  1. It does sound quite a bit different from CDG while maintaining that trademark TREAT sound. CDG just had better hooks, better beefier guitars, and just better songs. As good as GOG is, I'd still take CDG every day and twice on Sunday! Agree 100% AlphaMale. Really good album, but next to CDG not even close.
  2. So aside from if the disc is actually any good or not, the ones I still play on a regular basis are.......... 2. Work Of Art - Artwork 4. Hinder - Take It To The Limit 11. Marcello/Vestry - s/t 12. Harem Scarem - Hope 20. Safety Suit - Life Left To Go And why the hell was Eclipse not on my list???? I still play 'Are you ready to rock' on a pretty regular basis. So revised top 5 - 1. Work Of Art - Artwork 2. Hinder - Take It To The Limit 3. Eclipse - Are You Ready To Rock 4. Marcello/Vestry - s/t 5. Harem Scarem - Hope Yeah, good luck ever playing that Whitesnake album again. How the hell on earth did you fool yourself into putting that into the 3rd spot, above a bunch of great albums? Apart from how average it is, it has the replay value of a horseshoe. I LOVE the Whitesnake!!!!
  3. For me the 2 Erik Kill the first 2, and I play them all the time!
  4. Some Excellent albums in 2010, but based purely on spins / replay value here's how it would change - 1. Crashdiet - Generation Wild 2. Vega - Kiss of Life 3. Degreed - Life Loss Love 4. Crazy Lixx - Bad Religion 5. Pretty Maids - Pandemonium 6. First Signal - s/t 7. Treat - Coup De Grace 8. Steve Lukather - Alls Well......... [didn't even make my list!!] 9. Reckless Love - s/t 10. Hardcore Superstar - Split You Lip Obvious omissions there are Terry Brock (never play it) and HEAT - since the advent of Erik I hardly ever play the first 2 albums!!! It's "New Religion"
  5. I am still waiting for my hard copy, listened to the free dl from amazon 1 time. Not bad but I really enjoy and soak in an album when I read along with the lyrics.
  6. They have "The Look", lets see if they have the sound!
  7. Yes, Dokken for sure. I have to think about this.
  8. Yeah but nothing like he used to sound which is what we are discussing! I understand. But NO ONE sounds "as good" as they did 25-30 years ago. The ones on my list are the ones which are still close. Really close Christian is not close. Not by a long shot. Of course your list is correct! I think James still sounds pretty damn good!

  10. Nope, seen him 3 times. Sounded great to me!
  11. Out of curiosity who do you think are among the 10% that still sound as good as back in the day?Maybe Ronnie Atkins? Johnny Gioeli? Davy Vain? or Jeff Scott Soto? Out of those 4 only JSS.......As much as I love Ronnie Atkins his voice is basically shot live. Others who are close to how they sounded back in the day (and who I have seen live within the last few years) - Jack Blades Terry Brock Dennis Churchill Dries Paul Laine Steve Overland Joey Tempest Danny Bowes Harry Hess Danny Vaughn Eric Martin John Waite (possibly.......although not seen him live to prove that point??) Anyone else pretty much forget it. James Christian
  12. I love Inferno =9,Non Stop Madness=8.9, & Don't Miss=8.9
  13. Yes, Age said that in a facebook post, can't wait!
  14. In no order First Signal Tango Down Sunstorm Ammunition Ted Poley
  15. 'A life to die for?' It's not that bad. It does start out sounding like it could be 'We are one' Part II, but I actually like it plenty by the time the full chorus hook is given time to flourish. For me, the song I'd replace would be 'Heaven can wait.' Not an awful song, but the most nondescript kind of average tune on there. I really like Heaven Can Wait. Breathless or I'm Not Runnin' would be my pick to switch.
