  4. Reissue from 1990, now available through FnA Records. From FnA Records: We never won any awards and tours were limited as some of us were in and out of jail during our peak!! And we loved every minute of it! Who is YoungTurk? We were just a fun band or so we thought trying to write the best songs we could with frankly the limited skills we had at the time!! We had no real message at the time - we were really just writing the best we could - it was an amazing time that at that point held endless possibilities. What is a YoungTurk? YoungTurk we had read was a group of ruffians in Europe back in the day - the name seemed to fit us. When? Basically we all dropped out of high school to start the band. There was little going on in Miami. Rock City Angels had moved to LA…So it was Young Turk and Nuclear Valdez (the first band to get signed out of Miami in the late eighties) that ruled the scene. Where? Miami!!! Miami!!! Miami!!! Why? It’s all we know – Rock-n-Roll…We had the world by the balls! Our band lived together, fought together.....might have been the best days of our lives according to some! Do You Know Where Your Daughters Are? Hard to believe that this album is what got our career started! We had recorded this album when I was 15 - I weighed about 100 pounds! I packed 100 eps on a commercial flight from Miami to NYC to attend the new music seminar. Thrash didn’t exist neither did rap for all intents and purposes - both coming to a boil. As a I was going down the escalator while attending the new music seminar I bump into Carl Canedy. We also happened to walk into the brawl between east coast west coast that is documented in Straight Out Of Compton. That album had been recorded in Miami with a $2,000 budget…it had five songs on it -- we were just learning how to write songs. That album scored our deal with Carl and led us to do our first full length album. The guys in the band were myself, Rick Diaz, Bill McKelvy and Monte Hess - together we made one ok musician with a huge amount of ego and a hell of a lot of balls. Train to nowhere This would be the album that would get us signed to Virgin Records. We had just signed to our management team. And were excited to start recording! So much so we showed up two months early to the beautiful Bear mountains in the town of Cortlandt. We rented a small cabin in the Bear mountains; there we would proceed to write the songs that would eventually make it to the record. We would go to the city to pick up weed and other essentials - and would trip the days away into what we turned into our own version of the 60’s. I would write the title track there on the front steps of the cottage in what would be our first local hit “Train To Nowhere”. As the months rolled by and we finished the record we called Carl and told him we were here in Cortlandt. We had arrived a month early and hadn’t realized we were supposed to have landed in a town called Cortland not Cortlandt We were a few hundred miles away. In reality the album would end up being recorded in Utica New York. So commenced Train to nowhere. Tracks: 1. Biscayne Boogie 2. Disinauguration Day 3. Under Cover Lover 4. Ms. Satellite 5. Take A Chance 6. Tequila Sunrise 7. You're Gonna Cry 8. Who's Gonna Stop The Rain 9. Sophisticated Lies 10. Love Me Like A Suicide 11. Sometimes 12. Party Time 13. Just Keep On Running Away 14. Take A Chance (Daughter's Version) 15. Winter Nights 16. Calling For You
  5. Originally released through Suncity Records in 2010, this re-release from FnA Records contains 6 bonus tracks: From FnA Records: In a time not so long ago, in a galaxy of leather, lipstick, guyliner, and lace… Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll-it was all there in abundance. From an enigmatic front man, awash in groupie-adorned excess, who nearly died after an accidental drug overdose, to a guitarist who battled his own demons and was at odds with the sudden and immediate glory of success that was thrust upon him and his band and felt he had to get out. This is a story of wasted youth, not wasted in the classical sense, but in the sense that the rewards thrust upon the overnight heroes of a local glam generation are sometimes too much for any one group of young men to physically and mentally withstand. The lyrics to the band’s Z-Rock chart topping anthem, “Wake Up The Neighborhood,” could have easily been “Grab Yourself A Line And A Joint” rather than “Grab A Bottle Of Beer,” would it not have caused the song to be banned from being played on the radio. But, with the tragedy of chemical and physical excess there also comes the glory and this is also