Nancy's edges it, although a bit heavy on the covers. Both good, both different
-
Hmmm... doesn't sound great, but i'll wait to hear the full album before I comment further. I'm a little with Glen on the Perry comment, although 'Trial By Fire' was very good, and 'Arrival' and 'Revelation' were both strong albums with Augeri and Pineda.

Autograph bassist, Randy Rand, passes away
Jez replied to Captain Howdy's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
Randy was the last original member. Very sad news. Autograph were one of my go to bands back in the day and 'Sign In Please' remains one of my favourite ever albums. I was very fortunate (for an English bloke, they rarely play over here) to meet him when we played the MORC cruise back in 2020. A very amiable, cool guy. R.I.P Randy -
Oh Yes please!!

'Never Gonna Make Me Cry' is definitely the high point and a superb version and the rest, bar a couple of fillers, is very very good too.
-
A 'project' album on Frontiers? well I Never This lineup does interest me somewhat though tbh.

Got my copy yesterday so been spinning since. Very good as always

Been spinning this one all week. A varied album style wise with some truly outstanding songs and that brilliant voice being the icing on the cake. One of the best of the year so far
-
The debut album from 1980 is one of my favourite debut albums of all time. This sounds very different to the Pompy/ Hard Rock style of the debut, but sounds like prime time 80's AOR...A Very pleasant surprise and a great intro to what hopefully will be a great album.

Good song, great vocal.

As much as I love their 80's output, 'Dreamhunter' and 'Organized Crime' especially, the later 4 discs are so much more 'My Thing' nowadays and the ones I go to first. Obviously the songwriting is great throughout their career, but it all sounds so much bigger and powerful when played back to back with the older stuff.... definitely a case of improved production methods overall. Much the same as with all the Pretty Maids stuff, where I go for everything from 'Wake Up To The Real World' first.

Bar the average Ozzy cover, a fabulous album
-
It's not their best song ever, but it grows on you the more and more you play it. The new album is on top of my most looking forward to discs this year. I know the boys won't let us down.

This is fast becoming my favourite Treat album ever.
-
I wasn't expecting anything like the debut, 'Subject' or 'Twitch' to be honest, but 'Free Your Mind ', 'On The Way To The Psycho Ward' and especially 'Burn Like The Sun' I quite enjoyed. The rest were a bit hit and miss. There are 15 odd more tracks to come on the full album, but after most of these, i'm not holding out a lot of hope.
-
Soilwork are a bit hit and miss, but the 'Verkligheten' disc is great and definitely my favourite they have done thus far
-
More than 10, but couldn't miss any of these out. Some have changed quite a bit over the years, but 7 or 8 have been my favourites for as long as I can remember. I listen to a lot of Prog, so had to include as well Toto Cheap Trick Saga Saxon Pendragon Cats In Space Marillion Queen Lordi NFO Kim Mitchell Pink Floyd Rush Bruce Springsteen Treat Robby Valentine Pretty Maids UFO

Enjoy the exploration..there are some fantastic albums to be found. Let me know your faves
-
Both albums are absolutely rock solid, but Generation edges the debut.
-
Will definitely be looking into this one
