  1. I live on the east coast and can see the sea from where i'm sitting. If there is an easterly coming in the wind chill can be vicious. Last week the ambient was around 10 degrees but the wind chill halved that easily and it's supposed to be spring. It was nice yesterday though.
  2. Me too, if i could hibernate i would! anything below 15 degrees and i'm not interested
  3. That's a good cover, like it. As an avid F1 fan i knew who Nicole is because she was bumping uglies with Lewis Hamilton for a fair while
  4. He's not really mine either but my mate knows i love rock and bless him he thinks this might slip in to my taste somehow.
  5. Form Wikipedia: Anthony Gomes (born May 14, 1970, Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian blues and blues rock guitarist and singer. He was born to a Portuguese father and a French-Canadian mother. After his 1998 debut album release Blues in Technicolor, he began touring the United States and Canada and he has since recorded eight more albums. Gomes resides in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, playing a fusion of blues with rock and soul, and with the Anthony Gomes Band has toured North America and Europe.[ He's released 12 albums. All in a range of blues rock styles. The track above is the only one that stood out in any way to me and i'd not heard of him before until a mate, who is a big blues fan, lent me a load of his CD's to try. So no he's not someone anyone on here should know. Just throwing it out there in case...
  6. I was thinking Hawkwind but Wikipedia states they've had 43 members with Dirty Looks on 44 if i've counted right. That is bonkers!
  7. You've only got 5 or 6 years on me and i don't feel old I was born a bit too late, i only caught the tale end of the era when i was old enough to properly enjoy it.
  8. I loved Wanted Dead or Alive when i first heard it all those years ago and still like it now but that could be a nostalgia thing. The worst album has got to be What About Now. It is absolutely shocking. It's so bad my missus likes it!
  9. That just makes me wonder how old you are
  10. Bought and watched that a few weeks ago. It wasn't what i was expecting at all and took a bit of getting my head around it but still very good
  11. The first track, Turn It Up, from Anthony Gomes latest album is worth a listen. It's a got a great groove going on and a nice riff working through the chorus. Unfortunately the rest of the album doesn't really live up to that first track.
  12. AC/DC - I've never been a fan of Brian Johnson so for me it would be Highway To Hell Judas Priest - Painkiller Guns n' Roses - Appetite Motley Crue - Dr Feelgood? Kiss - Classic era i'd say Destroyer. The 80's kiss resurgence how about Crazy Nights. Metallica - ...And Justice For All Van Halen - It's most likely 1984 Queensryche - Has to be Operation Mindcrime
  13. I'm with you on this one i think. I used to put Keep the Faith on just to hear the solo on Dry County!

Bon Jovi – We Ain’t Strangers Anymore – Lost Highway - 2007 I think a lot of how that list developed was my music taste changed quite a bit in the mid nineties but returned in the mid 00's so i caught up with everything after Keep the Faith then
  15. Actually i lied, i have two tracks in my favourites list from Lost Highway so it's only The Circle and What About Now that in my opinion don't have a single strong track on them
  16. I've been reading back through older threads on here and it got me thinking. There are a lot of opinions on a lot of music on here but has anyone picked an artist and discussed when their absolute peak was? Bon Jovi seem to divide opinion a fair bit. So when do you think their peak was? 1992's Keep the Faith? earlier or later? I keep a list of tracks i've liked on first hearing and Bon Jovi have songs on it from each album up to Keep the Faith but it definitely tails off from then with only the odd track up to Bounce and then nothing since then.
  17. Andrea Ross - Moon River Anthony Gomes - Blues In Technicolor Anthony Gomes - Sweet Stringing Soul Anthony Gomes - Unity Anthony Gomes - Long Way Home Anthony Gomes - Music Is The Medicine Anthony Gomes - Anthony Gomes Live Anthony Gomes - Primary Colors Anthony Gomes - New Soul Cowboys Anthony Gomes - Rebel Blue
  18. I can't really disagree about the hardware being good. I just can't bring myself to own anything made by Apple. I was forced to support their kit for a while and it gave me nightmares for months afterwards
  19. Interesting, i'm on my second Zune classic since 2006 but that's only because i dropped my original one down the toilet by accident a couple of years ago. I bought my wife a new model about three years ago but she stopped using it when she got a car with a USB port a couple of years ago so i have it as a spare now. Battery life on all of them have been great. Maybe i've just been lucky. I used the software as my main music player for years and agree it has some limitations and glitches which is why i moved on to Media Monkey. I still add my music in to both software package databases though so i can sync it to my Zune. I don't see an alternative because i can't stand iTunes which has to be a strong contender for the worst designed software ever!
  20. My cousin is a massive VH fan and loves DLR. I've never rated DLR and was pleased he left back in the day. You should of heard some of our Hagar Vs Roth debates over the years. They were long, animated and by the end inebriated It doesn't surprise me to hear Diamond Dave is awful on this release. I doubt he's ever been much better! I once saw a VH tribute band somewhere a long time ago, i've been wracking my brains trying to remember when and what they were called but it's just not there anymore, and they were really really good. Far better than real VH. I should've recorded the gig somehow!
  21. Heard my first Helloween tracks over the last few days. The only reason i queued them up was the hype i keep reading about the Keeper of the Seven Keys. I did however like Where the Rain Grows from Master of the Rings and the track above isn't as good as that so it sounds like they've tailed off a bit since then,
  22. That sounds promising. I've liked stuff from most of their albums. I favourited: 1. Hardcore Superstar – Liberation – Bad Sneakers and a Pina Colada – 2000 2. Hardcore Superstar – We Don’t Celebrate Sundays – Hardcore Superstar – 2005 3. Hardcore Superstar – Don’t Care ‘Bout Your Bad Behaviour – Beg For It – 2009 4. Hardcore Superstar – Illegal Fun – Beg For It – 2009 5. Hardcore Superstar – Sadistic Girls – Split Your Lip – 2010 6. Hardcore Superstar – Last Call For Alcohol – Split Your Lip – 2010 I didn't think much to the last one so going back to an earlier sound is probably good for me
  23. Interesting, i wonder why that is and how many people actually know that My favourite song so far is still 1000 miles but i haven't heard Address the Nation yet