a tale of rock and redemption. A tale of conquering hometown heroes, set on the streets of a metropolitan city that was begging for something different. There is no denying that Priscilla deserves their place in the footholds of eyeliner addicts and glam junkies the world over. Few bands have emerged onto the arena of rock music and immediately garnered the mass attention of audiences, critics, and radio stations alike, that Priscilla did when they exploded onto the scene, from their somewhat unlikely industrial hometown of Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland was, at the time, breeding such artists as Trent Reznor and his act Nine Inch Nails and band of an altogether grittier nature than the polished and made-up look that would be Priscilla. Going against the normal grain that Cleveland had come to accept from its musicians at the time, the five members of Priscilla tucked themselves away in their rehearsal studio and would take the time to craft a carefully thought out and calculated selection of three chord power progressions, largely influenced by the underground glam movement that was taking place at the time on the Los Angeles Sunset Strip by artists as diverse as Motley Crue, Hanoi Rocks, T. Rex, Kiss, and even bands that one would not expect such as power pop bands The Baby’s, Starz, and The Raspberries (influences which can clearly be heard on the band’s slightly softer side on such cuts as “Broken Angel,” “Stay With Me,” and “Just Can’t Stop”). The group had a master plan that would be assured to get and keep audiences on their feet. Taking months to properly demo their glam opus in the in the studio with producer/engineer Sean Beavan (Guns N’ Roses, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, No Doubt, Depeche Mode, Kill Hannah), the band’s music, upon its initial release immediately caught the ears of nearly every national record label in America. Whether you loved them or hated them, Priscilla was a band who could not and would not be ignored. They turned the music world on its collective ear with their instantly recognizable sound and catchy brand of power pop, razzle rock. Several chart- topping songs, “Wake Up The Neighborhood,” “Lick N’ A Kiss,” and “Love In Action,” on American satellite hard rock radio station Z-Rock (with a listenership of millions and broadcast from coast to coast). This was further proof of the band’s magnetic hand on the pulse of the nation and only made the national labels want them more. It was at this early point in the band’s career, with the speculation of a major record deal becoming imminent and with word on the street already turning Priscilla into major hometown heroes that caused Brad Slitt and guitarist Mike Koloda, already veterans of the culture of excess, to celebrate once more to exorbitance. At a party, alongside members of probably the greatest known motorcycle organization in the world, Brad once more took things to another level, which lead to a nearly deadly drug overdose. Thankfully, his life was spared that bleary-eyed evening and the group would go on to conquer music halls across the country. Not wanting to rest simply on their musical laurels and only the songs that they had to offer, Priscilla took a cue from some of the greatest and most colorful glam and theatrical bands of their time and literally burst onto the concert music scene amidst a blaze of colorful looks and catchy hooks. The band devised an altogether new way of presenting themselves and began work on an elaborate set with stages unlike anything that had ever been presented on a smaller venue. Priscilla wanted to showcase their material to their audiences in a setting worthy of attention and did so with a three-tiered stage show that had before this only been reserved for stadium and arena acts. With their magnetic and energetic live shows, the band made believers out of even their harshest critics and won over audiences near and far. Even with all that in their favor, there was darkness at the end of the band’s tunnel. Potential record deals eventually ran dry due to poor executive decisions made on behalf of the band and internal dissension had also reared its ugly head among band members. The group emerged from their blaze of glory and enjoyed years of acclaim, usually only reserved for mainstream national acts until the grunge juggernaut began with its overthrow of the empire that had been glam rock. Even before that, singer Brad Slitt, whose drug-fuelled benders met with continued disdain and opposition from several of his squeaky-clean band mates, sensed that something needed to change. He