Yep, both NFO and BF mentioned in this thread, and I agree with both comparisons.
I don't
not fit to tie either of those bands bootlaces
Don't like the vocals, and about 3 good songs of which Moment of Truth was by far the best

You have to wonder in our current "woke" society if SP is treading water to see if they could survive the onslaught from the message Schiller's if they dropped another Fat Girls or the like.
Regardless, I'll be looking for what comes next. Will I be a little disappointed, probably.
no, I think they just ran out of ideas

Did you download Hell Or High Water?
yeah, sorry was mad busy over weekend.
It's very STTG.
Good for what it is but can't see me becoming a massive fan of SR again on the back of this release.

What if the two covers are the filler? Would you still call it an album with no filler?
the covers do not even register with me. I have no need to hear Beat It, again, ever.
Thanks

I'll check it out but 8 tracks doesn't leave room for filler

Have heard the album and it sounds great to me. And not bothered at all by tick...tick..boom. I've found it catchy and stuck in my head.
Maybe I just was never overly into Skid Row so I'm not that bothered by all that happened with Bach. They were on a downhill trend with him anyways if you ask me as Subhuman Race was putrid. And for my tastes, this new album, while not better than the debut, is way better than Slave to the Grind for me . I have 4 songs from Slave in my main playlist (Monkey Business, Quicksand Jesus, Darkened Room and Wasted Time) and I'll have more than that from this album.
Overall, I feel like if you have been "meh" on the singles, you'll feel the same about the album. Personally, I've dug the singles and dig the album.
It'll likely be in my top 3 this year.
I can't actually remember the last time I played the first 2 Skid Row albums - stuff like 18 & life and youth gone wild bore me now.
Was cool when I was 19 but not now 😒
I'm with Alpha to a degree, not really feelin the new songs but I'll give the album a fair listen when it's out - imo Erik should have stuck with HEAT - his talent is kinda wasted in Skid Row and the old fans will never truly embrace him imo.
But I'm happy for him if he makes a few bucks from the gigs

sad what's happened to this band

Ed Sheeran must still be leading the way. Shape of You has 3.2 billion streams.
Even based on the worst projection per stream that is about $10M for 1 song
-
the main reason is these are all included jn their playlists which everyone plays at parties, bbqs etc etc
You search a rock playlist those songs are in there

I saw them supporting Bon Jovi in 2006 and thought they were pretty good live.
I bought Silver Side Up in 2001 when I was still stranded in the wilderness with no Internet and before the resurgence of HH styled bands
But none since
