  1. From Eonian Records: Eonian Records proudly presents Copenhagen's BLOODY DICE. Known for releasing archived gems from the 80s and 90s, Eonian now has a brand-new studio album of genuine, old-school Hard Rock & Metal to unleash. BLOODY DICE is a good mixture of nationalities and genres. Guitarist Nickie Jensen, a native Dane, played in a modern Melodic Rock band called Violmace. Drummer Kenneth Olsen, also from Denmark, played in the Progressive Metal band Royal Hunt. Bassist Stuart O’Neill, who is British, was involved with Spanish-speaking Heavy Metal outfit Mal Costumbre. Vocalist Dagfinn Joensen, from the Faroe Islands, is probably best known for being the lead singer in the reborn Danish, eighties AOR/Rock band Fate. In a time where excessive use of autotune, quantization, and over-compression is the only “right” way to record, and most productions sound un-dynamic, similar, and colored using plug-ins and smart apps instead of featuring the core sound of the recording artist, BLOODY DICE want to take things in the opposite direction. The vision of this band is to play music the same way they want to hear music, with dynamics and “swing.” The mission is to bring back and emphasize simplicity and honest expression. “The music industry has moved too far away from its roots. The band wanted an honest sound, where music sounds like it is played by humans and not by machines. We want warmth and dynamics back and to embrace the imperfect and unpolished because that's what makes all the difference,” says vocalist Dagfinn Joensen. To accomplish this, the album was recorded by Producer & Engineer Flemming Rasmussen. Rasmussen has engineered and recorded numerous well-known Hard Rock and Metal albums, including 1981’s Difficult to Cure by Rainbow.Metallica then brought Rasmussen to work on their album Ride the Lightning (1984). The partnership continued through to the preceding two studio albums, Master of Puppets (1986) and ...And Justice for All (1988). Rasmussen won a Grammy for producing Metallica’s ‘One’ in 1989. BLOODY DICE has spent the last year or so writing songs and refining their craft in the rehearsal studio. Following the private album release party on May 6th, the band will hit the road supporting the new Eonian Records release. Enjoy the first single from the album entitled, ‘Bloody Dice.’ Also, watch for the band’s second single & video ‘Machine’ to premiere over the next few weeks.
  2. This was released last year and pretty good it is. From Andy Rethmeier's Youtube channel: A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away ... well not quite that far away, Hartlepool in County Durham to be precise, a band of rare quality was formed. That band was called White Spirit and after their debut single, "Backs To The Grind" was released on the legendary Neat Records in 1980, the major labels came knocking. They were eager to snap up a band that had far more to offer than the majority of NWOBHM bands that they were lazily bracketed with. MCA Records won the race to sign White Spirit and with a line-up of Phil Brady, Graeme Crallan, Janick Gers, Malcolm Pearson and Bruce Ruff, their self-titled debut album was released later in 1980 to great acclaim. A constant schedule of touring saw the band build up a large and loyal following, but changes in personnel saw Janick Gers join Ian Gillan, to be replaced by Mick Tucker. Toby Sadler took over bass duties from Phil Brady and Bruce Ruff made way for an unknown singer, called Brian Howe. The new and improved White Spirit entered the studio to work on their second album with then Gillan keysman Colin Towns at the production helm. Alas, the album was never completed, the band broke up and musicians went their separate ways. Mick Tucker joined Tank, later followed by Graeme Crallan. Sadler slid easily into Airrace. Mal Pearson stepped away from music for a spell before returning to action with legends The Sweet. Singer Brian Howe crossed the Atlantic and became frontman for Ted Nugent, before achieving mega platinum success as the replacement for Paul Rodgers in Bad Company. So White Spirit were seemingly consigned to music history, with former members proceeding to forge impressive careers built on this promising foundation. Four decades on and the location of these 2nd album sessions remained a mystery. Presumed to have been consigned to a skip, as was the fate of so many priceless mastertapes carelessly discarded over the years. The day following Brian Howe’s tragic death from a heart attack in May 2020, Tucker and Pearson were on the phone reflecting on those heady White Spirit days. The missing tapes were once more discussed, but still neither had any idea where to find them. Fate stepped in, and whilst preparing to relocate to France, Mal Pearson was rifling through his furniture in storage when he found a dusty old bedside cabinet. Inside were four sets of tapes. One labelled Chiswick Studios – White Spirit. This was it. The one they’d all thought was lost for ever. The tape was handed over to Conquest Music boss and Tank guitarist Cliff Evans. He arranged for the delicate and risky process of baking the tapes to preserve and retrieve the old recordings and transfer them to digital. Successful as the process was, the sound quality of some elements of the tracks were just not good enough for today’s ears, so Tucker & Pearson decided to replace all of the musical accompaniment with a stellar line-up of players. Neil Murray (Whitesnake) and Russell Gilbrook (Uriah Heep) made up the rhythm section, with the guitars and keyboards replaced by Mick and Mal. Tracklisting: 1. Right Or Wrong (lead vocals – Jeff Scott Soto) 2 .Runaway (lead vocals – Brian Howe) 3. The Dice Rolls On (lead vocals – Lee Small) 4. Lady Of The Night (lead vocals – Brian Howe) 5. Gotta Get Out (lead vocals – Brian Howe) 6. Better Watch Out (lead vocals – Jeff Scott Soto) 7. Don't Say No (lead vocals – Lee Small) 8. Wait A Little Longer (lead vocals – Brian Howe) 9. Holy Water (lead vocals – Steve Overland) 10. Rock And Roll (Is Good For You) (lead vocals – Brian Howe)
  3. From the band: The new Rockett Love album Galactic Circus is finally ready. The mix and master from Erik Mårtensson is delivered and sounds killer. The cover art by André Beckston looks really cool. Now let’s see if we can find a record label.