had, by this time, made his way to the metal bars and rock clubs of southern Florida and at these clubs, crossed paths with a fledgling Marilyn Manson And The Spooky Kids (later simply Marilyn Manson). It was in part this ideology and vision to take a different musical path, that would cause Brad to return home and finally call it a day with his glam upstarts in Priscilla. In a final twist of irony, Sean Veavan, who had earlier helped Priscilla with their vision of a new power pop-infused glam concept In the studio and recording of their initial tapes, would end up becoming Marilyn’s producer/engineer/sound technician and would go on to help the shock rocker craft such goth/glam masterpieces as Antichrist Superstar and Mechanical Animals. And to further the irony, Tony Ciulla, a Cleveland club owner who gave Priscilla their very first concert on the stage of his then club Peabody’s Downunder, would go on to become Marilyn Manson’s personal manager. So as all good things eventually do, Priscilla had come to an end. But still, for a time the group were indeed the darlings of the underground glam and music scene. 6. This is re-released through FnA records as 'Love On The Rox'. Press release: Rage N’ Rox was a 1980’s rock band from Portland, Oregon that toured around the Northwest for many years and then recorded their first EP in the late 80’s. They played frequently at the world famous “Wave” nightclub in Waikiki, Hawaii and were featured on television shows and newspaper articles. The songs “Drive it in” and “How Can You Do it” were welcomed onto the radio in many cities and overseas. Given the early radio success the Rage N Rox EP enjoyed the group went back into the studio to record 5 more tracks and complete the album. The direction was a bit more pop/rock oriented in keeping with the changing market and brought the band more into the commercial arena. After the release of the full album Rage N Rox really hit the road hard. Although a major label deal fell through in the end, this dynamic group featured wonderful musicianship and a powerful stage show that drew large crowds and loyal fans for years. The original members continue to play music in various bands in the Northwest today.
  7. From FnA Records: 1986, ground zero EIGHTIES: a band is born. Out of the ashes of Hollywood mainstays HAVEN, drummer Todd Lane linked up with singer Kirk Samler, immediately forging a strong partnership that would prove unbreakable. Building on mutual life experience and shared devotion to the classic arena rock bands that inspired them, the pair went into the studio and cut the demo they would use to assemble NEWHAVEN, the band. They pulled in keyboardist and songwriter Mike Drake first, then Todd reached out to guitarist Danny Kane, who brought in bass player Ross Manzo and the boys were off and running. Starting on Sunday and Thursday nights at the world famous Troubadour club, NEWHAVEN rocked, promoted and hustled throughout ’87, eventually packing the venues on weekends, becoming a huge draw in LA. Personnel changes came in ’88, when Tim Kelly (Slaughter) assumed lead guitar duties and Robbie Crane took over on bass. The run got stronger and the buzz kept growing, with NEWHAVEN packing shows wherever they played. In ’89 Atlantic Records took an interest and put the band back into the studio, with the lineup consisting of Kirk, Mike, Todd, Steve McMaster on lead guitar and Glen D’mako playing bass. NEWHAVEN continued dominating the local scene and hit the road opening for the likes of Enuff Z Nuff, Dirty Looks, Tuff and Warrant, enjoying the ensuing camaraderie and mutual respect arising from touring and partying with their LA brethren. NEWHAVEN epitomized the raucous party on the Sunset Strip and we are proud to finally officially release this note-perfect document of 80s classic LA hard rock. 8. Press release from the band: Swedish melodic hard rockers Gathering Of Kings third studio album "Enigmatic" will be released on July 29th via RN Records. The album was mixed and mastered by award-winning producer Thomas "Plec" Johansson in Skövde, Sweden with Ron Dahlgren, Nina Dahlgren and Victor Olsson as executive producers. The songs was written and produced by Victor Olsson. Drums were recorded at Nordic Sound Lab in Skara by Mikko Viitala and Victor Olsson. The cover artwork was created by Markus Vesper, who also handled the art on the previous two albums. The album features a guest appearance from the Swedish pop group One More Time. Its members are the singers Nanne Grönvall, one of the most beloved and popular artists in Sweden, Maria Rådsten and Peter Grönvall, the