  1. First full length in nearly 20 years and they managed only 9 new songs? 2 of the 11 are covers.
  2. Funny Century Media releases that new official audio on the day of Geoff Tate's Operation Mindcrime's new CD release.
  3. from 0dayrox2: http://0dayrox2.blogspot.com/2015/09/ugly-kid-joe-uglier-than-they-used-ta-be-2015-full.html * Finally it happened; raucous hard rockers from Isla Vista, California UGLY KID JOE will release a new full-length album titled "Uglier Than They Used Ta Be" on October 16 via Metalville / UKJ Records. This is their first full-length studio album release in 19 years, so I was eager to hear it and the first thing to hit me was the maturity that they have gained. Yes I know we are all older, but this album is Ugly Kid Joe of today. The angst and anger is still so much present in their lyrics, but age has seasoned this band beautifully. Opening track ‘Hell Ain’t Hard To Find’ showcases the heavy funky riffs that UKJ are well remembered for, and has my head nodding back and front all over. Whitfield Crane’s voice still has that soulful edge to it, as he tells us his story of seeking and finding something different. Second track ‘Let The Record Play’ is a great twist on a relationship breakup, by comparing the emotions to an old record back in the day. It will strike a chord with everyone who has had that bad ending, but retains a great upbeat melody. It’s one of those songs that gets stuck in your head, and a highlight from the album. ‘Bad Seed’ has a great gritty bass line + an aggressive riff, and tells us about a person’s inner turmoil and struggle to fight back, while ‘Mirror Of The Man’ is a slower laid back track, but with dark lyrics observing the state of people’s attitude towards the state of the world today. ‘She’s Already Gone’ brings the tempo back again and as the title suggests it’s about a relationship ending, all told via a sharp, heavy guitar riff. ‘Nothing Ever Changes’ will delight fans with just Whit’s vocals and a soft subtle guitar. It's a great song and another favorite. ‘My Old Man’ brings a much heavier guitar with the first guest appearance from Phil Campbell (Motorhead), however it's one of the more melodic songs here. Typical early UKJ, and I love it. Phil also guests on the next track ‘Under The Bottom’, another stomper of hard rock heaviness pretty much like Skid Row 2015, and of course on the cover of Motorhead’s ‘Ace Of Spades’, a correct version coming up next. ‘Enemy’ is another slow melodic track, not exactly a ballad, just that type of atmospheric tunes UKJ does so well. The final track is another cover, ‘Papa Was A Rollin Stone’ with special guest Dallas Frasca. It's cool, but I think it was not necessary. After 19 years of silence album wise, "Uglier Than They Used Ta Be" contains all of what was and still is Ugly Kid Joe. From the dark undertone to the lyrics to the funky heavy beats and delicious acoustic numbers, it has it all. Production is excellent, not strange as guitarist Dave Fortman has become one of the most requested producers lately (he has worked with bands such as Superjoint Ritual, Slipknot as well as on both of Evanescence's multi-platinum selling albums). I for one think it was well worth the wait. Highly Recommended. 01. Hell Ain't Hard To Find 02. Let The Record Play 03. Bad Seed 04. Mirror The Man 05. She's Already Gone 06. Nothing Ever Changes 07. 4. LIVEWARE - Unity (2015) from BANNED WEBSITE: http://0dayrox2.blogspot.com/2015/09/liveware-unity-2015-full-bonus-tracks.html * Hailing from Oer-Erkenschwick, Germany, six-piece LIVEWARE are presenting their new album "Unity". The band was formed five years ago and seems at the beginning they were quite progressive oriented, something you can hear in a couple of long songs here, but basically these guys play elaborated melodic hard rock. Indeed Liveware has many characteristics typical from progressive acts: pretty technical, precise instrumentation, clean arrangements and meaty solos, but their music is clearly focused to catchiness. Excellent choruses, bouncy rhythm section and candy-floss keyboards / synths in the Scandinavian style are prove of that since opener "Through My Eyes", a 'all hands in the air' anthem which despite its 7 minutes never lose the grip. Singer Niko Koslowski, despite his little accent is that kind of 'driving' vocalists which invites you to sing-along. In the middle of the track guys offer a short (clever, as it works great) piano / guitar interplay turning the song even more interesting. Follower "All I Need" is another winner. It rocks like a H.E.A.T type of song, uptempo and pumping, but much more elaborated with a nice vocal arrangement towards the end. A highlight. With "Live Again" arrives the ballad, however not your ordinary mellow tune. It's plenty of harmony vocals and unmistakably melodic rock in its bones, but elegantly adorned with keyboards and sweet guitars with essence. There's some early Winger when they used to add a light progressive touch to the proceedings. "A Touch To The Quick" is a 'song format' melodic rocker, perhaps the most direct on the album but tremendously effective. Then "Far From Heaven" shows Livewire's neo-prog side, melodic, with punch and some memorable passages. It's a long composition, flowing easy and entertaining. Purchasing the physical CD, you have two additional tracks digitally; the excellent "When Winter's Gone", a mid-tempo number at places melodically 'dreamy', and the poppy "Dreams Of May" which in a fair music world would sound awesome blaring out of the radio. Liveware has surprised me: "Unity" is record which deserves to be heard by everyone; it has melodic rock, neo prog, some hard rock groove, and essentially; very good songs. Very well produced by themselves, "Unity" is a really, really strong CD ready to rise some eyebrows this 2015 in the Melodic Hard / Neo Prog community. Don't miss these guys. Highly Recommended. 01 - Through My Eyes 02 - All I Need 03 - Live Again 04 - A Touch To The Quick 05 - Far From Heaven 06 - Dreams Of May (bonus track) 07 - When Winter's Gone (bonus track) Niko Koslowski (lead vocals) Christoph Martinetz (guitars, backing vocals) Andy Kohaupt (guitars) Lukas Martinetz (keyboards, piano, backing vocals) Max Kettler (bass) Matthias Martinetz (drums) BUY IT ! www.rockpuppe.de/store/product_info.php?info=p154_liveware-----unity---cd.html YouTube: .