  7. New album 'III' out May 19 through Pride & Joy Music. Press release: STORMBURST was formed in July 2014 with the intention to make high quality Melodic Hardrock music without any compromises, whatsoever. No more covers so to speak, just all original song material. Bass player Kent Jansson (Six Feet Under, Keen Hue, Steam) and guitarist Thomas Hansson (Steam, Coastline) started out with singer Lars-Åke ”Plåtis” Nilsson (Keen Hue) and to achieve the special sound they were looking for. Keyboardist Peter Östling (Six Feet Under) was sent a demo and pretty much joined immediately. In late 2019 original drummer Peter Ytterberg quit for personal reasons and was soon replaced by Mr. Pelle Hindén of Eternal (Of Sweden). Stormburst as a band and unit is all about uncompromisingly doing what you believe in, even if you have a headwind. When the wind blows hard in life sometimes (as it really does), the love of music is still in all conditions strong and sustainable. Stormburst has the ability to reflect this with their own music and lyrics and their style can best be described as a combination of traditional Melodic Hardrock & AOR. The band is based in the heartland of Sweden, Dalarna and all members contribute to the song-writing and arrangement process. Stormburst have released two albums so far: ”Raised On Rock” (2017, AOR Heaven) and “Highway To Heaven” (2020, AOR Heaven). Now, “III” is the third album by Stormburst which will be released on May 19th, 2023 via Pride & Joy Music. All songs were written by Nilsson, Hanson, Jansson, Hinden, and Östling and recorded At Studio Plåtis Vansbro and Studio Bakery Äppelbo between December 2022 and February 2023. The band crafts classic '80s melodic rock with their own modern touch. Strong hooks, big arrangements, and a ton of 'feeling' is at the core of Care of Night, who are known for mixing their songs with a slightly progressive feel while never losing their melodic touch. After undergoing some member changes since the release of the last album, Care of Night are now back with original members vocalist Calle Schönberg, guitarist Viktor Öström Berg, and drummer Linus Svensson being joined by their newest members, bassist Niklas Svensson Nattfare and keyboardist Victor Berg. The band, originally formed in 2009, have released a self-titled EP (2013), and two studio albums, their debut, "Connected" (2015) and "Love Equals War" (2018). 14. New single 'I've Got A Feelin'' out this Friday. From Mighty Music: While the world was twisted and spinning oddly like a broken carousel in the last couple of years, Swedish funk-infused rock’n’roll bastard child ELECTRIC BOYS were busy touring, penning their following record, and trying to figure out how to make sense of all this mess we’re living in. They took the Scandinavian Winter to retreat to warmer climates and booked a studio in Spain, where they spent a few weeks recording what will be their next studio album. But the first teaser is already here, and it lives up to Electric Boys’ high standards. “I’ve Got A Feeling” is pure rock soul, with a classy riff, a mellow chorus, and that storytelling, baritone, charming voice of Conny Bloom to top it all. All in all, the best way to foreshow the Swedes upcoming studio album and to leave you the feelin’ that they’re up to something really good. Again. Despite the world is still twisted and spinning oddly like a broken carousel. ”Yes, I DO have a feelin’…” Conny Bloom says. “That something good is about to happen. New paths will be crossed and new doors will be opened, so let’s party like it’s 2023!”.

In 2016, Cry Of Dawn released a straight ahead AOR/Melodic Rock self-titled debut album which highlighted Edman's amazing vocal abilities on a superb set of songs. The result was a true feast for the ears of all lovers of the classic AOR genre.