son of ABBA's Benny Andersson, on keyboards. Their first single Highland, 1992, hit the charts all around in Europe. In 1995 they composed a song for the Swedish Melodifestivalen, "Det Vackraste" that won a grammy for best song of the year, and in 1996 they won the Swedish Melodifestivalen and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest with their song "Den Vilda", which ended in 3rd place. Gathering Of Kings are the successful project built by Ron & Nina Dahlgren, bringing together top musicians from the current hard rock scene in Sweden. The idea was to create an AOR/Melodic Hard Rock project/band like Tom Galley's Phenomena or even Tobias Sammet's Avantasia, with multiple vocalists and instrumentalists. Victor Olsson quickly became the main songwriter. The superlatives have hailed over Gathering Of Kings, which takes you straight back to the golden age of 80's melodic hard rock and it is without a doubt one of the hottest acts in Sweden, now with two critically acclaimed records in the bag and the third album, "Enigmatic", will be released in July. 10. Out June 24th through Metalapolis Records. Press release: KISS THE VYPER is Melodic Rock the sleazy way and the brainchild of Australian multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, engineer and producer Bobby Miller. He played in a few other bands like NOBODY‘S FOOL in the UK and DELTA 7 in Australia. But KISS THE VYPER is his main love where he can combine his vision of Melodic Rock with the street attitude of Sleazy Hardrock. Together with Corrie Antipatico (Drums), Rob Bodger (Bass), Deb Star (Backing Vocals) and the help from WHITE WIDDOW guitarist Enzo Almanzi and FROZEN TEARS keyboard player Jon Power he recorded the new album. The follow up to the well-received debut album ‘Keep The Fire Burning’ is a major step forward when it comes to songwriting and production. It still maintains hard melodic styles, but with a bigger production and catchier songs. Teaming up with a European label is the next step forward to show the world the KISS THE VYPER vision on Melodic Hardrock. Imagine a more dirty version of EUROPE, FOREIGNER or JOURNEY combined with the 80ies L.A. street sound of bands like PRETTY BOY FLOYD or MÖTLEY CRÜE and you will know what KISS THE VYPER stands for. 01. 12. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announced the forthcoming release of the latest Chaos Magic album, “Emerge” on June 17, 2022. Fronted by the mesmerizing Caterina Nix, “Emerge” is another stunning album of symphonic metal with hints of modern metal sewn throughout. For the new Chaos Magic album "Emerge", Chilean vocalist Caterina Nix once again collaborated with fellow Chilean musician, singer, and producer Nasson. Their musical chemistry has birthed an album filled with outstanding symphonic metal hymns full of catchy hooks, riffs, and bolstered by Caterina's stunning vocal performance. Caterina continues to show increased musical maturity with each new release and "Emerge" is easily her most realized musical offering to date. Her and Nasson's songwriting partnership has now been running for a few years now and that familiarity with one another's style shines through on the songs that comprise this album. South America has long had a love affair with heavy music and Chaos Magic's "Emerge" is a breath of fresh air in the symphonic metal scene.Additionally, Elina Siirala (Leaves' Eyes) and Mistheria contribute vocal and piano performances, respectively, to 'Garden Of Winter'. Caterina Nix is a superb vocalist from Chile, who was “discovered" by ex - Stratovarius composer and guitarist Timo Tolkki during one of his tours of South America. Timo was supremely confident in Caterina’s musical talent from the start and wrote and produced the first Chaos Magic album for her. Additionally, he had her perform on the second Tiimo Tolkki's Avalon rock opera album, "Angels Of The Apocalypse". While these two things brought Caterina more to the forefront on the International stage, she had already started her music career with the band Aghonya, who released their first and only album "Oxygen" in 2008. Caterina had written all the lyrics and vocal lines for the album, which was released independently and received rave reviews. The band would go on to open shows in Chile for bands such as After Forever, Edguy, and Within Temptation before disbanding. Caterina continued to work on music before eventually meeting Tolkki and starting her new musical journey with Chaos Magic. Line-Up: Caterina Nix – Vocals Nasson – Bass, Vocals Mario Torres – Guitar Mistheria – Keyboard Carlos Hernandez - Drums Tracklisting: 1. Emerge 2. Beneath Your Skin 3. The Impossible 4. Garden Of Winter (Feat. Elina Siirala) 5. Hearts Gone Dark 6. Beyond The Silence 7. Days Of Lions 8. In The Depth Of Night 9. Victims Of Our Heaven 10. When If Not Today 11. What’s Your Fuel 12. 