  1. New song 'Games We Play'. Not bad. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is pleased to announce the upcoming release of "Brothers In Arms", the new Sunstorm album, the second to feature new lead vocalist Ronnie Romero (Michael Schenker, Lords of Black). Romero’s debut album with Sunstorm, “Afterlife” was released in early 2021 and showcased a rejuvenation of Sunstorm's previous musical formula, mixing Melodic Rock/AOR with more '70s oriented hard rock, ala Rainbow (for which Romero performed as singer). That recipe is perfected on "Brothers In Arms" with new guitarist Luca Princiotta (Doro, Blaze) joining the lineup of Romero, bassist Nik Mazzucconi, drummer Michele Sanna, and keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio. Prior to the writing and recording of 2021's "AfterLife", in discussions with producer and songwriter Alessandro Del Vecchio it was decided that moving the musical style of the next Sunstorm album to the more melodic AOR sound of the early records was what everyone wanted. Romero, with his powerful vocal style, was the ideal fit to deliver the goods for the music. "Afterlife", the then new Sunstorm album, caught many in the melodic rock fanbase by surprise as it, for obvious reasons, arrived with a lot of history and expectations. But for his first foray into melodic hard rock territory, Romero delivered outstanding results on “Afterlife” and you are in for a threat on this new album which offers elements of the more melodic sound of Rainbow and Deep Purple mixed with the sound of Foreigner and Classic Melodic Rock. "To anyone who likes the brand of heavy and power metal frequently displayed by the likes of Jorn Lande and Magnus Karlsson, or anyone who likes their AOR bigger and heavier, this is made to order." - Sonic Perspectives "“Afterlife” stands pretty tall in its own right, and Ronnie Romero stands as tall as he ever has." - Metal Temple "I can't help but think that the addition of Ronnie Romero on vocals and a batch of songs that are both fast paced and melodically driven has helped to pump a new energy into the project. Afterlife shows that there is still plenty of life in SUNSTORM!" - KNAC.com After the warm reception to "Afterlife", it was quickly decided that a follow-up was in order and thus in the latter half of 2021 and into early 2022, "Brothers In Arms" was crafted. For those who enjoyed the previous release, prepare for another sonic delight! Tracklisting: 1. Brothers In Arms 2. Games We Play 3. I’ll Keep Holding On 4. I Will Remember 5. No Turning Back 6. Back My Dreams 7. Taste Of Heaven 8. Lost In The Shadows Of Love 9. Hold The Night 10. Miracle 11. Living Out Of Fear Line-Up: Ronnie Romero - Vocals Luca Princiotta - Guitars Alessandro Del Vecchio - Keyboards, backing vocals Nik Mazzucconi - Bass Michele Sanna - Drums
  2. Well that's nice. Now tell me how you REALLY feel...
  3. Press release from Pride & Joy Music: We’re excited to announce the signing of White Skies! White Skies is a UK based AOR band formed by former Samson/First Strike vocalist Mick White, former Ya Ya guitarist Ray Callcut and former Double Cross/Dante Fox keyboard player Pete Lakin. Just prior to the start of the pandemic in 2020 Mick and Ray (who were old friends from the eighties) had discussed the idea of writing a pure AOR album very much in the style of the giants of the genre Journey, Foreigner and Toto. As the world entered lockdown the writing process began and it was clear from the first couple of songs that they had a natural songwriting partnership. Ray suggested bringing in his longtime bandmate Pete as the songs were going to need a gifted keyboard player to really take them to the next level and the nucleus of the band was formed. The writing continued over the course of the next year with the tracks being honed down to twelve songs that the three musicians were satisfied were the best of the best they had written and the recording process continued in their separate home studios while the pandemic continued to grip the world. Finally the mixes were undertaken by Pete to painstaking detail and the album ‘Black Tide’ was completed in the Spring of 2022. The band’s debut album ”Black Tide” will be released on November 4th, 2022!
  4. New album 'Resurrection' out October 14.
  5. 'We Belong To The Stars' out September 19 through Frontiers. From Frontiers: Frontiers Music Srl is proud to announce the debut album, “We Belong To The Stars”, from Sweden's Ginevra, a new group comprised of vocalist Kristian Fyhr (Seventh Crystal), guitarist Magnus Karlsson (The Ferrymen, Primal Fear), bassist Jimmy Jay (H.E.A.T.), and drummer Magnus Ulfstedt (ex-Eclipse, Nordic Union). Ginevra came to be after Kristian Fyhr sent Serafino Perugino, Frontiers Records President, some songs he had written for consideration to be used on future Frontiers' label projects. One particular song, 'My Rock N' Roll' jumped out at Perugino and he asked Fyhr if he would be interested in fronting a new band that would craft an entire album in a musical direction illustrated in that song, which was substantially different from Fyhr's main band Seventh Crystal. The final results brought Ginevra's sound under the same big umbrella of excellent Nordic melodic hard rock like H.E.A.T, Eclipse, Crowne, and the like, but without necessarily sounding like those bands. Ginevra is hooky and melodic, but mostly heavier and more guitar/riff oriented than traditional melodic rock. Perugino thought that Magnus Karlsson, who contributed to the songwriting for the album as well, seemed the perfect fit to play guitar for Ginevra and when approached about participating, he was keen on the idea. With a powerful vocalist like Fyhr and a monster guitarist like Magnus Karlsson, whose resume speaks for itself, a top notch rhythm section needed to join the fold. Jona Tee, whom Frontiers has worked with as a musician and/or producer on releases from New Horizon, Crowne, and Temple Balls, recommended his H.E.A.T. bandmate Jimmy Jay for the bass position and he was the perfect fit. For the drum stool, Magnus Ulfstedt, who has played with Eclipse, Nordic Union, and Jimi Jamison, was asked to join the band and complete this excellent Swedish foursome. Kristian Fyhr first came to the label's attention with Seventh Crystal, the other band he is lead vocalist for. Seventh Crystal's 2021 debut album, "Delirium" was a real breath of fresh air in the melodic rock scene considering the band managed to acknowledge the traditions of the genre, while also bringing in modern hard rock elements. Fhyr has also contributed to the songwriting of recent albums from the label, including Giant's "Shifting Time". The pairing of Fhyr's vocal and songwriting talents with Karlsson's stunning guitar playing and songwriting has birthed something truly special and melodic hard rock fans can look forward to yet another gem from the ever fruitful Swedish hard rock scene. Tracklisting: 1. Siren’s Calling 2. Unbreakable 3. Apologize 4. Masquerade Feat. Chez Kane 5. Break The Silence 6. Brokenhearted 7. We Belong To The Stars 8. I’ll Be Around 9. Falling To Pieces 10. 