  1. Breakbot "I wonder what KarpetRydOFunk considered his favourite album of 2012," said no one ever. But here it is anyway. Breakbot is a French Nu Disco DJ signed to Ed Banger Records which is home to many other French DJ's, most notably Justice. There are many artists that play a style of Nu Disco or Electro-Funk or whatever you wanna call it, but no one quite does it like Breakbot. I believe that is because most other artists lean more towards the Electronic side, while he tries to sound as organic as possible. If you have any appreciation for Funk/Soul/R&B, I encourage you to give this a try. I can't quit it. Fantasy ft. Ruckazoid One Out of Two ft, Irfane (This is a cool alternate version for the video I didn't know existed, until now. I'm gonna have to get it. This post has already paid off) The Mayfly and the Light ft. Irfane Baby I'm Yours ft. Irfane (This is also a slightly alternate version than what's offered on the album. A few of these tracks he released as singles over the years, and this one he touched up for the album. The bass is much more clean on new version. I decided to give you the video, however, because people like videos. ) Another Dawn ft. Irfane Why ft. Ruckazoid (Hands down my favourite track of 2012, let alone this album!) A Mile Away ft. Irfane Well, there you have it. This might be outside the comfort zone for most of you, but I think this could also be a very nice surprise for a couple members. My #1 album of 2012. Breakbot. By Your Side. Not that you care.
  2. Really? Does this fit into the genres of this site? Yes. And stop whining... Whining? The hell you talkin' about? I only ask, because I've played his songs often enough in church, and I never would have considered him to be AOR. He must've changed up his sound for this record. He he, did I hit a nerve...? Sure it belongs here. Lite CCM AOR: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pkWrvCZDHA Alright, I guess that belongs here. And, no, you didn't hit a nerve, I'm just curious if I really come off that way.

  4. Honestly that sounds like hell When you're a courier jumping in and out of the car all day, lower temps would be appreciated. But you take the good with the bad in summer. Ideally I'm happy with 25-30'C every day, but this year seems to be more 35-40'C. I'm just so happy to be done with winter it can basically do what it wants and I'll love it while it lasts. Had a nice storm this afternoon and it'd be in the low 20's now, which will make for a pleasant sleep tonight. BTW, the gauge actually hit 49'C about 3pm this afternoon. Pretty f*cking crazy. I wish I could convert the temp C to F. I'm going to assume that is pretty hot Damn that is over 120F...you can keep it...I'd rather have 2 feet of snow and -20C.... I'm with Geoffery, I love the heat. It's about the only thing that suggests that Australia might not be a bad idea. ;}
  5. Are we gonna need a new smilie?
  6. Damn, that is a phreaking awesome background! I'm gonna have to pay you a visit.
  7. I listened to it for a short while last week, and it wasn't really Hard Rock, just Classic Rock. Was I early/late?

  10. The vocals don't bother me at all. I've said it before, I usually like accents. They typically add a bit of flavour; however, Italian vocals generally kill it for me. But this is great!
  11. Yeah, I noticed that, too. By the way, Dan, I'm liking the "samples" bar on the right.
  12. Work of Art - In Progress You know that moment when an album just clicks? I had heard this album a few times, before, and I knew it was good, but I've been listening to it almost non-stop lately, wondering why I haven't spun it more in the last two years. Simply stunning. Oh, and on "Castaway": Ken Tamplin much? Or am I stoned?
  13. A lot of the films you post I will probably never watch, but I love to read your reviews.
  14. I'm sorry to hear that, Terry. How's the transition been going, by the way?
  15. They're not gonna blow your skirt up, but I thought they were pretty solid for an indie power-pop/punk band. For someone who's so quick to drop his skirt, there aren't many releases that really blow his skirt up.
  16. "Woman Enough" or "Who do you think you are?"? Yes.
  17. I always forget this was released in 92, despite it being one of my all-time favourites. I never grow tired of it.
  18. That's a bold statement. Made me think of Alias.
  19. Haha, depends on a lot of things. A c*nt's a c*nt wherever you are and will more than likely be treated that way anywhere. Normal people will be treated normal and as I understand it, Aussies are generally quite friendly. That said, if that cliche type of loud, obnoxious American who is sure the world is revolving around him steps onto the scene, he will not win fans anywhere, not just Australia, I suspect. And sadly, they do exist. Honestly, not really met many Americans but far as I know the ones I have have been nice people. All up to the individual, though, I guess. No we are all loud, obnoxious, think the world revolves around us(doesn't it) and most of all arrogant, all things I believe the Aussie women will love, but I am working on my Aussie accent, hopefully by the time I visit, I will have it down, and nobody will no the difference, until after I nail them, then I will quickly convert back to my american voice(since we dont have accents) and split the scene, you should be ready Geoff, since your helping me, dont think im ever going to Sydney without dropping in on you, id have to be a bloody fool mate. Just keep watching those Crocodile Hunter reruns, and you'll be fine.
