Wow, hold on! If Lon's claim that Ramierez bros had hijacked his paypal account is true, how could he use the account for placing 4 (FOUR!) orders from NEH? Something smells fishy here... The key question would be, were those orders placed before January 13-th (when Lon started taking preorders), or after. I'd find it very hard to believe in the Ramierez story if Lon has been shopping around using his paypal after January 13-th.

Bootleg warning
stormspell replied to stormspell's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
Okay, here are two from me: 1. Sonic Age online store carry quite a lot Greek bootlegs - they call them "later editions" 2. Forgotten Steel seller on GEMM I have seen some eBay sellers to carry this stuff, but I dont remember names on top on my head. -

I'LL TAKE ONE. PLEASE REPLY NOW. Sure, I'll give you a very nice discount too. Please SEND $100 NOW! -
I can say whatever I want to, and I have all the right to do so, coz despite of you I do run a small indy label and in a long run you probably screwed me as bad as everyone involved! You obviously cannot take responsibility for what you have done and even simply apologize, so make everyone a favor and just begone! and dont spend all the money at one place! Oh yeah, fuck you too!

White Eagle - Bustin' Ass Bootleg?
stormspell replied to IronSaviour's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
Well, if someone is adventurous enough to buy such an indie from a Peruvian seller, they are going to get exactly what they are paying for - BUSTED ASSES . Anyway, this CD has been the most overhyped CD on eBay recently, with bootlegs clocking at $500+ Pure mystery to me, I wouldnt pay more than $10 for the original anyway. -
Ouch! 4 people above for the total of $350... Lovid did walk away with some serious cash after all... I have the sick feeling that if Lovid wanted and had good intentions he would have refunded everyone long time ago. As said previously it takes just a click to refund, even if you have withdrawn the cash into your bank account. Oh, and please Lovid, dont come up again with the "Ramierez had my passwords and withdrawn the cash" bullshit... be a man and give the stolen money back... then again, calling you a "man" is probably the most diametric thing to what you are... ugh.

Hurricane: Over the edge - Greek bootleg?
stormspell replied to Ali Rock's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
It is a Greek bootleg yes. Do a back-serch in this section of the forum and you will find a thread with huge list of all current Greek bootlegs I've posted sometime ago. Hurricane, Banshee, Roko, Skagarack, Paganini, Force 3, Mesisah Force, Vanadium, and more, all duped. P.S. Here it is http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=11580 -
Oookay, I see a lot of people asking if he got arrested yet. Well... this is not some TV drama, so I dont think he's going to get arrested anytime soon. The only way to get arrested would be if the band and/or someone else sues him AND he gets convicted. Somehow I doubt this will happen, unless there is someone really adventurous to fork out thousands for attorneys in hope to recover whatever lost in preorders... So Lovid is okay, and will even walk away with some cash to spare, in my opinion...

BrianJ and Christine both mentioned that they had gotten some form of refund; just curious, are they still showing as "pending" or did they go through? Mike I think Lovid refunded several people with small preorders with the leftover money he probably got locked in the paypal account (assuming one can refund while the account is locked) or he just initiated manual echeck refunds - hence the pending state. In either case it is quite clever move coz those people announce they got refunds and give hope to the others, while he clears all the funds from his bank account and walks away undisturbed. Unless PayPal majorly steps in somehow (which is unheard of) I dont see refunds coming, hope I'm wrong.

The only true story I'll take would be "sorry guys, I tried to rip you off and get away with it" - short and simple! In truth, I dont care much really why he did it or whatnot - greedy little people do stupid things all the time. When such thing happen you can only try to distance yourself as farther as you can from such people and carry on. The ONE thing, however, I'm not going to forgive Lovid for, is the huge negative impact this scam will have on the trading society, and speciffically on the small honest indy labels which do work with the bands and try to pull legit re-issues at their own cost. For this alone he deserves a crushed kneecaps with a bat. Nuff said

He had to, coz Georg had posted the warning info already on AOR Heaven site. So Lon tried to beat him up and came with the "accident" story, which did held for awhile actually. Maybe because no one suspected him and felt necessary to contact the bands. I for one never for a second thought it could be a scam. Some people obviously had back thoughts, but never shared a word in the open, so it went unnoticed. I personally am amazed that no one complained about the preordering price of $17.99, but then I did not complain either, although it is a very high price for an indy re-issue in my opinion (especially on preorder when one would expect some courtecy discount). I can only hope not many people actually did preorder (I'd be VERY surprised if he got more than 200 CDs preorder total), but still the sole fact he skinned Georg for $5000, Adriano for $1000, Sam for 50 CDs, Jarred for $160 shows he walked away with some cash, which is very disturbing and wrong.

Well, seems there is a person called Lonnie Holdaway in Blytheville, AR. There is an info on classmates.com he attended high school there in 1984-1988 which sounds about correct age. Also, this link: http://fuelmypain.com/modules.php?name=New...e=article&sid=3 , there is a "contact Lonnie" link in the text someplace in mid-page, which links to his e-mail address (lrc72315@sbcglobal.net). It is not clear from the page if this is a past, or upcoming event (there is a copyright©1998 note at the end, but it could indicate the establisment for this online service). In any case there are some phone #s in the bottom of the page that can be followed. P.S. oops, sorry, I see Mike has beaten me up to this info already.