13. 'Disturbing The Peace' out July 8th through Eonian Records. From Eonian Records: Indianapolis, Indiana - Over a year in the works, Eonian Records proudly presents HAILMARY ‘Disturbing the Peace.’ Originally recorded for Epic Records, Eonian Records was provided the original two-inch masters for remastering and collaborated with all five band members to put together one of our most impressive releases to date. In 1989, shortly after the release of their third album “Street Ready,” the legendary LEATHERWOLF and their "Triple Axe Attack" of Geoffrey Gayer, Michael Olivieri, and Carey Howe sensed that their rhythm section was becoming indifferent towards the band. The decision was taken by the trio to start afresh, and after acquiring the dynamic duo of Marco Forcone on drums and Patrick Guyton on bass, they continued to work and perform as LEATHERWOLF until legal issues arose with a former bandmate over the name. This rift caused the quintet to seek out a new moniker and feel the need to throw the “long-ball” into the end zone, the re-birth of LEATHERWOLF as HAILMARY was used as the launchpad to thrust the band into a new musical direction. With fists clenched and a relentless “take no prisoners” attitude, HAILMARY, would either live triumphantly or leave a hell of a scar trying. Calling Huntington Beach, California home, HAILMARY saw the raw energy from many of the new bands coming through as a refreshing change to the bombastic glitter of the eighties, but this outfit also had another weapon in their armory - a rabid existing fanbase. In fact, when the line-up of LEATHERWOLF that would go on to become HAILMARY booked their ‘return’ performance, the show at The Marquee Club in Westminster, California, would break records. Having put out mountains of fliers for the show with just the venue, date, and a line-up photo but no actual band name, when Geoffrey, Michael, Carey, Marco, and Patrick arrived on the day of the gig, they were shocked to see that the line to get in was wrapped completely around the building, five people deep. And that was only those who couldn't gain entry due to the sold-out venue already being overfilled to capacity. Amazingly, the amassed throng outside stayed to listen through the walls, and that night The Marquee ended up shattering its all-time attendance record, which had formerly been held by SKID ROW. With a fearsome live reputation, HAILMARY would regularly delight its fans at venues such as the world-famous Roxy Theatre, The Troubadour, Madame Wong’s, The Whisky a Go-Go, and of course, The Marquee, which was virtually their second home. When not thrilling audiences, rehearsing, or keeping the bar staff at The Marquee on their toes, HAILMARY could, of course, be found with a bucket of wallpaper paste as they plastered fliers for their upcoming shows all over town. And with the band highly respected throughout Orange County, which had long supported LEATHERWOLF, it was only a matter of time before they became regulars on KNAC Radio and local TV. With magazines such as BAM, Screamer, and RAW all getting behind them, all HAIL MARY lacked to take them over the top was that ever-elusive record deal. With a dozen A&R reps being regular at their shows, the five-piece entered talks and even went into pre-production with Epic Records and MCA. But with grunge acts becoming more and more prevalent on every label’s roster, both pulled the plug on HAILMARY halfway through recording. The band did, however, track multiple pro demos, including a development deal with Epic Records alongside producer Tom Fletcher and ‘E’ from For the Record. However, the breakthrough never did quite materialize in how their music was deserved, and the core guitar trio of the band instead reformed the much-loved LEATHERWOLF in 1999. Looking back now, it could be said that HAILMARY was ahead of its time, which may explain why it’s taken the best part of thirty years for this outstanding album to see the light of day. HAILMARY is: Michael Olivieri on Lead Vocals & Guitar, Geoff Gayer on Guitar, Carey Howe on Guitar, Patrick Guyton on Bass, and Marco Forcone on Drums. HALMARY ‘Disturbing The Peace’ Tracklist: 1. Mr. Keeper 2. The Way I Am 3. Media Lobotomy 4. Be My Suicide 5. This Kid 6. Friends 7. Killing My Dreams 8. Crush Of Love 9. D.A.D. 10. I Don’t Understand (Demo) 11. What’s Your Civilization (Demo)
