  1. Ya the AStros ckoked badly. My Yankees looked decent on Thursday : ) ....Waiting for the shots (cringe)......
  2. And to make it clear, I like Sam. Talked to him for awhile at Rocklahoma years back, cool guy, and bought and I am pleased with wis label releases. Mike
  3. A bunch of problems with these: 1. They are cdrs ( I have some). 2. There is some cool music but they are cdrs. 3. They are bootlegs and the sound quality in some is not very good. : ) Find someone who has a bunch and throw them a little cash to send you the music if that is what you are after. Mike
  4. Welcome. It is a great site for just about everything. Mike
  5. Good music but that is just crazy. For vinyl yet. Scary
  6. kinda looks like the phil collins look of the late 80's : )
  7. I thought it was typical of them. I love half the songs, half are just ok. Makes it easy to combine it with their last cd for one crackin compilation though. M
  8. Seriously though, this seems all too staged. Vivian complains, Collen is a major dick, Vivian gets booted whip di do. Anyone could play those guitar parts. Vivian got money (a lot I am sure) over the last 20 years. He should have gracefully exited unless he needed to be fired to get out of a contract. The egos in that band over their career is astounding. You would think after listening to them they deserve sainthood. Makes me gag. I am a fan of the band, but Elliot has seen better days. The last 4 years or so have been a huge let down on a steady decline since the 90's. My 2 cents
  9. Maybe the major announcement is that Joe Elliot and Andrew at mr.com are buds now and Joe is the new Godfather of his children : )
  10. I think Ultranite was of but I don't really get into too much high tech aor type stuff. It is pretty soft and very average IMO but everyone has their own tastes. Mike
  11. No Brainer for me. GENESIS Pure class mhr with many influences of all types. Some killer killer tunes. Listen to Silver Rainbow, Mama, Domino, etc. IO like Phil era better though, I am sure I will get blasted for that one. Mike
  12. oh also Dave Baldwin of Tradia and other stuff was the singer on the 3rd cd mentioned in the header.
  13. Thsi release was different than their first 2 with a different singer. Half is very strong, half is decent. Production was weak though, very muddy I thought and I do not have a sonic ear. Their first 2 are solid aor/mr but a the first which I really like is softer than the others. My 2 cents, Mike

    Bonfire

I liked the first 4 tracks, then I think track 8 and 9. The rest were very plain. So 6 is still a decent grab for me. His voice has lost something that is for sure, the harmonies and chorus parts on the tracks I liked are still vintage. Worth checking out if you are a fan. Mike
  15. Alas, my flu ridden memory has failed me. Their are only 2. Sorry Mates. This one was by far the best as well. Mike
  16. I like it as well. I have their other 2 cds as well I believe, possibly for sale for the right price They have a dokken ish sound to them at times as well.
  17. Just to let people know, the Pyromania band that was pissed was in Southern California. The picture above is from them, they do sound very good. At one point they had a lot of live songs for download. Their singer is Michael Omara of Talon, Mpire, VFX etc. He is one of my favorite voices actually and seems to be a pretty cool guy based on trading email for awhile years ago. I guess they make good money and have a good following. The play the Hard Rock Cafe in places too. Thats cool for a tribute band I guess. Just thought I would add info. Mike
  18. Wubby, Steve Chams from the 'The Crystal Project' here... YES, 'What I'd rather be' is one of our tunes. We're looking forward to the Retrospect Release. Here's links to our ReverbNation and Facebook sites. www.thecrystalproject.com www.facebook.com/pistol93 Thanks for the props. Stay in touch! ~chams That is great news. I have looked for songs from you guys for ages. Look forward to the release. Keep me posted. Mike
  19. CRYSTAL PROJECT -- also known as CRYSTAL PISTOL but changed their name due to confusion with the Canadian band. This will be a 2 CD set of all their material recorded in the late 80's / early 90's. This New York based band are simply unreal. One of the best AOR releases on Retrospect to date. Wait til you hear this one!! I have a song from a band Crystal Pistol from a comp titled What I'd Rather Be. Great song, wonder if its the same band. Mike
  20. MArk Weitz also sang on the Ramos cd years back although I was quite disappointed with that release. Eyes - Full Moon has some great tracks and vocals on it from Mark. What Americade release does he sing on? I also never new he sang for Malmsteen, the onnly Mark I thought did that was Boals??? Mike
  21. HI guys, I have the US version of this cd. I now know their are different bonus tracks on the Euro, JAp, and Brazillian issue of this cd. Egad, can anyone help with some bonus tracks please? Mike
  22. Honestly, my 2 choices would have been Talisman and Vanessa (Kharma). If you ever hear the Vanessa demos, he sounds brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great voice but lowered his singing for quite a few years until recently started hitting higher notes again.
  23. Love the band. Loved Jump the Gun first spin through. solid cd.
  24. This is a good cd for the style it is. If it isn't your cup of tea, that is ok too. It is good glam like tuff with better vocals.
