  1. Electric Boys - My Heart's Not For Sale
  2. This offsets the shitty weather outside. I'm excited.
  3. Happy Happy Birthday, Where all Your dreams come true. I celebrate your Birthday, So I can PARTY, too!!
  4. Your wish is my command: 1 - Deathwish - absolute killer opener with an amazing chorus - 9.75 2 - Shut up and rock - cheesy, but huge and just crazily excellent - 9.75 3 - Love nightmare - great big commercial rocker with a house-sized chorus and delicious heavy verses - 9.50 4 - Forever - perfect melodic rock - 10.00 5 - Holdin' back for nothin' - killer hard rocker with another explosive chorus - 9.25 6 - I've got you - sappy, cheesy ballad, but so appealing, and I love the momentum build up - 9.25 7 - Rockin' all night - great fun rocker hard rocker - weakest of the CD, though - almost modern Poison-ish - 8.25 8 - Scream it like you mean it - killer modern hard rocker with another gigantic hook and chorus - 9.50 9 - Skate or die - killer tune - corny lyrics but an otherwise perfect song - 9.50 10 - Innocent blood - solid hard rocker with a musical outro which blows my mind - 9.25 11 - Sleepless nights - killer song which is basically a perfect melodic hard rock song - 9.75 - - TOTAL SCORE inc Songs, Vibe, Production etc. (%) - 94% If there's fillers on a deluxe version with bonus tracks, I missed that one. But on my copy there's nothing but sheer perfection. I get that everyone doesn't agree with me at all on this, but this is what I listen to music for. Apart from our preference to having Matt in the middle, Geoff and I will probably never be in agreeance moreso than in the matter of this disc. I find no faults anywhere.
  5. 21 Jump Street - This was hilarious! I hate to admit there are now two Jonah Hill films I like--The Sitter being the other. The Woman in Black - While this might be the most by-the-book gore-free supernatural horror film, it uses the tried and true methods so well. The audio was fantastic. I couldn't help but jump, even though the jumps may have been so predictible.
  6. Shit, those two are incredible. John Carter - Very cool. Unfortunately this bombed in the States, so there probably won't be any sequels. Cabin in the Woods - Another cool film. This one's a mix of genres. I watched a shitty cam, but I think this one's worth buying; it's a f**king Joss Whedon film.
  7. Chronicle (2012) Holy shit! This one's good! It's another found footage film about three kids that develop telekinesis. Very well done. The end is about the closest we'll get an American live-action Akira.
  8. You are most certainly wrong, fortunately. I don't believe there is a filler anywhere on this album. Each time I listen to this it just grows stronger.
  9. Put everything that is said aside, this is simply a poorly written piece--very immature. I'm not saying its stupid, which it may be, but it feels like a fifteen year old wrote this.
  10. I've found these episodes streaming for free online. MTV's site for the States, Much Music for Canada, and I'm certain there's a site streaming these for you blokes across the pond.
  11. it was never going to be, but c'mon, '10,000 Reasons' is one of highlights isnt it? Yes it is one of the best songs on the disc IMO. Really I like them all but haven't picked favs yet but am pleasantly happy that this is as good as it is. Sure it's not Double Eclipse and it never will be 20 years later and with only 1/5 of that lineup but for 2012 it has be a top 5 or 10 album by year end I'd think. Honestly, and I understand I might be attacked for saying this, I can see myself liking this one more than Double Eclipse, eventually. It's so damn good! I'm thoroughly impressed.
  12. So far this year it's been pretty clear what is good and what is not. Not sure about that one, mate. Isn't this the same year everyone was raving about that Van Halen garbage? Hopefully everyone's come to their senses by now, but I've seen quite a few other differences of thought this year. For the record, my faves of the year would be BBABH, HEAT, Peepshow, Baby Jane, Hit The Lights, Safetysuit, Sunstorm and JSS. For me, Halestorm and Shinedown are both very middle of the pack for me. Halestorm seem to have c*nted themselves for me with the first 4 songs on that CD. Should have cut all 4 and included the 3 bonus tracks instead. How does one "c*nt themselves"? I can imagine it to be very graphic. However I can easily see the pleasure in getting c*nted, I for one enjoy it when I get c*nted once in a while, it puts a bounce in my step for the remainder of the day. Can we get this thread stickied? This shit is hilarious!
  13. Series isn't finished over there? I'm pretty sure it's not being renewed.
  14. Sounds interesting, but I think I'll check out their "actual" releases. I don't like "best of's."
  15. There are many classic rock bands I used to listen to, but I find kinda boring now. The main one being U2. I also don't bother with Guns N Roses or Van Halen, anymore.
  16. So far this year it's been pretty clear what is good and what is not. The bands you mentioned are all getting high approvals, however other big names are getting mixed reviews at best such as Tyketto, Trixter, Great White and Wig Wam. I'm still hoping that the best of 2011 hasn't yet been released....an end of the year surprise like the Magnificent was last year would be great. My faves of 2011 are all over the place in rock styles: H.E.A.T. (Melodic Rock/AOR) Shinedown (modern rock), Van Halen (classic Hard Rock), Paradise Lost (Doom Metal), Dragonforce (Power Metal), Dynazty (Melodic Hard Rock) Jeff Scott Soto (Melodic Rock/AOR) and Blessed By A Broken Heart (A combination of all the other bands I've mentioned, they are hard to pigeon hole with such a variety of musical styles within one release) So, what about your faves for 2012? I knew Canada was in a different time zone, but I thought it was 6 hours behind London not 6 months... DAMMIT!!! I still forget my age as well. It took me a few years to get on with 20 and not 19 when writing the first two numbers in a date. I shouldn't laugh. I do the same thing. Everytime someone asks how old I am I say, "I dunno. 23, or am I 24? What year is it?" Time flies!
  17. Very disturbing movie in my opinion.. I'm not into horror movies, but this quickly became one of my faves..Looking for it on dvd as we speak. I asked around, but everyone I spoke to, never even heard of the flick.. It is consider the best of its genre (found footage), and I'd have to agree it was very well written and acted. I don't watch a lot of horror, because they're usually too unbelievably ridiculous.

  19. I'm hoping to get tickets to John Fogerty. Shows tend to sell out ridiculously fast over here.
  20. You ladies find a way to get this to the rest of us?
