number was #LC191239351US and when tracked on USPS website showed the package was delivered to the buyer on April 29. Nevertheless, shortly after the dude initiated PayPal dispute claiming the package was not received. I provided all info and details to PayPal, but after their "careful examination" they decided in buyer's favor and ripped me off by returning him his money... way to go you gaypal! Sellers/dealers/traders, please be aware and avoid doing business with this dishonest person Loïc ROTUREAU!
  12. A friend of mine recently bought something from this dude and not only got spammed with over 100+ invoices within 24 hours of the auction's end, but the seller also made him pay $0.80 extra to cover for the PayPal fees... this guy is nuts, avoid!
  13. Q: Your auction states everything in the pictures is included...? A: You get everything you see in the GPK pictures. I guess the high bidder will be receiving a table along with the cards too. Not bad for the current price
  14. It should if they flew straight line, but they dont and the difference is only about 2 hours I think.
  15. The boxes may be usable as packing supply, but the flat rate of $4.85 is not valid anymore. It is the same with the small global priority envelopes which were flat $5.25, you still can use them, but have to pay $11 shipping as of today's current rate. No more questions, that would be all
  16. But you see, there isnt a priority flat rate box that is $4.85... all flat rate boxes are $8.95... http://www.usps.com/shipping/flatrate.htm
  17. You need to talk to your local post office clerk to figure out where those $0.25 overcharge come from
  18. Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials trilogy. I picked it up out of curiousity to see what's so scarry in it to make some religious orgainzation to press for its banning from public libraries... The first book was a bit childish, but from second onwards it unfolded into a killer fantasy story with intricate plot and provocative concepts. A+
  19. actually from my zipcode it cost $4.85 for priority up to 1 lb in the U.S., but I add delivery confirmation always.... That's strange. According to the USPS site $4.60 is a flat rate. I just shipped a package to New York, which is about the farthest domestic distance I can get from here, and it was $4.60 What is your zipcode? I'm just curious to see if there is a discrepancy. You should print priority labels online through paypal or www.usps.com, they include delivery confirmation for free (and only $0.18 for media/first class).
  20. The majority of those "sellers" are the ones which saw the TV commercials with overly-happy soccer moms working part-time from their computers and making $10,000 per month by "going to this website". When a gullible person goes to "this website", they sell him a special guide "how to become eBay millionaire overnight" and one of the best tricks and hints in the guide is to shaft product price into the shipping cost... it is a psychological trick just like "$0.99 no reserve auctions" so people will feel going for a bargian, while in the end they will pay a lot more.
  21. I have a suspicion you are shipping from a 3-rd party service (grocery store, shipping center) and they overcharge you. If you ship directly from USPS office the rates are as follows: One CD with jewel case in bubble envelope via 1st class international is $4.50 (very seldom it may go to $5.40 if the weight is over 5oz - mega-fat booklet of over 20 pages, etc.) USPS priority rate in the U.S. for up to 1lb is $4.60
  22. I feel the buyer's pain, but if the sellers are making a living on eBay, they DO have to consider the time, materials, etc. That's why there is a handeling portion associated to the shipping cost. Time is money after all, and if a seller doesnt consider a proper compensation for the 5 minutes he will be spending filling customs forms and packing the items, he will be starving pretty soon. Not to mention the eBay and PayPal fees, which are big part of the equation and NEED to be considered by the seller. Having said that, such mark ups idealy SHOULD be included in the item's price, but given the eBay's nature it has developed as a practice. As T-bone said it doesnt really mater if you buy a CD for $5 with $5 shipping, or for $2 with $8 shipping - it will cost you $10 either way. Nevertheless, the wast majority of the buyers WILL prefer to buy the $2 one, and this is exploited by the eBay sellers.
  23. Good for you Del. I just dont care for feedback anymore, nor I look at it, coz I dont buy from eBay anymore, except for some supplies always from the same sellers. Plus I dont sell much on eBay these days either, as it turned out way much profitable for me to sell my own releases through my website and distributors, and save on eBay fees. So my philosophy is very simple: I leave feedback only as a response to buyer's. I never e-mail anyone to pester them "hey, where is my fedback, you post first, bla-bla" I just post feedback to everyone who had spent time to post for me, if they dont, then I dont too. I dont even bother checking out and keeping thrack who has posted and who not. There was a time in the beginning when I posted first as a seller, but after getting two moronic feedbacks I reverted and am happy with the outcome ever since.
  24. eBay will probably do a zit about it. You should always follow the golden rule - NEVER leave feedback first!
