  1. Excellent song, it was the Japan bonus track I believe. If anyone is interested you can download it here at Hard Rock AOR heaven Blog, as part of a Japanese bonus tracks compilation. http://hardrockaorheaven.blogspot.com.au/2009/09/aor-treasures-japan-bonus.html
  2. Yeah just search for 101 South, there's a topic from back in 2009 that will explain all. But Andrew sums it up nicely above.
  3. RM place on Heavy Harmonies has been debated many times before and I think you'll find quite a few fans around here (some fellow haters as well). But there's no doubting he's made some VERY high quality AOR records in his time.
  4. Well in that case I'd be happy to check this out as I know Gregory is a talented guitarist and musician in general. :-)
  5. Excellent news. I hope it's a little more easy to get hold of than his last dual album release which I had to get direct from the RM website...got ripped off with postage as I recall. Love all of his releases and won't miss this one for anything.
  6. I have no ill feelings toward this guy and I'm really pleased to see him put out this album. However I will first be checking to see if Roger Scott Craig has any part on this. Back in 2009 I said I would never support anything that RSC is affiliated with and I stick by that comment still today.
  7. Anyone who wants to sound like Def Leppard can go right on ahead I say. But yeah I know what you mean, sometimes you think why don't I just listen to Def Leppard instead. Anyhow, Loud Lion and Grand Design are both really cool bands IMO.
  8. Hey Terry do you mean war babies from Seattle? Which band were they? I did. Ruff Justice. No Brad Sinsel however... Ah cool. I recall really liking that War Babies CD.
  9. Oh yeah Seven..excellent band. And yeah I've heard of Stingray too.
  10. Andre who are some of your fav south african bands? Can you tell us some of the bands you speak of?
  11. Hey Terry, awesome pics, thanks for sharing :-) Plenty more to come from me later in the week...just been busy with studies these past few weeks :-\
  12. Love Brian Howe, always thought he was a great singer and writer. I really hope that's not the album cover...
  13. Good band, I have a couple of their discs.
  14. I have to agree with most, no album is worth 100%...it's just not possible. Personally I don't rate albums because I just don't have time these days but love Geoffs idea of having all his music rated...
  15. Bring it on...sounds perfect to me :-)
  16. Sorry Geoff, I usually post these gigs on here when I hear about them but to be honest I didn't realise these guys were coming until a few days before the show. There's nothing else I know of at this stage. I mostly get emails from ticket companys or promotors to let me know...guess I've just joined a few mailing lists over the years.
  17. Heard this song on a classic rock mag cd weeks ago. Have to say I wasn't all that impressed, it sounds to me like nothing original and just trying to emulate an old babys song. Im a big fan of all of john waites projects though, everything from the babys through to bad english and his solo albums. Will definitely give a new babys album a listen despite beigh a little put off by this new single.
  18. Saw Skid Row and Ugly Kid Joe last night, in Brisbane. UKJ were excellent...great set list and every bit as funky as I remember them. Skid Row were much the same as when I saw them last. Solinger didn't seem to be able to scream like he used to though. They played 'in a darkened room' which sounded awesome. Had to leave a bit early but overall it was a great bight.
  19. it is a tad safe in places but an enjoyable album none the less. Yeah safe is a good way of putting it. Still, a solid first album and and a vocalist who fits this style of music very well. I will give it more spins over the coming weeks.
  20. Just finished playing this one. On the whole a good solid release and I really like the vocals. I must admit I was expecting a bit more roar from this though.
  21. I could be wrong but I believe "Spectres" was the name Poison went by before they moved from Pennsylvania to L.A. Dude in upper right pic looks like Rikki Rockett to me, dude in lower left looks like Bret. Ahh ok thanks man. So was Spectres before Paris or the other way around?
