Thanx for the tip... will check them out. Never tried that site before. Just for giggles I checked the discs out on CM Distro too, their prices on'em are comparable with The End's, but they must be on Christmas vacation or something...the site sez anything ordered today will begin shipping on January 12th... screw that! *EDIT* Just checked Divine Metal Distro and it looks like they've got the best price so they'll be getting my $$ for these bad boys... thanks again for the tip, KarpetRyd! the end is on vacation too until jan 5. Divine distro a very reliable place to get them from. I recommend them over radrockers/girder and like. You wont be disappointed with the cds either. Great stuff!

Driver by far....the FoB had Rob Rock's voice mixed way too low. I also did not think the music on FoB was all that great. Gotta back up what Alex said. Driver destroys Fires of Babylon like a Tyranosaurus Rex destroying a helpless herbivore. Both bands serve up the metal, but Driver does it waaaaay better. Fires of Babylon, in addition to not properly utilizing Rock's vocals, suffers from banal songs. I would gladly pay full price for Driver, but wouldn't take Fires of Babylon even if it was free. I have to agree. But I think the Original Driver EP has more charm than Son of thunder and there are other versions of warrior that is much better than the one on Son of thunder. well you can kinda tell where the original driver material ended and new stuff starts. There are so many versions of Warrior I cant keep them straight anymore Alex

Theocracy - new album & new Christmas song..
exact3 replied to phaffas's topic in Christian Rock and Metal
The debut album is one of my favourite albums... not a band for everyone, but definately for people into the creative side of melodic metal bands like Edguy, Stratovarius, Avantasia etc... The amazing thing about the debut was it was really a 100% solo project... I really must order the 2nd album asap. The first album was very good, IMO, but not great (although many would disagree). As a singular effort from one person, Matt Smith, it is simply incredible, however. Hopefully the new members will add even more variety and energy to the mix. At first listen, I like the samples from the new one better than the s/t. it is a lot better than the first and l really liked the first. the new one is very engrossing and highly entertaining... Let me know what you think. I thought it was good but not great. I was disappointed by it. Mulder looked ancient and the movie felt like a really long episode. Fight the Future was a much better effort. Alex

I got Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull for Christmas... Alex

Theocracy is brillant. great stuff. I also love the odds and ends songs they do (the spoof of St Anger was awesome!). Alex -

i saw too that michael is saying it is more melodic metal oriented this time around hearkening back to their more classic stuff. I dont know. I have to wait and see. I have heard that line before that this or that cd is a return to the 'classic' sound from other bands and it turns out to be a snoozefest... Alex

I am looking forward to this. In This Life was a great effort. Alex

I dont know about that... I would Saint before either of those 2.... Alex Never heard of Saint. What/who do they sound like? a comparison is judas priest though not as good as priest. Their website with sounds on all their cds is at: http://www.saintsite.com/ I really like In the Battle, Too Late for Living and Times End cds. I would start listening with those... Alex
-
I hope they dont get back together. Most of those reunion band albums really dont turn out to be any good. Believer might be the only exception to that rule... Alex
