  4. Well, Not by Christmas.... Saw this on Blabbermouth, says in April it should be on DVD..... 'Get Thrashed: The Story Of Thrash Metal': More Screenings Announced - Oct. 12, 2007 The makers of "Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" — the much-anticipated documentary profiling the thrash metal scene of the early Eighties and its impact on the music scene — have lined up the following screenings during October: Saturday, October 13 at 9:30 p.m. Long Island Big Fish Film Festival 222 Pettit Ave, Bellmore, NY $9.00 *Director Rick Ernst in attendance Thursday, October 25 at 8:30 p.m. Slab Cinema at La Tuna 100 Probandt (and Cevallos) San Antonio, TX *donation – this is a fundraiser to raise money for an operation to remove a brain tumor from the daughter of a longtime volunteers of the San Antonio Underground Film Festival Friday, October 26 at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, October 27 at 6:30 p.m. Barcelona International Music Documentary Film Festival Aribacau Club 2 (Gran Via des les Corts Catalanes) Barcelona, Spain Tentatively due for release on DVD in April 2008, "Get Thrashed: The Story of Thrash Metal" traces the rise, fall and impact of thrash metal, an extreme style of heavy metal popularized in the early 1980s by bands like METALLICA, MEGADETH, SLAYER, ANTHRAX, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES and others. It is the story of the heaviest, hardest music of the '80s and early '90s as told by the bands that lived it, the fans and bands that grew up on it and by the artists that carry the "thrash metal" flag today. The documentary throws new light on an overlooked, yet incredible music scene and how it went from a simple rumbling in the underground to a loud, obnoxious and constant roar in the (almost) mainstream. The documentary is produced by Saigon1515 Productions in association with Kundrat Productions. "Get Thrashed" was directed by Ernst and the documentary's associate producer is Rat Skates, founder and former drummer of OVERKILL. Here's the Trailer for this DVD....
  5. Hahaha, shit, I forgot all ABOUT that!! You're right! We watched'em film part of "Ghostbusters 2" on a very COLD night in NYC many years ago... and nope, I've never been able to find us in the background of that movie either... odds are the director saw us and went "cut those two ugly metal dudes out" and we wound up on the editing room floor. Yea, probably.... Hell as I recall You and I were Bored out of our skulls, and broke one night, SO We decided to hop the Ferry and walk around lower Manhattan, just for something to do, and look what We found????
  6. Killer stuff. When I was in high school they shot scenes for "Class of Nuke'Em High" at one of the churches in the town where I lived, my friends and I went over there and hung around watching'em film all afternoon. For all I know I'm in the damn movie, but I've seen it several times over the years and I've never been able to pick myself out in the huge crowd of people. Maybe I oughta look and see if a widescreen DVD of that one is available? Yea, kinda like You and I are, sorta in Ghostbusters 2, right?? I have looked and LOOKED in that movie, and I can't see either of Us Man..... Funny video too.....

I wouldn't watch either of the remakes either... ALOT more blood and guts.. SO of course I LOVE them...... And, Fiddler on the Roof?? Good stuff, really..... Had to listen to that in Grade school, still remember most of the songs too......

  17. "ON Through the Night" - Def Leppard
  18. Meh, this one's OK but I dunno if I'll bother seeking out more Metalium. With a lot of these late 90s power metal bands, one disc is really all you need cuz each subsequent one sounds like the same album with different song titles Yea I was feeling the same way Myself.. But I took a chance, and picked up their second album.. Man am I Glad I did, as I like it a whole bunch more than their first album.. But, that's just Me too.....
  19. Dude I got this when it came out back in the late 90s?? It's pretty good.. But, look for their other stuff.. It gets better with each album they put out.. I think they matured a bit on their second album, Definitely worth a listen.....
  20. I went with Germany.. cause They have spawned ALOT of really GOOD Metal bands.. Primal Fear, Helloween, Gamma Ray, Kreator, Tankard, and etc... However, Sweden/Netherlands comes a close second.. Tied with the good ole USA......