He tells Glide Magazine in a new interview: "The project that is on the table right now is possibly a DOKKEN reunion, but of course that comes and goes every couple of years [laughs], so who knows. But we're talking again about that." According to Lynch, if a full-blown DOKKEN reunion doesn't happen, he might record a new album with former DOKKEN bassist Jeff Pilson and STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet. He says: "[A collaboration with Pilson and Sweet has] been on the books for a while but it's just the logistics and the time constraints. Jeff is in FOREIGNER and very, very busy. Michael Sweet has a lot of things going on. And to make things more confusing is Michael and I did the SWEET & LYNCH record, which kind of precluded Jeff and I and Michael from doing a T&N record [the project featuring Lynch, Pilson and DOKKEN drummer Mick Brown], which is essentially the same thing, only without Jeff. [Laughs] There's only one degree of separation between those two bands. I'm even getting confused. [Laughs]" Don Dokken and Lynch appeared on VH1 Classic's "That Metal Show" together back in May of 2010 in hopes that a reunion of DOKKEN's classic linep would follow. Despite their efforts, the reunion never happened and Don went forward with DOKKEN's current lineup. In a recent interview with The Washington Times, Don was asked what he and George fight about, Don said: "I finally realized what it was all about when we played a reunion tour of Japan in 1995. It all started again: him playing with his back to the audience. Every time I talked to the audience, he would make these little noises with [his] guitar like a child. I said, 'What is the problem? What can I do to make this work?' He pointed at the 20-foot backdrop hanging behind that read 'Dokken' and said, 'That's the problem. The name." He continued: "It's my name, but it's also the band’s name. Nothing you can do about it." All the members of DOKKEN's classic 1980s lineup reunited on stage for the first time in more than a decade on November 29, 2009 at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California. Don Dokken appeared on stage and said he had some friends he wanted to introduce. Pilson and Lynch joined Mick Brown (drums) for a two-song encore of "When Heaven Comes Down" and "In My Dreams". Gary Matthews | 32 comments STURGIS, S.D. - Fire crews have spent a good portion of Tuesday mopping up from a massive fire that destroyed the Full Throttle Saloon east of Sturgis. All that remains is smoldering rubble of the building that became engulfed in flames just after 12:30 a.m. Tuesday. Crews from the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department were among the first to respond and find smoke coming from the roof of the structure. A passer-by reportedly informed the clerk at the Kickstart Convenience Store across the highway of smoke coming from the building. Sturgis Assistant Fire Chief Shawn Barrows says crews tried to get inside but heat and smoke forced firefighters to battle the blaze from the outside in heavy winds. Crews worked diligently to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures – including the convenience store across the highway. The building was completely on the ground by 3 a.m. Barrows says there were no injuries. That includes the bar’s mascot – a donkey named Emmitt, who was rescued from the blaze. Fire crews called in tenders from Piedmont, Vale, Newell, Whitewood and Fort Meade because of the lack of water on site. Flames were intense at the height of the fire, forcing fire crews to temporarily close Highway 34 in front of the burning structure. The bar, owned by Michael Ballard, featured such amenities as zip lines, musical stages and rental cabins. It was the subject of a television reality series, although there have been no new episodes since 2013. It’s not known if Ballard will rebuild, and if so, if it will be in the same location. His Full Throttle Saloon has been in its present location since 1999. Ballard has also started a liquor business he’s been working to make famous. A distillery on the property was destroyed by the fire. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