12. 'Where Do We Go From Here?' out July 15. From MR Records: When Redondo Beach, CA based Jeff Prentice and Rob Nishida got together in the Summer of 2001, it was to create a new sound, based on what both musicians considered to be a nearly forgotten genre of music in the USA, Melodic AOR Rock. Both Prentice and Nishida felt that most new American music lacked inspiration, and wanted to develop a sound that was fresh, yet reminiscent of their favorite late '70's and '80's era of rock. With influences ranging from Boston to Night Ranger and Survivor, Prentice and Nishida wrote four complete songs on the first day they got together. Says Nishida, "We just wanted to write some songs that we could both enjoy. It was getting to the point where the only music I really liked to listen to was the stuff that I grew up with. We later realized that there were some great new bands producing AOR music on independent labels around the world, but the whole point of Jeff and I getting together originally was to create this new-old American rock sound for ourselves to get off on. As we started to refine that early material, some of our friends like Rob Johnson from the band Magnitude 9 started to encourage us, and gave us the confidence to keep writing more songs." With Jeff Prentice, lead vocalist and guitarist of the popular Metal Blade Records band Predator, and recently MP3.COM's most downloaded instrumental artist, handling the lead vocals and the majority of lead guitar duties, and Rob Nishida a multi-instrumental member of one of GARAGE BAND.COM's highest rated band of 2000 Weeds, playing bass, guitar and keyboards, the band's sound was quickly defined. About the lush background vocals, extreme guitar playing and hook-laden harmony guitars, Prentice says, "we wanted to take the elements we loved most about our favorite melodic AOR rock, somehow make it our own, and eventually create a band around that." After the duo wrote eight proper songs, they recruited drummer, Lance Tamanaha, formerly of the Hollywood based Triple X Records act Human Drama and banged out a demo. This demo quickly won critical acclaim with online magazines and generated label interest from around the world. The positive reaction prompted the newly christened Outland to record their first, full-length album Outland - Different Worlds in late 2002 andLong Way Home in 2004 both released on Avalon. Turn the clock forward to 2022, Outland have been back in the studio and completed a new album, Where Do We Go From Here to be released on MR Records. TRACK LISTING: 1. One More Time 2. Wrong Side Of Town 3. Lost 4. This Broken Heart 5. One Good Reason 6. Heart To Heart 7. Where Do We Go From Here? 8. Good Enough 9. Heart On The Line 10. Our Love Is A Lie 11. So Close 12. 14. Press release: The band is: Ben Green – Vocals Steve Newman – Guitar, Keyboards Dave Bartlett – Bass Toni Lakush – Drums THE CONCEPTION The Compass story began back in December 2017 when singer songwriter Steve Newman decided to write a few songs that musically would step outside the barriers imposed by many years writing for his own band Newman. This was to be something very different, liberating, both musically and lyrically, from anything he had created before, with the freedom to move across genres and not be pigeon holed within any particular musical style. THE BAND Part of this removal from Steve’s previous work would involve looking for a singer to bring these ideas to life. After a few auditions and a few calls in the latter part of 2018 Steve started talking with singer Ben Green about the songs and through these conversations the nucleus of the band started to take shape. David Bartlett joined the band in early 2019 and was a very natural choice, Dave being a member of the Newman touring band for the passed 9 years. with the addition of Toni Lakush filling the drum position the Compass band was complete. THE MUSIC A very eclectic mix pulling in influences from Dream Theater, Rush, Saga, through It Bites, and Pink Floyd. the band set about recording their debut album ”Our Time On Earth” which was subsequently released through Escape Music (ESM 342) in 2020 to great acclaim by the music press and fans of both the Melodic Rock and Metal genres. Gathering multiple 10’s and 100% reviews, Steve’s vision, and indeed the rest of the band’s was successfully realised in creating a bridge between these two genres of music. One of the greatest compliments being that the songs could not be placed into one specific category. High on the momentum from the first album, and also restricted to only studio work due to the pandemic Steve set about constructing songs within a concept for the second album. Compass are very proud to introduce you to the ”Theory Of Tides” a concept album based on the life, works, and inner turmoil of the famous astronomer and scientist Galileo Galilei. It follows in the Compass tradition of creating mindscapes both musically and lyrically taking the listener through a journey that encompasses Galileo’s life. ”Theory Of Tides” shows that Compass are a developing band and becoming even more in tune with each other as writers and performers. The musical arrangements and production also reflect this natural evolution. 1. Mountains On The Moon 10:59 2. Searching For Answers 6:35 3. The Assayer 8:08 4. Once In A Lifetime 5:17 5. Laws Of Nature Dialogue I : Fly To The Sun 7:36 6. Laws Of Nature Dialogue II : God Only Knows 5:25 7. Laws Of Nature Dialogue III : This Pendulum Swings 6:48 8. Theory Of Tides 6:31
